That being said, it looks a lot more daunting than it really is. People get scared when they see the steel rails from the outside and the ridiculous height of the first drop. But that first drop is totally tame, not very steep, and you literally glide into it.
Too bad they took out all the loops and inversions and put in all those lame-ass bunny hops. That's why I moved to L.A. -- Six Flags Magic Mountain in Valencia, CA is once again the park with the most coasters (even beats Cedar Point!).
@fhood DeJa Vu is being removed in two weeks...they will then be tied with CP again for most coasters...also Superman still doesn't technically count as a coaster, putting them back at 1 behind the point.

Come out to Los Angeles and go to Six Flags Magic Mountain if you want REAL roller-coasters that are 255 feet high, tons of inversions, floorless, etc.. Ride X2 which is a 4th-dimensional coaster at Magic Mountain -- it's insane! It makes the coasters at Kennywood lame by comparison. I grew up in western PA, we used to think Thunderbolt was the bomb. Once you've been around a bit, you realize it isn't. Cedar Point is better than Kennywood. Steel Phantom was better when it had the loop.

There was also low ridership because of the issues that some people had, but I rode the original ride for years between 5-10 rides per my trip and experienced no massive head trauma or headaches from the ride.

this ride is beast! i ride it 10 times everytime i go to kennywood. They have this new kennywood rollercoaster thats coming out in 2010. It has yet to be named but it should be done before the park opens this summer in 2010. i cant wait to ride it when i go to kennywood this summer! the ride launches you from 0-50 mph in just one second and it has corkscrews and loops. it sounds beast!

I think we are talking two different rides. Before the original Steel Phantom was replaced with the Phantom's Revenge, it did in fact have loops. I rode it. Look up the videos on youtube. The green coaster, in this video - Phantom's Revenge, is a new coaster, so it never had loops. The black Steel Phantom did. No doubt about it.
no the revenge is way faster now. revenge goes 85 steel phantom went 80 plus steel phantoms loops sucked. the bunny hills are way faster den the loops cause the steel phantom had a brake to slow dem down plus revenge aint gon be here no longer anyway. 2011 will be the revenges last year at kennywood

yeah they re-tracked it im not 2 sure why... but its in a park called Kennywood in West Mifflin (just outside of Pittsburgh), Pennsylvania. USA. I love that park!

it looks a lot scarrier than it actually is.
i rode it for the first time this year and now its my fave ride.

I was scared out of my mind the first time I rode it. Its super scary going up the hill but after the ride is over, you feel stupid for being afraid because its fun. But I still get super nervous waiting in line. I have videos on the hill going up :] hah.

i was gonna complain that the camera was shaky but ive been on this ride before (FaVoRiTe RiDe @ Kennywood!!) and i though NO FUCKIN DUH...it was probably hard to keep the camera still! Great vid!!

I think we are talking two different rides. Before the original Steel Phantom was replaced with the Phantom's Revenge, it did in fact have loops. I rode it. Look up the videos on youtube. The green coaster, in this video - Phantom's Revenge, is a new coaster, so it never had loops. The black Steel Phantom did. No doubt about it.

no the revenge is way faster now. revenge goes 85 steel phantom went 80 plus steel phantoms loops sucked. the bunny hills are way faster den the loops cause the steel phantom had a brake to slow dem down plus revenge aint gon be here no longer anyway. 2011 will be the revenges last year at kennywood
