Dear Brother,

sometimes i feel that we Catholics are like the foreigners in the world. our thinking, beliefs are far more different than other churches.. so trully i was like living in a dilemma. But now i am very glad to know all about our Lady here. Thank you very much.

But could you tell me why do we pray for the dead people and celebrate All Souls day? and why do we keep idols or statues in our home or in churches?

@JesselovesTheCross We pray for the Souls of those who have died and are in Purgatory that they may be brought into heaven. Our prayers and sacrifices for them (the reason for All Souls Day) atone for their sins that they may be purified and made ready for heaven. To understand Purgatory you could watch No Apologies #94-95.

Its amazing that God needed a human body to re unite the relationship we lost so used Mary as the vessal to closing the gap in our re uniting with God making it the most powerful reformation in the earth God has ever planned.The word becomes flesh indeed.

@goldenfortune2 We sinners are saved by Jesus through His suffering, death and resurrection. Mary was saved not because she is a sinner but because she was prepared for the incarnation of the Word of God. It's like we are saved after we fell in the mud, but Mary was saved from falling in the mud. It's still saving right?

Great explanation. For more on Mary and the Ark check Scott Hahn apologetics on this. Parallels between Mary and the Ark of the covenant is made in the gospels of Luke (visit to Elizabeth) and in revelation where the Ark appears next to the WOMAN and child in the sky.

In Hebrews paul says in the 9th and that Jesus is the one that dissigned the New covenent,Mary was not, and though if mary was obediant and said be it unto me, God found that Mary was willing obediant , but as faras the new covenent that was God's idea mary had nothing to do with it.started with abraham then went to Jesus then to us as belivers gal3:13-29

there are a lot more forshadowings of Mary as the ark of the covenante then he is menching such as how david danced before the ark of the covenante and how john the babtist danced before mary in the womb and many others

Allow me to say that these are very interesting intepretations. I now have a glimps of why R/Catholics are passionate about the fact that it is only the Church Fathers who can inteprete the scriptures. My concern is whether they realize the implication of those intepretations. I have one question to the poster of the video: Why was Jesus the Lamb to be slain to take away the sins of the world?

there is no biblical support for the veneration of mary.

I'm not a pastor but my wife is and most of my good friends are. I'm a member of the Free Methodist Church. i'd also like to clarify that i'm not one of those anticatholic conspiracy theorists. several close friends of mine, as well as some of my favorite authors are catholic (chesterton, Wolfe, etc...)

@auret In Revelation 12.1 it says that the sky opened and a the Ark of the Covenant was present. It was a lady, Mary. Are you saying Jesus is a woman?
