  • The song is fairly good, but the music video itself makes it awesome.

  • Shame he couldn't fit pneumonoultramicroscopicsilicovolcanoconiosis in there anywhere.

  • Remembered how much a love this song after watching the vlogbrothers' newest video about word association :D

  • Antidisestablishmentarianism :D

  • What if all of the lyrics are associated, due to them being lyrics to this song? ...Whoa.

  • "raisin terrible abundant" is my favorite. I don't know why.

  • It's been so long since I watched this and I still remember the lyrics

  • No NielcicieregaVEVO

Some faith in humanity has been restored.

  • The first ever video I had ever favourited on YouTube. And until today remains my number one favourite video of all times, cause no other could top it.

  • it says why twice... just sayin XD but seriously, this is amazing

  • @Jitterskull great question. In my opinion, it's a very stupid word, because it has two unnecessary prefixes. Basically, there's the idea of establishmentarianism (I'll get to it) and people who were against it wanted disestablismentarianism. the people who were against them decided to coin the word antidisestablishmentarianism. in short, double negatives mean it's basically the same as establismentarianism, which is the idea that the state should officially endorse a religion.

  • what this word at 02:59 mean?

  • @Jitterskull Being against being against the state officially endorsing a religion.

And no, there are no typos or accidental repetitions in the above statements.

  • What is it?

  • lol abundant was said twice

  • @Kewldoood27 There is an overabundance of abundant. Okay...I know it didn't need to be said but...=P

  • 0:58 Neil was a Brony before it was cool.

    ...

    It IS cool, right?

  • if DADA was a music genre this would be it.

  • this has got to be the most clever music video i have ever seen.....

  • Ponies at 0:58 :P

  • Please put this on iTunes, Neil! It's actually a really brilliant and catchy song!

  • HUMAN WINE IS PEOPLE

  • Okay, seriously does this song change every time I listen to it or is there something about the disassociation of the words preventing it from entering my long term memory? I swear every time I keep hearing things going "that wasn't there last time."

    Am I the only one?

  • @cymonsgames I know it's the same every time I watch it...

  • @cymonsgames Well considering the fact that it's impossible for this video to change every time.

  • 3 years ago i took it upon myself to memorize the lyrics to this song. everyone made fun of me. just the other day i knew the word "polyurethane" in my science class because of this song and no one else knew it and i felt really smart. thanks neil :)

  • backwards. i see what you did there....

  • The people that disliked this are just jealous they didn't think of it first.

  • @rainbowmuppet I wish I'd thought of this first, but I'm not jealous, nor do I dislike this.

  • Okay, in all seriousness, this is the best thing in the universe. LIke, for real. I mean it. I really do.

  • Whose ponies are those at 0:58?

  • My sister showed me this video and now I understand why we have a bag of trail mix in the pantry with -:3 drawn on it in sharpie.

  • that is one damn cool shoe 1:06

  • Guys, seriously, everybody keeps on whining 'abundant is used in twice!!!' but who actually noticed that WHY is used in twice? Why not whine about that then, eh? Next time, before you whine, listen to the WHOLE song.

  • @Mattihew1 has it occurred to anyone that 'abundant' is used twice BECAUSE it makes the word itself abundant? people are kinda stupid -__-

  • @TheOnlyAndOneEve I did realise that, but if you start like that, 'why' is why used in twice? Huh? You can easily get a logic in that too. 'why' did he make the word abundant abundant? 'why' did he do it again in why? It has a logic a little bit less clear than abundant, but it IS still clear...

  • They Got Lost by They Might Be Giants has almost the same piano tune.

  • Never undressing sneer!

  • neil, you are a genious.

  • The new longest word in english is now Pneumonoultramicroscopicsilicovolcanoconiosis and before that it was floccinaucinihilipilification (floci-noci-nahilla-pilla- fication) and wales (with our amazing sheep) still has

    Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch.

Impossable to say if you dont know welsh well :P Good song though ^^

  • @6261Caf6261 My mum has a photo of me standing in from of that sign but she had to move so far back to fit the sign in that you could barely see my face!

  • how do you get antidisestablishmentarianism into a song with BLUE in it and make it sound good??

    MAGIC!!

  • You give home-schooled kids a good name. :D

    You are home-schooled right?

Well even if you aren't, props for being awesome!

  • You know, I've been wondering...What if you put this song on repeat while you were sleeping?

    Awesome song. :)

  • Ahh...Vocabulary

  • Spidery concubine... eghhhh

  • This song should be in the background of one of those search overload commercials. It would be PERFECT!!!

  • @deathtrap2u Not ot ruin your fun and all, but he is the second, out of three people to do this. The first was Duke Ellington, "You're Just an Old Antidisestablishmentarianismist". Third was just Eminem.

  • Um, at 2:35 isn't it spelt serenade? Instead of serenede?

  • the best part was with the kitty :3

  • this will come as a shock:

I had a dream that Neil came to my house (i dont know why) and saw my sister. then they disappeared but somehow I knew where to go. I found them in MY bed just lying there looking at me and Neil's arm was around her. but she has a boyfriend so i told him (in the dream still) and he didnt believe it. O.o

Ps. My brother just walked by me and called me a fart jiggler?

  • @EnjoiPanda66

I had a dream about Neil too, but it was just some guy asking me if I liked Neil Cicierega and me saying that I did.

  • 106 people went on a holiday filled with smoke but only packed a platypus parasol, recieved jellyfish fingernails after eating enemy lasagne, turned into human wine after taking an uprise flight and landed in a guillotine, and therefore got broke and entangled, and their brain was turned into porridge... and because of all of this they felt so awkwardly hurt and pale with remorse so they decided to distract themselves by becoming murderous.

  • @ThroughRock I usually hate these "X people did Y" comments but i have to say that was awesome

  • @ThroughRock nicely done

  • @ThroughRock Don't 4get that they met an agnostic oppressive wall lol

  • this video made me fall in love with my boyfriend so many years ago.

  • Umm... I just realized that I've watched this so many times that I've memorized it by accident.

I'm not sure yet how I feel about this...

  • When I grow up I am going to be a Guillotine Apprehensive Engineer.

  • I like how he always managed to fit adjectives, nouns and verbs where they should be, so it makes at least a base amount of grammatical sense. Even if it is just a bunch of words with no message being conveyed.

  • LOL Love it

    ;__;

  • @CaptainPengu Nah, we spell it wrong, Neil spells it right. Schools are teaching us wrong.

  • this song describes my life

  • why have antidisestablishmentarianism, the 4th longest word in english, and not Pneumonoultramicroscopicsilicovolcanoconiosis, the longest (in a dictionary, the longest technically being Methionylthreonylthreonylglutaminylarginyl...isoleucine

  • @Whammy621 Try fitting Methionylthreonylthreonylglutaminylarginyl...isoleucine or Pneumonoultramicroscopicsilicovolcanoconiosis with the tune... Antidisestablishmentarianism works just fine.

  • @RandomIntermission SHEESH! It was just a joke!
