But why the money

  • the only help from gambling is suicide

  • @drabeblaine Your comment is so cruel and you are an idiot

  • I have a gambling problem. I am seeking help for the first time now. I'm 24. I just lost 3000 dollars playing blackjack, poker online. I'm so miserable right now, and hope that i can quit this BS. It's nice when your winning, but winning is just temporary. I know that, but still i gamble. Im ashamed of my self. I lie to my family. I lie to my friends. I lie to myself...... Thank you for sharing this video, it helps to hear other ppl talking about the same problem.

  • @jakobpind

You are not alone. There is help. Find Gamblers Anonymous, and if you really want help, this is the place that works.

  • @jakobpind i no how u feel mate in the same boat.. hope u sort things out

  • travelling really helps me stop ... one really good way is to wear an elastic band - everytime you get an impulse to gamble - slap the elastic band on your wrist

elastic band is good ... travelling to place in the country - or to another country where you cant gamble is good ...

    good luck

  • @brianmcarthur52 With the elastic band you are replacing an emotional desire with physical pain and soon your mind links the two. So the moment you think of gambling you get the anxiety from the new conditioned response - desire turns into aversiont. Pavlov called this the conditioned response, where he would feed the dogs and ring a bell. Soon the dogs would salivate when he just rang the bell.

You could also use TFT to help you quit gambling. Let me know if anyone has success these methods.

  • i lost 30 pound of my college pay which i needed.

    i'm only 18.

    Fumin

  • @lufc08lufc Look the posting by brianmcarthur52 about breaking your state by taking a walk or travelling. Also try the elastic band method or TFT.

Try the Dr Angelo Escudero trick. The moment you have a thought of gambling, hold some saliva in your mouth (this will break the anxiety in its tracks) and initiate a command (which travels twice as fast as the chemical anxiety build-up) such as “My mind is healthy, gambling free. I am a non-gambler and I feel fine.” Let me know if this works 4you.

  • I have a gambling addiction. I have lost everything financially, twice bunckrupcty, and I am still 35 years old. Everytime i get 100 bucks i have to run to local casino. I have lost thousands in 15 years that I have been gambling. I need help, I cant stop.

  • @Arayik777 I can assure you that there is a life out there without gambling. Trying to end it all will serve no one, you or your family. The thing you need to remember is that when you are born, you only have to fears, the fear of falling and the fear of loud noises – everything else is learnt. Now here is the key, anything that can be learnt can be unlearnt including gambling. Just find a really good hypnotherapist and ask him to help you. Maybe I should just come over to the USA and help you.

  • nothing has been able to stop me gambling so fare, I always fall back into that & life is too hard to deal with & gambling is an escape for me. I've been to about 8 groups had 4 different 1 on 1 doctors but to sort though my addiction & over come my issues but nothing works. Im 24 & have attempted suicide twice over gambling.

  • @crazyhippy685 Don’t despair. It’s possible to quit gambling as easy as pie. You just need to find a good hypnotherapist who will help you. In our clinic we help you lose all desire for gambling in the first session. In the second session we help you write-off all of your losses of your past so you don’t try and gamble to win them back. Also, gambling has become your emotional crutch, try and do something different when you get stressed instead of gambling - join a gym or learn to meditate.

  • If you feel happy with gambling then great. Yes, it can break your state and take you away from your problems. This is why it becomes an emotional crutch. So when you have a bad day what do you think about? gambling. The problem is that once you lose your money then you are in an un-resourceful state, you take bigger chances and the more mistakes you make. I have known people lose a fortune on internet binary betting in this way. The harder you try to win the more you lose - very painful - ouch!

  • @Shokat01 I agree, but I think every gambler knows that when you put your money down there's a chance you're going to lose it. I've lost a lot in my life and I used to blame the "disease" but I've come to realize that's kinda why I gamble, that's the thrill of it. If you're willing to accept the winnings if and when you win, then you have to realize that you might lose or you shouldn't be gambling. If you lose that's the chance you take.

  • @danteras23 What a beautiful feedback. You are absolutely right – I could not have put it better myself. I have messed up my website so I got my work cut out for me but you enjoy your weekend. Take care. Shokat

  • @Shokat01 in 1 session would then be very hard to lose it all at once.... and in the long run depending on what game your playing i.e if your playing against the house then every one should know that even with bank roll management and time management because of the house edge WE ALL LOSE in the end in roullete obviously the zero gives the 4.5% egde to the casino which is more than enough....even with the martingale system in the long run because of the zero you lose ! everyone should be aware of

  • I'm a compulsive gambler and I gamble because it makes me happy. That is why people gamble. If you're happier without gambling, good for you, but some people enjoy it. Blaming gambling for all your problems is nonsense. You do it because your "normal" life is empty and boring.

  • @danteras23 Thanks for sharing your experiences of gambling. Happiness is a state of mind. You can be happy driving your car, you can be happy rock climbing, you can be happy in all sorts of ways. If that is the case why pick something that can get out of control and ruin your life in every way. I have never gone to a gambling casino and never well. My happiness is pretty modest, just going to 241 orange Wednesday and see a film with my lovely wife is my idea of happiness.

  • @Shokat01 That's my point. It seems like a lot of people like to blame their addictions for their unhappiness. Well, you wouldn't be doing in the first place if they didn't make you happy on some level and didn't fill a void in your life. If you've learned to live without it or replaced in some way, that's great, but reason why people gamble or drink or do drugs is because it does something for them and they need it. It doesn't seem right to turn around and blame the addiction after the fact.

  • @danteras23 Maybe I should explain this from a psychological point. You see, your mind is designed to take you away from pain and towards pleasure. This can be both physical and emotional pain. The moment someone has the first drag from crack the mind takes them away from all of their current circumstances which may be painful and towards instant pleasure. The same is true of gambling the pain of losing and the pleasure of winning get so compulsive that breaking free is almost impossible.

  • @Shokat01 I don't dispute that. That's not my point though.

  • @danteras23 I respect your feedback and I value your opinions. It takes time and trouble to write good feedback, unlike the lot of mindless dribble I have to block. I like your comments because it gives another view of gambling. My own comments are from a therapist point of view, and slant away from gambling, but your comments are from a user’s point of view (if I can call it that). Gambling can be a lot of fun (very exciting) but its only when things go wrong that it becomes a nightmare.

  • my dad and my mom Gambling every dad T-T and most of the money is gone in two or 3 days and we cant buy aney thing or even beacuse most of that money are gone at casino yes some time they win but they still lost at the end none of us cant stop them most of the time the go 1 day and sleep for 1 hrs and go back to the casino !! T-T ( sorry im not good at english )

i wish i can stop them that is my wish >.<

  • @OMFGAKEI I am sorry, that is awful. Gambling is such a powerful addiction that it can latterly consume you and this is what is happening to your parents. Get them out of that environment if you can. Take them to the countryside away from gambling. Then ask them if they feel they have a problem and if they admit that then ask them if they would like help to quit gambling. If they agree then take them to a really good hypnotherapist. I am sure there must be some help local to you. Good luck.

  • @Shokat01 thx i'll try my best =D

  • Man I am hearing ya. I have been gambling for the last 5 years and becoming addicted. I have won sums of money several times and then end up loosing it all back. Some things I do are 1. I can only withdraw 300 dollars a day from my atm, I am eliminating my other checking account and my credit card, I do not have a pin number for, so I cant use it in an atm. I think this will help a lot, if it's something you can do. I think the key for people like us is that we will keep playing no matter losses

  • @okie294life Andrew had used similar tactics to contain his habit by enlisting the help of his mum who kept hold of all of his credit cards and allowed him an allowance per month. However, since he had the therapy he has taken full control of his finances as he no longer has the urge to gamble. Your willpower is vastly boosted after successful hypnotherapy.

  • Goodluck my friend - I feel your pain ;-)

  • how the fuck can u gamble aged 12 lol

  • @Gunna345 Its not difficult at all. You go into any arcade, put some money into the slot machine and you can start gambling. I remember experimenting with one arm bandits when I was about 10 years old. Most funfair's are open to all ages here in the UK.

  • Give this man a break. It takes a lot of guts to admit that you are wrong and it takes even more strength of character to admit that in front of a camera. It’s so easy to knock other people or things you don’t understand. If you want to see the person full of 'shit' then I suggest you take a look in the mirror. Learn to respect other peoples opinions and you may get somewhere in life.

  • @Shokat01 thank you for this reply, i agree, this man has the courage to open up and perhaps help someone in the process, loving with an addiction id hell and i hope he can overcome it.

  • your full of shit. why did u go into the bookie for piss ur still a lose

  • @dmlject Give the man a break. At this man has the balls to share his story with the world. Most people start to 'shit bricks' if you ask them for a testimonial. Its not easy to sit in front of a camera and tell the world that you screwed up and in the process inspire just one person to quit gambling before it's too late.

  • Man...I feel ya. My Mom borrowed well over $10,000 from me...it was supposed to help her family in Hong Kong, but she was gambling the whole time when I found out later. I was so mad, Gambling ruins families...thank you for this video, gambling is not the solution to earn more money.

  • I have earned 33,000 within the last 2 months using a poker bot. You guys should try one now. Basically go to freepokerbotXnet (replace X with . ) and pick it up for free! Is likely to definitely change your life!
