I use a lot of excuses, gym is not one of them however. I just don't want to put in the effort and end up not getting any of the result. It's happened before, or maybe that's just because I didn't stick with it long enough. But 6 months of cardio every day and not losing weight? It got frustrating. I use my weight as an excuse for everything, mainly for not getting the job I want. But I know that's a bunch of bull, it's all in my head.
I congratulate you! I am just getting started with this whole weight loss journey and it is super hard. I am such a picky eater and that just multiplies it by 10. I am also from Illinois so I know about this cold a** weather and trying to get out in it to do some type of exercise. Keep up the good work!

I bought Turbo fire but I also do the stairs at my job. Me and a co-worker with walk up and down the stairs 10 times. It really gets our heart rates up. Also when the weather is good we walk in the parking lot and before I got turbo fire I was using my jump rope which cost less then $10. first i just want to say, you are such an inspiration to others. i have a question im about 5'2 and 150 i want to be 130 by april and lose more from there but my goal right now is 130 april. i work out everyday besides sunday and try to eat healthy, ut sometimes my weight goes up to 152 then go back down to 148. what other things do you think i should do?

I am soooo proud of you. I've lost 21 lbs so far. I only lose about 2 lbs a week. Its slow but too much weight per week is not good. Giving myself time enough to tone at the same time.

I have been researching and researching ways to do so, going to try out today. hopefully it will work. :l Will be picking up a dvd either zumba or biggest loser at Walmart. Maybe both?
Freecycle is also a great place to get free workout stuff. Just post a 'wanted' email and a lot of people will reply. This lady near me was giving away a freaking elliptical yesterday. Haha I wish I had a truck.
I do agree about the trainer though, I split the cost with a friend and I didn't lose any weight at tall...all I did was gain it during the 6 months we did it for. They made me do exercises I didn't like and I didn't see any results at all after the 2nd month. I don't really recommend them. I had more success losing weight by myself than with a trainer. I love classes so...tapes don't really work for me.
I don't lose weight well when I don't go to the gym. I walk the track at a park and I watch what I am eating, but I don't lose weight. People don't believe me, but I usually gain weight when I exercise. I'm 5'2" 184 pounds and I've been eating better since the beginning of the year and 2 weeks ago I started exercising about 3x a week. I haven't lost any weight, I'm tracking what I'm eating and my exercise, I also did my measurements...so I guess we will see.

You got to have a "DO RIGHT' mind. I didn't renew my membership with Gold's this year because when I calculated the money I spent on the membership, and the personal trainer (yes I did), and my excuse was that I had to look good (IN MY WEDDING DRESS!); however I was paying him more than I was paying for my car note every month, and my car is a new car. It was horrible, plus I was sneaking doing it without my husband's knowledge. He didn't do nothing, i did it myself going 6 to 7 days a week.

I watch your videos Regularly. I put your videos on FB to motivate my friends. I started at 270 in june. I weighed myself last in october. I was 225 last time I checked. I know I have lost weight since then, but Im scared to check the scale. I say forget the scale. lol. I HAVE YET TO HIT A GYM BTW! Stay at home.
I have a membership at a gym but I prefer to be home doing my workouts...I go to the gym to take classes mainly coz I like the energy but when I want to do some hardcore stuff...I use my dvds n that way no one sees me damn near about to pass out!

@mapy1979 i felt the same way! when i started i didnt like being the only really big person in the gym. dont feel that way. check out my "gym rant" video and read the comments. i did what my subbies said and kept going. and now i love everyone at my gym they are literally my second family.
I also like this seasons theme . I'm telling you I can and will make up every excuse on why I can't work out but will be ready in 10 mins to go out to eat . I work out 3-4x a week but I mandatory do some form of fitness for 30 mins a day and it helps . I dislike working out but I have to do it . I tell myself it's not an option like brushing your teeth and washing your face I have to work out.
I found planet fitness only 21.30 a month and you get a personal trainer what sux is how work and school I havent been able to go alot but now I found up that the gym is open almost 24hrs so its gona be 10pm work outs or 8am ones. Hope to here from you stay strong

For anyone that is a Comcast customer you can go to the OnDemand go to Sports & Fitness and go to Fitness Workouts and it is plenty of free exercise shows i think each digital package it's free but I'm not 100% sure
well for me im in a wheelchair n dont have access to a van or a car. so i bought me sum 5 lbs weights and use them and i do this aerobics that i found on youtube for ppl in wheelchairs n i do them. i do my lift ups with my legs and arms. i do this everyday for 20-30 mins a day. So far i lost 83 lbs in 3 1/2 months. So there is no excuses. If u r serious abt losing weight u will find away. i think you are a pretty person big or skinny and i look up to u. i know if u can then i kno i can too.
U can lose weight without a gym. First, start walking thats free and cut calories. Oh, of course their are other ways too. Up and down the stairs, dancing, and etc...

You are right there are no excuses!! The biggest one I hear is I can't workout b/c I have kids. Kids love to workout also they can jump around and all that stuff so they will be worn out. Yes fish does that's why I eat it all the time and its lean. I lost almost all my weight at home so you don't need a gym to lose weight.

2. Dont have dumbells? replaced them with a can of food or rice bags
3. the internet!!! especially you tube.. just look up at home exercises
4. stairmaster? most of us have home stairs
5. Music! put on some dancing music and just dance!

and your RIGHT!!! I looked @ home much i spend on food (junk) in i was sooo mad at myself for doin such n i said to myself if i can spend ALOT of money on food then i can pay for a gym n thats what i did...MY "NEW" GYM sucked! I might give another gym a try now LOL

I have a question.. How did you get yourself motivated to start losing weight? I'm 18 and I've been overweight my whole life. I want so bad to lose weight but I can't get myself motivated to do it or to stick with it.

girllllllllllll if ppl knew what i knew they wouldnt go to the gym u didnt see my rant video about them?? LOL..Honey after my few months r over with the gym IM DONE,,Im working out at home...u really dont need a gym n most of them trainers dont care about u anyways....NO EXCUSES!!!
