DUDE! You just inspired the crap out of me man! I've been wanting to do this since I was a kid and have always pushed it away. I have a great job, make a decent living and like you, I really have nothing to lose. I'm 40 and I am finally going to sit down and just write. I'm going to read up, learn and then write! I really appreciate your words. I needed a jump start and I'm glad I ran into this video. Thank you so much....Rob NY
@rerr2000 Good deal man. I'd suggest you check out my "Screenwriting Theory" video as well. I explain a little about Syd Field's theory and Blake Snyder's theory, and how both of them will give you a solid foundation to explore your own methods with.
This was very informative! This vid helped me to explore better softwares. I've been working on a series based on my school life and, like you said, it is VERY ENJOYABLE. Writing can also be a way to channel your feelings, too.
@777greggy1777 You bet. It's a great form of expression. As long as you do it for fun and don't base "success" around whether or not you ever sell a screenplay, it'll be a long lasting and rewarding experiance/hobby.
@MyOtherCareer EXACTLY!!! I write nightly and, though I confess, a lot of my plots are derived from occasional eavesdropping, the emotion involved in my writing comes from me. And, though getting noticed would be great, I think my main reason for writing is simple enjoyment.
@walruspower60 Seth Rogen? That's a first. I've heard Steve Martin and Bob Sagat, but never Seth Rogen. Glad you liked the video. Let me know if you have any questions.

@777greggy1777 Yeah, I kind of view it like playing video games. It's fun. I enjoy it. But the odds of being able to do it for a living are slim.

He looks kind of like Seth Rogen. This is a really good video.
