I like this response a lot. You showed a non-conventional view of it by regarding a neurological "condition" (not negative) instead of just someone wanting bigger boobs on their baby to exploit it.

To those of you that say homosexuality is not a gene, though there is no conclusive evidence either way, I thoroughly believe it is. I think I have heard several times that homosexuality is a chemical imbalance. Alll chemicals in the body are produced by glands, and what controls glands? Genes!

I did not say homosexuality is a gene. No one knows where homosexuality comes from but it may have genetic factors as well as environmental factors. Also, I don't appreciate your ad hominem, your objections are well noted without the idiocy of personal attacks levied at me. I see you offering no proof to counter my own.

What do you mean about the benefits of gay babies? Is it that they are less likely to reproduce, and thereby lower the population? Also, ha, how could evangelicals have said they would abort gay babies. I thought evangelicals didn't believe that homosexuality exists. At least all the evangelicals I've talked to think that. How do you abort something that doesn't exist. What a hilarious study! Do you have a link with a website showing that study? I'd like to see it.

I may have made an error when I asserted that there was a study. I had heard of it, but rumor is rarely factual. After combing through many articles I have found little scientific support for that statement and so I retract it as such. But and argument can be made that it is not out of the realm of what certain people find unconscionable.

I have also spoken with Evangelicals, it seems that it depends on whom you speak with. Fred Phelps would assert that homosexuals exist, as would the doctrine he quotes. Although I imagine most believe it is a choice and a sinful one, it is clearly illogical to assert that the act of homosexuals does not exist.

In many animal species homosexuality exists such as the Bonobos, American Bison, Mallards, Gulls, Penguins, Dragonflies, Giraffes and Lions to name a few. In life-mating species such as penguins two males have been observed bonding in captivity and refuse to rebond to an opposite gender partner even when separated. The benefits may include, respite from overpopulation and adoption of orphans. Black Swan offspring are often found with same gender parents.
