  • My corn snake eats live mice I think it's a more natural and good exercize for her...

  • i always just defrost the mouse and shove it in the viv for the corn snake to eat itself, i see no point in using feeding tongs i just put the mouse in and leave it to eat in peace...

  • @DeathKitty123456 my snakes won't touch it if it's just sitting still, they were both converted from live to frozen.

  • @PaintBalla701 my snakes were never fed live mice, it is cruel and not allowed in the UK anyway... :P

  • soo not cool i got 9 pet mice! i hate snakes cause they EAT MICE

  • @cutiepie4171 Its part of the food chain. And they dont all eat mice some eat, eggs, bunnys, rats, fish, other snakes. And if they r big enuff they can eat people, but they usally wont do that.

  • @cutiepie4171 You should hate yourself cuz you eat ... *gasp* chicken!

  • orchid bark? seriously -_-' aspen shavings or newspaper, not freaking orchid bark. too high in humidity.

  • Got a creamsicle, love it :)

  • Don't feed your snake in the same tank it lives in! Bad example on this video.

  • @xXGFYXxjibs why is that?

  • @xXGFYXxjibs I have never had a problem feeding my snakes in their enclosures. Over 30 years experience in keeping snakes. It is a myth that they will associate your hand with food - they are more scent driven than sight driven.

  • @knox2613 Same here we only had a problem 1 time bc my bros snake had 2 go 2 weeks with out food while we were away and when we got back she was in middle of shading so she could not c well and my dad was just tucking her mouse so she miss took it 4 the mouse, that was defrosting, but she let go right away.

  • snakesss!

  • if you see anything abnormal, take it to the vet :D didnt expect that...

  • @SmashedSkullOfficial rubbish, its not,its all bullshit whats said in this vid

  • @SmashedSkullOfficial They r like the easest pet 2 take care of other then fish.

  • it skips 3:48

  • Where would the snake get salmonella? from the mice? I'm just wondering. I have never owned a snake.

  • @Future88888888 It's in their natural gut flora :)

  • thumbs up if your watching this because you're bored

  • clean the tank everyday? geez....

  • @datlibra17 "Clean the take once or twice a week"

  • dead mouse meets snake *noses bump*.... snake: o_o .....GWAHhhh nom nom nom nom! ^o^

My sister owns corn snakes I have yet to meet them. :o

  • ok then :?

  • 2:22 I feel like it's cute, but I feel disturbed at the same time...

  • Can somebody reply to this comment with a REALISTIC list of items (type of wood-chips to the tank to the food etc etc) that I will need to care for one of these. Cleaning stuff and all? Thanks so much I want to get one of these so bad. But if I do I want it to live very happily.

  • @SpaceshipAwesome Aspen bedding, a 10-20 gallon tank, an undertank heating pad, two hides (can be anything from serial boxes to plastic containers) for the warm and cold side of the tank, water dish, look up the Munson plan for feeding. It goes over what size mouse to feed to the snake relative to its body weight. Feed it previously frozen, thawed dead mice. You can feed it in a different container if you'd like, I do. I bought one of those real cheap critter keepers for that

  • hey i got a 1 year old corn, and still havnt come up with a name..... please reply if you have one ppllleeeaassee. hes a boy and hes normal coloured! thanks :)

  • @XCrazyKezX Megatron

  • @XCrazyKezX Optimus Prime.

  • I own a corn snake, they're really cool.

  • Snakes do not enjoy human contact, they just tolerate it. And corn snakes tolerate human contact very well.

  • @LoveDoggsDawgs so i shouldnt touch my snake and just leave it in its tank until i clean it dont think so

  • @LoveDoggsDawgs Actually they do, they really enjoy the warmth

  • @LoveDoggsDawgs how do you know?

  • @sporkberry Research.

  • @LoveDoggsDawgs True, but after many years of it they come 2 enjoy. And corn snakes do enjoy human contact I know this bc I have 1 can (s)he wil not let me put her down hafe the time. (Btw I said '(s)he bc its 2 small and young 4 thee the sex 2 be knowen.)

  • @LoveDoggsDawgs wellllllllllllll cornsnakes if bought from pet stores love human contact

  • @LoveDoggsDawgs my boas and corns enjoy human contact.

  • "it will constrict you snake before eating it"

*corn snake osent bother constricting it and goes straight to eating it*

    LOL

  • @wowfastlord That snake already constricted the mouse before it is offered.

  • i am considering getting one of these within the next one to two weeks. anyone know where i can buy frozen rodents for a juvenile corn snake?

  • to pick up a corn snake make sure it doesn't see your hand or it will bite....

  • how often dose the snake shed its skin?

  • @sniperr505 2wice a month

  • Cool 

  • i have a question.. if u been feeding your baby corn snake pinkies like normal then when it gets older to where its ready for a live mouse will it know to eat it? like i mean its been eating pinkies all its life. when it grows up how will it know what to do with the live one? will it just be instinct?

also another question.. when u move the snake out of the cage to feed it. after its done eating do you put it back in the cage right away or do you wait an hour or two? sorry imma newbie :c

  • @midknightxX9 you shouldn't feed live mice and stuff cos they can injure your snake. Also, don't handle them right after feeding cos they'll regurgitate their meal. Leave it a while :)

  • @EpicMoz thankyou (:

  • @EpicMoz No probz ;)

  • "enjoy human contact " but at 0:24 the snake went back to his home fast as he could

  • lsadd

  • damn brits and the accents........ love em

  • this vid is hilarious, but that ladys voice is annoying me lot. you do not need to wash your snake, if u see anything abnormal take it to the vet.

  • Bottled water rly? What did they do in the wild? Like find a water bottle tree lol, if im wrong tell me. it just seems a little outrageous.

  • @theguidegod I usually give my corn snake regular tap water; been doing so for six years and he hasn't keeled over yet.

  • 31 mice were eaten by corn snakes

  • 3:12 I swear to god I thought that was Weed LOL!

  • i dont know that to do to get a corn snake or a beared dragon

  • @EmzybadgalXX corn snake!!!!!!! They're cheaper to care for, live longer, it's really fun feeding them and holding them is way cooler.

  • @sasprawler thanks im thinkin geting a corn snake or a chameleon or both thanks for your help

  • @EmzybadgalXX ur welcome. IF you do get a cornsnake and u have any questions you should just message me

  • NEVER put a heat mat directly inside the vivarium like this. Your exposing your reptile to a naked heat source which is likely to severely injure them.

I can't believe the guy in this video claims to be an expert on keeping snakes yet sets his vivarium up like this. What a complete retard!

  • did you know if you think wat they do to the mouse is sad then you can buy crickets. to feed them but feed them more crickets than you would.so that way you dont have to feed the poor mouse to the snake.

  • I've had a Cornsnake for about a year now

  • You can put all that but never put news paper under the tank the snakes hate it

  • I just got a new corn snake today and the pet store raised it on live mice how should i gotabout feeding it them and how long should i wait to start handling the snake now thats its brand new to my home today!?

  • @cjgunboy 2 or 3 days should do it

  • Can snakes sense your fear and would it cause them to bite you?

  • @metarra Well if you're scared of snakes it's probably a good idea not to get one then. in the first place just saying.

  • Comment removed

  • @metalfreak4677 I'm not scared of them. And why should someone who's initially fearful of snakes not have a snake if they are drawn to them? Obviously it would allow the person to become accustomed to the animal. Also known as experience. Have to start somewhere. Thanks for being closed minded though.

  • Comment removed

  • @metalfreak4677 as an example, yes I used to be timid about handling snakes because I had no experience. After handling and feeding snakes, the experience has dispelled any apprehension I have had. What exactly makes you so superior as to advise people to not bother with something they are interested in?

  • @metarra First of all I never said I was "superior" I said "If you're scared of snakes it's probably a good idea not to get one then. In the first place." I don't recall that I said anything about being "Superior". 2nd I don't care about your interest I'm just saying if you're scared of it . Then chances are you'll never go near it,feed it,water it and it'll die. All because some idiot thought it would be a good idea to get a pet that there scared of. So that's all I mean to say.

  • @hamersmashface30 No, unless you handle them in a way that makes them fearful of you. If they are scared of you then they might bite you in self defense. Just be gentle, dont make to many sudden movement or loud noises (eg, shouting and shaking them) and dont poke them in the face to much, as this makes them scared.

    Hope this helps =]

  • Corn snakes DO NOT require a UVB light. That's just another expense. Other than that.....good video!

  • i love my baby cornsnake! : )

  • me 2

  • this lady's voice is really pissing me off

  • Can a young corn snake come down with RI if the tank is 30 - 50% humidity but the tank has been sprayed once a month roughly?

  • oh i WILL have fun with my corn snake XD

  • If you have a normal sized corn snake, How much gallons should the tank be for an adult corn snake and could it live his whole life in a 20 gallon?

  • @23Devin4Hester23 Yes it can if its a 20long

  • @23Devin4Hester23 actully an adut can spend their wholoe life in a ten gallon but a twenty gal is awsome

  • So may wrong things in this video! And when did the aspen bedding become sand? 1:14 3:02 (Wich is stupid to use sand, it gets in their scales and irritates their skin). Some expert he is...

  • @MrRandominium i don't like aspen either especially if feeding in the cage which is retarded. he does everything wrong in this video

  • FOR THE ONES WHO DON´T HAVE CORN SNAKES, IT´S NOT DIFFICULT AS THIS STUPID VIDEO SAIS, IT´S MUCH EASIER AND IN ORDER TO FIND NON-SHITTY INFORMATION ASK ME.

  • do u have to get a huge fancy cage like that? cant u just get an aquarium?

  • Is that a shop or just something to veiw the animals

  • I have an old cage it's 25in long 18 high and 13 in back is that large enough I sorta want to build a nice custom one

  • @TheUsernameAndrew That would be nice if you put in everything it needs for his habitat

  • NON VENOMOUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • if you feed it in the cage they could eat the chips

  • @CarissaCords They have strong stomachs and strong stomach acid. Well some pythons do, idk about corn snakes.

  • 2:19 . . . om nom nom :3

  • Dont put heat pads underneath the tank. EVeR!! It could burn any animal u choose to keep

    caioaj22@uol.com.br - Obrigado!

  • do they ever bite or do they bite very often and are they aggressive

  • @loopyjojo3000

    No ;)

  • what should be the humidety in the cage

  • any one help do snakes need all this heat lamp uv light all this??

  • @xxshabamm360xx no. just keep half of their tank in the 80s range with a heat pad and the other half in the 70s, don't let it drop below 60s. UV is unnecessary. in fact, the light from heat lamps bothers them; if you need one to maintain temperature ranges, get a red or ceramic bulb. also just check and make sure they can't burn themselves on whatever you're using (no heat rocks).

  • @xxshabamm360xx dont UV lighting

  • @xxshabamm360xx NO what this video is trying to say is " dont fucking buy a snake" thats why they exagerate and say they need UV light, which is a lie.

  • @xxshabamm360xx Depends on the snake. Corn snakes only need a heat lamp. UV lights aren't important.

  • heat lamp and heat pad will be fine of just a heat lamp

  • Respond to this video... of ya this bitch is annoying

  • @xxshabamm360xx yes because thay are cold blooded so thay need to have some thing to help keep them warm

  • @xxshabamm360xx

Yes, they are cold blooded. They need heat to help them digest food and regulate their body tempurature. This is called the basking area, where the light is. If they get cold, they bask

  • @xxshabamm360xx they need heat but not the UV lighting. The UV lighting is used to provide calcium for those reptiles that dont have it in their diet. Snakes receive their calcium through the bones of the rodents. However some people have said that exposing your snake to the UV light does benefit them a little. Hope this helped!!

  • @xxshabamm360xx I think they do, depending on where you live, in the UK, I think you need to have a pretty weak, but not cheap uv lamp strip :)

  • @xxshabamm360xx not all snakes ball pythons dont, milk snakes, and sand boas dont ethier

  • Dont usually say this but british people look like RETARDS in this video, they say bulshit and more bullshit, this viedo makes you dont want to buy a corns snake cause it looks like its frikn difficult and confuses someone who has got one.

  • i want a corn snake :)

  • this is bullshit, you don't need to go to the extreme to keep corn snakes as these people are saying

  • let it see your empty hands so it knows you don't have food? their eye sight is fucking awful, they're practically blind. this is absurd.

  • @DrazharX you know, I was thinking the exact same thing. This video isn't all that rreliable.

  • thats alot of care just for a fucking snake

  • don't use sand. that was really stupid.

  • i think i saw him in cwmbran. well im sure i did

  • Corns dont need UV! They get most vitamins from the bones of the mice, Feeding in a tank can make then aggressive as they will think food is being presented to them. I work in a reptile shop and i have found the best way to rid a reptile of mites is to rub cooking oil into the hands and gently run your hands down the snake, this suffocates the mites, then put the snake in the bath to get rid of the dead mites

  • hahahahahahhahahahahah they know jack shit about corns

  • wtf how would it make them aggressive . if u ffed it in a diffrent tub when u go to handle it , it would think its getting feed .

    dick head

  • can you feed it with regular mice that you find in mice-traps... cuz i find atleast 2 mice in my traps a week

  • 1:29 "Stupid tree!"

  • you cant bath a snake? ive got two that love to go in the bath... and if they get a mite on them its the best way to get rid of the mite.

  • @witchloki1980 She didnt say u cant bath them she said you dont need too.. Bath your snake all you like.

  • you cant bath a snake? ive got two that love to go in the bath... and if they get a mite on them its the best way to get rid of the mite. you people are making it look more complicated than it actually is to keep a cornsnake. If people want info on corns they should ask someone who actually keeps them.

  • I love corn snakes

  • that is all wrong

  • iv wached this video not happy why are u useing uv lighting they dont like it

  • 2:57

An old clip from a different video. T

  • Flippin heck did you see him yank the snake from the tank must of hurt it and surprised it didnt bite!

  • I thought they were called corn snakes because you were supposed to shove them up your corn sprayer. No wonder so many have died inside my shithole.

  • @RandomSpewBros Next time you should probably shove a couple mice for nourishment, and a flashlight for heat source up your bong-hole.I bet they'll be just fine.
