@Jitterskull great question. In my opinion, it's a very stupid word, because it has two unnecessary prefixes. Basically, there's the idea of establishmentarianism (I'll get to it) and people who were against it wanted disestablismentarianism. the people who were against them decided to coin the word antidisestablishmentarianism. in short, double negatives mean it's basically the same as establismentarianism, which is the idea that the state should officially endorse a religion.
