DrJohn Harris - Regardless of the fact that people are born with differences of abilities and physique, they are unequivocally people created in the image-likeness of God and are children of God.
Just because a person is Intersex or born with mosaic genetics is not reason to treat them any differently or cause them to quit something they love!
It actually calls into question some of the people who feel that they are the other sex. Not that they are gay or born a hermaphrodite, but perhaps their parents allowed them to have this type of surgery as an infant, and now, the consequences are catching up. The article I read, stated a lot of children had this surgery, and it is unknown how many, and who. So I guess if you can make a baby, it wasn't you.
I just was doing a little more research on the boy who's surgery was botched. Come to find out. They experimented on him. He was the first sexual reassignment surgery. They counted it a success, and many children after him were given the same surgery, based on the "success" of his surgery. However it wasn't a success, he never acted like a girl. He was always a boy with long hair and no genitals. Sad very sad.
If she cannot compete as a woman, she definitely wouldn't be able to compete as a man. Unless they are going to start a division solely for people who are intersexual.
Hey Denise! Is it true that when Dawson popped out of the womb the doc said, "Hey this kiddie could go either way! Better name it Robin or Bobby or some other metrosexual thingo. That's just what I heard....
I feel sorry for that track runner. She was humiliated publicly and that's unfortunate. But if a child is born with two sex organs, it is the parents' job and obligation to make the choice for his/her child and select the sex of the child, because the future will be much harder when that person grows into adult age. Now should she compete w/ women or men is a VERY HARD question because it'll present problems on every angle.
If they allow this person to compete with her EXCESSIVE testosterone levels, then the other women should be allowed to take some kind of enhancement to level the playing field. Fair is fair!
You guys are really nice. :D
