I'm a strong Christain and I find this game very interesting, though I might not play it. I read the book and it was very good, it's always nice to think of the "What if"s: What if superheroes really existed? What if hell was really explained in 9 circles. Very interesting stuff, even though I still take hell very seriously and believe that hell exists.

This game is going to be ace & if each circle has different types of enemies. example: Gluttony - Fat, overgrown monsters, Greed - Monsters in gold armor, money, etc.

Then this will have lots of different enemy types and wont get dull easily.

Cant wait to kill lucifer at the end aswell.

If this turns out to be an awesome game they will probably make the sequels, Dante's Purgatory and Dante's Paradise.

Shut the hell up, Skate really is a good game. Although the originality comes from how much money EA has to release 100's of brand merchandise to use with your character. :/

It's not so much the serious aspect. The Idea's of Dante's Inferno are very serious. In comedies the main character doesn't die, he overcomes whatever obstacle makes up the conflict. As oppose to tragedies, where the conflict kills the main character.

the book is called "the inferno" and since it was written by dante...it's called Dante's inferno. the series is the divine comedy.

Virgilio is just a guide, Dante is the main character of Divina commedia. Virgilio can't go up to Purgatorio, so he couldn't play the sequel, but not Dante. I'm looking forward to the 3rd chapter of the game, Paradiso, where you must fight all the saints and the final monster, God himself.

If you'd read the epic, you'd know just by watching this trailer that it wouldn't be staying true to the Inferno at all. For one, Dante doesn't depict himself like some sort of hero, as the trailer implies, no, he faints, several times, during his trip through the levels of hell, and he relies heavily on Virgil, his guide, to even make it through some of the lesser levels, let alone the deeper ones. His works deserve more respect than being made into a mindless slash and kill game.

Most actually TALK to him, ask of the living world, or beg to know why hes there, considering hes still alive. Not once did the damned try to harm him, the creatures of hell, Cerberus and the Minotaur, to name a few, didnt, at Virgils command theyd leave him, and when Virgil wasnt able to stop them, God, supposedly, would.

EA's "Dante's Inferno" is simply utilizing the book's name in order to produce something "cool" and capitalize on the book's success as a notable classic widely considered as a very intellectual work, thus people will consider the game "smart" as well.

Yeah, you could say that, but level one (so called Limbo) is not for christians, but pagans who didn't know who christ is. So technically the first level for christians in in fact the 2nd circle: Lust. But can you say that is it nice? Dante says that those punished for the sin of lust, those who's lives were overflown by sensual pleasure, are forever tormented and tossed around by an endless storm. That symbolizes the power of lust, which tosses human from one to another for their whole life.
