Thanks so much for this! This is just what I needed. Is there a possibility you could post download links for the whole album? I need a good remastered version for my car. Thanks :)
@mysoultheunderground Hell no! I would never mess with Tool, what you hear is pretty much exactly what Tool want you to hear... The only ones I'd consider mucking with, cautiously would be "Undertow" and "Opiate"... :)
@mysoultheunderground Ahh now I understand what you mean! Yep, once an album is clipped there's little to virtually nothing you can do to fix them, which is a damned shame. I rarely listen to "10000 Days" so I hadn't realised it was clipped to hell... On the other hand, you've got me listening to "Undertow" again, which is a good thing lol
@violetgypsie Thank you so much for all the positive comments violetgypsie... every time I see a comment on these tracks I just go back and relisten to that album! Love it :)
@zararity Well! This is a special mastering then! Actually it is an over-remastering but the result is quite impressive! I always hated how Digital mastering ruined rock and alternative music. Rock and its children need analog processing! and we feel you added some of that analog touch! Some listeners may even perceive this album otherwise thanks to your remastering! I guess I might ask for your service if that's the case! And if you can of course for the sake of music :)
@hanynowsky Thank you for your very, very kind words!
Plainly and simply, I work on recordings that I think need a 'little help' in the sound department, to open them up to an audience that might bypass them because they're too quiet/too loud/too hissy/too muffled/strange mixing choices...
I truly wish though there was one 'secret mastering technique'... just a lot of listening and a lot of experimenting, eventually it might all come together :)

I like when she tweeks a classic but it makes me miss the aggresive vocals of 90's pj

@zararity I can respect that. :) However, the clipping on 10,000 days is woeful but I guess that can't be fixed now.

@hanynowsky By the way, send me a message on here about your own tracks. I'd love to take a listen, without promising anything...
zararity 8 months ago
@zararity Oh great :) I'll put the files on some folder in a server before the weekend, and give you the link by Private message :)

@hanynowsky No bother at all. One requirement, please make sure they are lossless e.g. WAV, FLAC, ALAC, etc...
zararity 8 months ago
@zararity I'd really like to see what it would give if you apply your private secret mastering technique in one of our songs!!! Is that possible?

Am I the only one who thinks she looks like Anne Frank? Regardless, love her.
