@AgentThis99 Excellent question and thanks so much for asking. Yes, indeed! Fractional gold bullion coins carry a higher premium (percentage wise versus the spot price of gold). Why? When you're dealing with smaller numbers, the markup over the spot price of gold will always be higher as a percentage. This is how coin dealers make money. That said, I'm a huge buyer of fractional gold coins and there are many reasons to buy them even with the added premium.
@Lesgrimshaw15 Thanks for the question! Currently, I do not own any platinum except some really small micro coins, but it's definitely something I'd like to add to my collection. I'm most interested in buying a platinum American Eagle.
@Valless Absolutely! I'm always looking to buy more gold coins. I'm a smaller time investor/collector, but I do invest and make the dollars I have available stretch. These days, I'm mainly buying fractional gold coins (especially tenth ounce gold coins).
@Valless I purchased the bulk of my gold coins in the $500-$700/ounce range. That said, I continue to purchase more gold coins. Thanks so much for all the great questions and support, I very much appreciate it!
@Valless Excellent question! I'm really a long term buy and hold investor when it comes to gold. I purchased most of my coins in the $500-$700/ounce range (although I am still a buyer to this day) and will be holding for the long term. I would perhaps consider selling at the $5,000/ounce range, but again have really purchased gold as a protective hedge (and I just love my coins so much that I couldn't stand to part with them). :-)
@bichettereds Thanks so much for the comment! :-) I truly appreciate it. You are absolutely right. After these first two videos that I shot in 2010 with my iPhone, the feedback was so positive that I decided to invest in a better camera. Check out my first four videos from 2011 and you'll see the difference. I appreciate your support and hope you enjoy the clarity of my newer videos (I'm looking forward to shooting/uploading many more in 2011 and beyond).
Thanks for the great videos. I'll have to go check out your website. Buying gold and silver is the way to go, when the democrats finish devaluing our dollar, it's all we will have left.
@Desertrat2k8 Thanks so much for the kind words, I truly appreciate the positive feedback! Also, I recommend checking out my newer videos. I'm now filming in HD quality video with a tripod too so the video production quality of my gold and silver coins is really super for 2011! :-)
Hey, I love your website, I've been an email subscriber for a few months now and I have really loved all of the information that I have gained from it. You are the reason I really started collecting various metals (mainly copper and silver as I can't afford a lot of gold). I just wanted to say that I really enjoyed the video, the only thing I might suggest is that you look into buying a tripod. It would make it easier to keep shots in frame and the autofocus wouldn't work as hard either.
@ZackTheKack Thanks so much for the comment, I really appreciate your support and visiting my website. I'm looking forward to uploading many more videos in the coming months. You bring up a great point, a tripod and also better camera would certainly help. Definitely something I'm saving my money for, but it's tough because I'd always rather spend my money on copper and silver bullion! :-) Thanks again!
