These are really similar to Mexican Wedding cookies, except they usually call for pecans or walnuts. They must be yummy with the pine nuts! Must try them sometime.
Is the same recipe my grandmother uses but instead of pine nuts she uses walnut or pecans....and there are awesome is like u say their flakey and buttery....yum....;p
Laura I need your help. My boyfriend told me that he once in italy ate cookies, that were SUPER delicious and he can't forget them. The basic ingridient should be sth with coconut. Do you know what it could be ?
these are alot like the traditional Mexican cookies that are also typically served in weddings...my grandma always makes them for holidays though because all of our family loves them so much :) she makes tons of them!...except we use diffrent nuts, i dont know what they are called though...lol
can you explain why you tell us to do certain things... like why you want to bake them either at the very top or the very bottom of the oven? wouldn't it cook more evenly if it's in the middle rack?
For people asking how she maintains her weight, the answer is actually obvious: MODERATION.
Moderation means you watch your serving size and calorie intake as to not overeat or eat more calories than you should (that is, more than what you burn).
If you live a very sedentary lifestyle (you don't move around or exercise much), you are not going to burn as many calories as someone who does.
So, be mindful of calories, and get up and exercise!
@Angelafire94 blender's are usually made for liquids so they have a different blade compared to a food processor, a blender churns/swirls were as a food processor slices & blitz's
@angelafire94 Blenders tend to be more funnel shaped and that is more suited for blending with liquids or making smooth pastes. Processor are better for chopping into fine bits, and mixing. You can use them for the same things sometimes, but it might be taxing on the motor because you trying to make the machine do something its not meant to.

This is basically like what my grandmother always makes (she's german/austrian), except this uses pine nuts (which sounds awesome, Im gonna try it sometime instead) instead of almonds like we traditionally used. It's literally just butter, sugar, and ground nuts. Pecans are also really good. :)

These are wonderful with Pine Nuts, yes. But there are variations on this theme from other Countries and Cultures using any number of nuts.
You can also with tasty success used Pistachios, Hazelnuts, Almonds, Walnuts, Pecans...lol, you get the idea, and all are equally delicious.
