  • I've just been thrown out of a church for posting a verse from The Bible. That is so satisfying. I'm having a very enlightened day! I’m inviting everyone to join me and stand firm against the tyranny of a very sick and twisted church, the United Church of Christ in Alden, Iowa. Mattthew 34: 45 “He will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for me.’ 46 “Then they will go away to eternal punishment, but the righteous to eternal life.”

  • @HapBrindle Let the dead bury the dead. Give it up. You're only hurting yourself by holding a grudge.

  • This is a very "weary" video. =p

  • Yeah... I think we should stick with Christian music. I love worldy music, i do. But... I know it will only stimulate my mind with dumb stuff, so why risk it.

  • Sheep!

  • This video went viral on Castries

  • This is garbage

  • I think it's more about the "Christian" is a religious person (hypocrite) and a Christ Follower is someone that has a true and honest relationship with his Creator and is honest about his spiritual maturity, not pretending to be someone he is not.

  • @aaakgr finally someone says this in a way I understand. THANK YOU!

  • PASTOR CRAIG LEWIS- THE TRUTH BEHIND HIP HOP...& OTHER GENRES. WHO WAS THE ANGEL OF MUSIC, WHY WOULDN'T HE USE HIS TALENT? GOD NEVER TAKES AWAY A SKILL OR A TALENT.

  • this is kind of ridiculous. Christ follower vs. Christian? someone's trying too hard. In pointing out how "uncool" some Christians are, it's coming off as pretty lame. U2 as the alternative to Christian music? they're like one step away from jars of clay! haha wow... I am a conservative, reformed Christian, & I love reading the Bible, & Jonathan Edwards, & I love listening to indie rock. I'm not trying to be cool, because Jesus wasn't cool by the world's standards. Jesus wants all out devotion!

  • NO GODS EXIST

    DEAL WITH IT

  • @beesleeper GOD EXISTS

    DEAL WITH IT

  • @CarlosMarti123

    nope

Go hide your pathetic fucking church , pendejo.

  • @beesleeper Only retards use such stupid language :)

  • @CarlosMarti123

Only fucking cowards kneel in churches to invisible sky-daddies.

  • @beesleeper Cowards? What does cowardice have anything to do with it? Just throwing out random insults and personal attacks? Couldn't find another word in your dictionary?

PS: No one kneels in churches to invisible sky-daddies, though perhaps you do, seeing the level of stupidity you have managed to express in your last few comments :)

  • This is fucking stupid...

  • christian misic sucks. Get it? Fairy tale crap.

  • @TheKenny4292

I agree. Guard your soul. We need a third category. In some of these I'm a Christian, and a Christ follower in others. lol.

  • I don't understand this. I have 2000 songs on my ipod that are all christian. What's wrong with that? I like music that talks about my savior rather then listening to music that always talks about girls, drugs, and sex.

  • @facefullofme theres NOTHING wrong with it at all, as long as you dont think you`re better then people with only a few christian songs. Which im sure you dont.

  • @facefullofme ditto, cept mine is 4,500. the problem with the "christian" portrayal is that he judges the "christ follower". we all have different taste is music, and judging each other because of those tatses is just wrong.

in this series, the "christian" is always considered the bad guy because he's fundamentalist, which there is nothing wrong with.

  • @facefullofme So the only 4 things music can be about is God, girls, drugs, or sex? Okay... Nothing wrong with Christian music, but what's wrong with other music?

  • @poempoorlywritten3 Nothing is wrong with other music nor did I say that is all music can be about. I'm simply saying that I like music that is Godly. A lot of music today is about relationships. And while that's perfectly fine,I myself find it tiring and repetitive. Also, a majority (not all) of hiphop today is about drugs and sex. And while that's fine if others want to listen to it, I myself don't listen to that stuff because then it start's to create a mindset that those things are okay. IMO.

  • @facefullofme Ahh. Okay, I understand :)

  • @facefullofme Yeah, not all music that's not Christian talks about girls, drugs, and sex -.- I don't know what music YOU'RE listening to, but I know plenty of good music that's not obscene OR Christian

  • @panty3pirate Yeah I know not all music talks about girls, drugs, and sex. But what does the majority of pop and rock talk about? Girls/boys. What does the majority of hip hop talk about? Drugs and sex. Im not saying ALL hip hop talks about that or that all pop/rock talks about that. But a lot of it does. And I don't listen to only christian music. I listen to other things as well.

  • @facefullofme I'm sorry, but a majority of ALL music talks about that stuff. Doesn't mean it's not good music. Try listening to Tears for Fears, The Doors, The Rolling Stones. Yes, some of it is about drugs or at least inspired by drugs, but it's really good music and not super obscene. You're either some super prude or you're trying to seem like you're better than the rest of us because you don't listen to that music.

  • @panty3pirate I am not prude nor do I think that I am better than you. Like you said, a majority of all music talks about that stuff. Hey, I listen to rolling stones and tears for fears too. Im just saying that hearing bands talk about about the same thing over and over again gets kind of old to me. Take Taylor Swift for example. She is a phenomenal artist. And alll of her songs are about boys. And thats OKAY. But sometimes, it just gets really old for me. Didn't mean to sound snarky or prude.

  • @facefullofme Well, with that, shouldn't it get old to hear so many songs about Jesus all the time?

  • @panty3pirate ……touche

  • Christian music is the best type of music though (:

  • this differences aren't necessarily right or wrong its just personal preference

  • Hi. im a christ follower. i listen to metal, hardcore, screamo, & rock artists. :D

  • Christian.. Christ follower.. Either way they're both stupid :/

  • i love this!

  • I look at the person delivering the music and the song itself...if the song isnt glorifying...then why listen to it...i dnt really get this

  • Instead of goin through the motions...

  • That's stupid! Yes, you don't have to listen to christian music to be christian but it is not a very good help to the spirit to go listening to music about banging girls like there objects, doing drugs and partying. 2 Timothy 2:22 "Flee the evil desires of youth, and pursue righteousness, faith, love and peace, along with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart." In other words there is temptation but don't fall into something that is going to hurt your spirit.

  • It's encouraging to see someone realizing that Christians shouldn't box themselves into music. We've essentially copied all the musical styles and put them to "Christian" music. Rather, we should just play and sing music from the heart, and if Christ is in us, He will flow out of our lyrics. No need for "Christian" labels.

  • @freelodinbeaner I c suits! Where suits now?

  • That "Christian" is a stinkin' compromiser! Christian rap?

  • 1.)Yes, because only christian nations use/own bombs. China is like peace central.

2.)"I don't need a sky daddy" I think you have God confused with Zeus sweety.

3.)"Why do you say EVERY deity is false but yours?" For the exact same reason you say panspermia, intelligent design, reincarnation, creationism, etc.. and EVERY other system besides Evolution is false.

4.)"Stop forcing your beliefs!"but you coming on this video and forcing yours isn't.

YOU FAIL, insert 2 quarters and try again Atheist.

  • @willdude85

    all nations have bombs, dummy.

Zeus was a god too, why is yours better.

All the evidence proves evolution happened.

Not everyone who does not believe in your 'sky daddy' is an atheist.

  • oh my gosh. They're just joking around!! Everyone calm down. Have a sense of humor.

  • don't agree...think that listening to music that glorifies materialism, or sex or drugs is not good for your soul. We must take every thought under control. Once the song is in your head...where do you think it will lead?

  • @DarthSephiroth144 As long as you don't go around trying to push your dogma into the laws that my government legislates, or keeping services from me based on lack of belief, or bring hatred or bigotry on others who don't follow your particular dogma, or cause war or grief on others, and if you don't prejudice me because of my nonmembership, and not lie to children or brainwash them into following the lies, I'm all good with that. Peace to you and yours.

  • @DarthSephiroth144

It's not arrogance. Simply pointing out when someone is stubborn in accepting contradictory facts to their delusion, is helping them escape. That is my only goal in talking to you and others who may be reading these posts. After 45 yrs of blissful peace in my head, I wish that same thing for my fellow H.sapiens. Big problem is when those folks wish to be willfully ignorant.. That is your category of theist.

  • @DarthSephiroth144 Guilty as charged. As a scientist, I belong to the massive club of nonbelievers of gods. My interpretation of the truth is the same as the other millions like me who work within the system we call 'Science'. Back in 1997, Newsweek did a little survey of 480,000 scientists in the USA and found only 750 claimed a personal god in their lives( .14%) Wonder why? I guess we can't interpret truth as well as you.

  • These videos are kind of missing an opportunity here....too bad.

    Anyway...

I would strongly recommend to anyone interested to read: "The End of Religion" by Bruxy Cavey. You won't regret the time you spent reading it.

  • @DarthSephiroth144

I love reality. It's that simple for me. Even at the young age of 6yrs old, looking around me and seeing other religions who thought they had the correct god or dogma, damning others as false, I knew it was all a fairytale. By the age of 10, I figured out that adults lie to children about so many things, even the Abrahamic god who belongs to the thousands of manmade gods throughout history. When I learned the truth about things, it was easy.

  • @DarthSephiroth144

Old, tired argument that gets much play over the yrs, "prove there ISN'T an invisible deity". You are making the claim of a deity in the cosmos, not me. The evidence is asked of you for your ridiculous claim.

As to categories of atheists, we have one thing in common, we do not claim anything, we ask for the evidence and there seems to be none, so we take the default position.

Do you believe in other gods? If so, why not?

  • @DarthSephiroth144

I have a favourite quote for folks who, after evaluating and decision making, pick sky daddy worship. Here it is.

"The true hypocrite is the one who ceases to perceive his deception, the one who lies with sincerity."- Andre Gide

With all the knowledge we now possess regarding our world, you have decided to go with something which has no evidence. That is ignorant in my book.

  • @DarthSephiroth144

Two categories of theists in my opinion. Either it's willful ignorance or idiocy from no fault of their own(brain compartmentalization). The latter comes from the severe brainwashing received by other idiots or willful ignorant.

The prognosis for escape from this condition is largely related to the level of conviction in the delusion and the openness one has in allowing info that contradicts the delusion. Where do you fit in?

  • Right, so...updight delusional christian bad, casual delusional christian, good. Think I got it.

  • this is so true we do all these things to become a christian but what about Just spending time with the one who create us :)

  • @wayzey I am a Christian and I'm currently working on reading the entire Bible. Something I've never done, and something I imagine a lot of Christians haven't done.

I'm trying to read it from an unbiased standpoint as much as possible. And while we can debate all day the existence of mircales and God and Jesus, the lessons and wisdom contained within are designed to help us to live a more fulfilling life - regardless of whether or not we accept the supernatural stuff.

  • I am a Christian and a Christ follower and I quite frankly don't get it?? I attend a very traditional fundamental bible believing church where you will find people that where suits and where jeans and t shirts. We love each other because we are brothers and sisters in Christ...nothing wrong with having sermons and christian songs on my I Pod, Eph 5:19 speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody with your heart to the Lord!

  • @missingjim

that is very well put, could not put it better myself!!!! that is what i have been trying to say, GOD bless

  • I don't think they are saying that wearing a suit is bad, they are just making the comparison that SOME people think that in order to correctly worship you need to be decked out in your, as they said, "Sunday best." When, of course, we are called to come to Christ "as you are." If you like to wear a suit and tie or a dress, that's fine... but if you want to wear a hoodie and jeans, that's fine too. As long as we're all there for the same reason.

  • @missingjim. So much wrong with all of that.

  • @missingjim Where suits? Where suits? I cannot see a da suits?!?!

  • @missingjim what theyre trying to say is ppl try to be holy-er than thou. they act as if they only listen to christian music and they are just such a great person. instead of just being natrual since we all listen to music that isnt nessesarily christian. it may not be filled with cursing. rather it be a love song or even an inspirational. the point is people try to seem more imortant than they are.

  • @missingjim That's not the point of the video. The point of the video is that Christian judges Christ follower from doing things differently than him. If you prefer to listen to old hymns, there's nothing wrong with that. But if you judge others for listening to a more contemporary sounding worship style, you are being self- righteous. That's a problem.

  • @missingjim there is nothing wrong to live like the Christian or the Christ follower, it's just saying u don't need to be super uptight to worship

  • @missingjim genius... honestly

  • @missingjim There are actually people like the Christian, who just do it because everyone else is. It's more for the group thing than anything else. There are churches that 90% of people there are there for someone to talk to, and sometimes the pastor/ministor/whatever you call it will be in that 90%

  • You guys are great! Thanks!

  • ok i take offense

i only listen/watch/read (except at school where i have to read some other things) Christian stuff, not because i think it is a sin to listen to other stuff but becuase there is no point in wasting our time on wordly things, in fact was it not in the bible that we should not get held up on the things of this earth becuase none of beyonce's music is going to be in heaven..nor u2, so i only listen to things that praise God

  • @courtneywhitlock

    Much love!

To add an eternal perspective to that:

Music is a heavenly thing. It existed in heaven long before any human being decided to fashion an instrument out of earthly materials.

Music was created for the praise of the King. Anything else is meaningless--a heavenly gift used to exalt earthly things--a contradiction, an oxymoron.

  • These videos are teaching us to mock real people...

Some of these souls are dying and going to hell, because they still trust in religious tradition instead of Christ alone.

And has your love for them grown or diminished since being encouraged to laugh at them?

Those of us who have truly come to know Christ personally should be praying for them and not making fun of them. They're people, and many of them are perishing for lack of knowledge... like we were.

Bless the Lord, O my soul.

  • @ProstrateBeforeHim

nothings wrong with (church) tradition. Remember its been God through the holy spirit who has kept the church alive. Jesus should be at the forefront of your life now just as it has been in the lives of church goers for the last 2000 years.

And to say tradition constitutes a lack of knowledge or "enlightenment", is just asinine.

  • @ProstrateBeforeHim You know Jesus personally? What's he like, I've been dying to meet him (no pun intended).

  • Your welcome!

  • Christian does not equal "flat earth theory." Obviously you haven't evolved enough to understand the distinction. I'm a Christian and a Christ follower. And you are a fossil of discernment.

  • these videos are cool i started seeing them on tv one life

  • huh i gots a reeeeeeeeeeealy small vocab. youv really got to stop using words i dont get im like 14 i love my church and my preacher and we do not do what this video is saying we do that man is not a christian it doesnt matter what he calls himself the christ follower is but christians are not flonting off all our money like that and hes not a christian the other guy is and god did not say be a christ follower but call yourself whatever you want if you really are a christian

  • you use to many big words i got a really small vocab. sooooooooo yea idont get it im a baptist i believe in the crist follower person does but what they make cristians sound like is poo it doesnt matter what you call yourself its what you believe in that counts

  • hello can sb help me with the translation into spanish of this video?

  • This reminded me of a christian music station my mom listens to.

I really like these christ-ian Mac vs PC parodies. And I happen to be agnostic. :P

  • what does agnostic mean?

  • agnostic means someone who believes in a higher power but does not follow any one religion.

  • Actually there are two kinds of agnostics. The kind you are talking about are agnostic theists. The other kind are agnostic atheists who don't know whether or not a god exists but choose to think that one doesn't.

  • how bout we just make it real simple. Religious people Follow a Faith. Spiritual People are Agnostic. and Atheists are Neither. But I dont really care much about labeling others. Labels just things complicated and cause prejudice.

  • Why aren't there any songs praising Thor? Those Scandinavians need to get with the program and pump out some Thor worship music. I would download some of that, if it were available. Maybe even Zeus tunes as well. So many gods out there need to publish some of their tunes for the 'wrong' folks. lol

  • @saxmanchiro - HAHAHAHA! I'm glad someone has a sense of humor here. I'm a Christian by the way.

  • bengotagun

Gotta have a strong sense of humour to handle so many religious folks around. Now in my 45th yr as an atheist and getting very tired of waiting for folks to join the 21st century. Been very quiet until 9/11 and cannot stop wanting to help folks leave the delusion of sky daddy worship. We need to progress past the ancient fairytales and become educated members of society, especially since it's so easily accomplished these days with digital communication, like YT.

  • I always thought of U2 as a Christian band. What else is he listening to, Creed? Ick.

  • Hail the gods of thuul

The black sun is a domain for the pure

Christians and jews will be drowning in shit, cut open and fed to their own family before the orders get what they want.

If someone slaps you on the cheek, show him your other cheek

... and i'll eventually stab you in the jaw you scum

  • I agree with the point of this video, but I think it can be misleading to new/young believers. I haven't looked, but I hope they have or will do one comparing the "lukewarm" christian to the Follower of Jesus.

  • I don't get it...

I am a christian. Christ-follower and christian are just the same XD(onley an other word) . If you belief in God en Jesus, and you follow him then you would know that you don't have to make someone belief look like crazy. It's like you are laughing whit yourself. And I didn't feel comforteble watching this video. because if people see that they would mis understand me.

(and reeding in de bible is very important otherwise you can't poseply follow him)

    God's bless

  • What the video is trying to portray is the fact that people who call themselves "Christians" yet only put on a show, probably don't really get what Jesus was talking about at all, He wants us to get a real relationship with him, not something superficial where we recite the same prayer every night, only truly acknowledge him on Sundays, and basically throw Jesus out the window when we go back to our real life, what people really see after we set aside all the religion hocus pocus

  • Yep, I agree. True freedom, not rules, not religion. Well said.

  • There making fun of people who take church too seriously and act like there ''holier than though''.

  • I love these, simply because they glorify following Christ, not some stuffy, organized religion.

  • been watching these videos and I am not sure what you agenda is. I guess being a christ follower, but then you are mocking traditional christians.

Maybe your time would be better spend making videos of the new age practices that have gotten in the church and repackaged with christian names, and are practiced by all the people claiming that "relationship" is more important that God's word.

  • They aren't so much mocking traditional christians as bringing to light the fact that some who call themselves "Christian" aren't actually following Christ, they're just going through the motions of Christianity without ever really getting involved.

  • i really don't get what the point of these are.

there is no difference between "Christian" and "Christ Follower". they're the same exact thing.

ever notice how "Christian" is just "Christ" with "ian" thrown on it? i'm pretty sure that implies following Christ

some people have this mindset that the term "Christian" has been tainted by the enemy's connotations. but instead of making some new term for Christians, why not return the meaning to the original term and actually live our lives in Jesus?

  • You're comparing apples and oranges in this video, there is an in between.

And you are giving a bad view to others who may be lost that is it ok to make Christ "just part of your life"

WHEN CHRIST IS YOUR LIFE as a believer, not just something you do on weekends.

What is wrong with listening to worship music???

  • Where does it ever say something is wrong with listening to Christian music? This video is only trying to point out that some people claim to be christians and act "Holier than Thou" but there is little evidence that Jesus is actually in their lives. And your previous comment about being ashamed of Jesus is silly. If you claim to be a Christ follower then you are acknowledging Jesus.

  • So what? is it shameful to be a CHRISTIAN now or something???

Christ Follower sounds like it will shortly be crumbled off as politically incorrect at the rate you're going.

Satan doesn't like the term Christian either...neither does the unsaved world, they have hates in their heart for Christ.

DO NOT BE ASHAMED OF JESUS OR HE WILL BE ASHAMED OF YOU.

  • If all religious people approached their faith in this way, the world would be a better place.

  • Amen Brother

  • ummm....that was extremely stupid

  • u2 sucks anyway

  • Jesus is made up, figure it out.

  • U wanna bet look up VenomFangX on youtube

  • The christ follower is someone I can respect, the christian however is another story all together.

  • so let's get this straight so we're all clear on this matter. It's now "wrong" to be a christian? love not the world, nor the things of the world. by the way, U2 ..eh, I won't even get into it. Christ followers believe that you cna live anyway you want, nor is it necessary to be born again. Yeah, Christ followers can even be sinners. Imagine that. I wonder, can christ followers go into a strip club?

  • if you ask yoursef dor taht question WWJD?, he did walked with hookers so, not INTO the strip club but maybe they could be near it, and hey its not wrong being a christian but the term "christian" has been related to things human made it related to so, if you don want to be seen as that, you have to change your Terms, is basic marketing :)

  • Of course it's wrong to be a Christian! Haven't you been paying attention to these videos? They explain everything... No, wait. They don't. They just poke fun at people who choose to call themselves Christian...

  • Nice safe, bland pick with U2. I wonder what happens when "Follower of Christ" decides he likes Marlyn Manson.

  • i beleive there are 2 types of Christian folk

church folk....who just go to church, put on there big hats easter outifts (nothing wrong with that) and stuck in tradition (like sitting in the same seat every service and etc.)

Then you got ur KIngdom folk, who generally care about others, arent fake like most church folk tend to be, and who arent stuck in traditionalism

  • OK I guess I misunderstood you and I apologise, however I still respectfully disagree.

  • What? Religion has nothing to do with Jobs. My brother is a Christian and he is the head of an entire programing division. He makes just over 185,000 a year I'm also a Christian and I'm in college majoring in computer science. Also there are Christian scientist. You're just stuck on stereotypes. What you are saying is pure garbage a religion has nothing to do with work or money or education for that matter.

  • ok stop I'm not watching the rest of this video.

  • I'm a Christian.

I believe in Love. I believe in Forgiveness. I believe in Purity. I believe in Protection.

I believe in God, my Maker.

I believe in Christ, my Saviour.

I believe in the Holy Spirit.

I believe in the Holy Trinity.

And... When I see stuff like that... I am sad for the people who don't respect the Truth.

I'm sad because they don't know what it's like to feel Joy and Peace, inside.

They don't know what it's like to be loved forever.

    Pray for Salvation. Amen.

  • lol u so funny. it's ok to believe, but you don't have to be an internet preacher and annoy the internet.

  • wow the why you say this wow

    Amen

i see so a lot of people that say there Christian but i don't see the love that God gives to us

  • it is sad, yes. that is why we must reflect the light!!!!!!!!!!!

  • LOL PRAISE THE LORDA

  • alright back to topic i feel that music that does not edify you is music one should not waste their time listening to.

  • Jesus = Santa Claus for grown-ups

  • I truly am not lying. I'd give you the name of the company, but I'd rather keep that confidential...also you said "...is because the majority of christians do have shitty jobs..." Now, again that isn't 100% true. I have a really hard time believing that you don't hate christians or hold a stereotypical vision of them. There are and were certainly christians with higher paying jobs, and purpose in society...you need to stop filling people's heads with facts that can't be proven.

  • I realize you don't see christians as being bad people, but you WERE only portraying one side of the spectrum of christianity, which is highly misleading.

  • Haha, "$30,000 a year", "scamming business"...you crack me up. Listen buddy, I own and operate a land surveying business and I make roughly $200,000 a year...so don't even try.

  • Firstly, you misread my last statement. I said people would fall prey to your propaganda and lies. I didn't say you have fallen to it. I don't think that your views on atheism are wrong or are propaganda, they are legitimate and genuine. However, I think the way you have portrayed christians was biased and certainly propaganda, which is unfair to faithful christians.

  • No No, I mistyped. I mentioned that YOU said hypocrite twice on the same video page...towards "extremist" christians... Also I really don't give a damn if learned is really spelled learnt, let's just drop that pathetic arguement already. So don't worry, I'm not calling you a hypocrite...yet... :)

  • "I said it because that's How I see most extremist christians,"

The answer is simple, my friend. You have a skewed perspective of the world. By "extremists" you must mean "christian fundamentalists". The problem with the anti-christian machine is that they try to portray christians as being extremists who are racist/sexist/ ignorant etc., just so they can add to their atheist roster. It's sad. People need to see all sides of christianity, instead of fall prey to biased propagandists like you.

  • If you look back on my previous comment based on YOU solving problems with intelligence and reasoning...I simply made a joke about it...let's stop with this offshoot topic of "proper english" I'm fully aware of different versions of english such as realise/realize or humor/humour etc. etc. I just wasn't aware of "learnt" (if that's such a crime.)...and I get it you mistyped that's all...let's drop this petty arguement on words and grammar okay?

  • Great video's, but sadly some of it rings true

  • "...it's because most of you are arrogant, ignorant, obnoxious and stubborn..."

Obviously nobody can say that statement with 100% certainty, so why even say it if you can't prove it genious? I consider myself open-minded to science and atheism, so why would you make a stupid statement like that? And, how is "learnt" proper english? besides while saying that you also spelled American wrong...("Amereican")...and don't give me that "proper english" bullshit.

  • I'm not saying atheism is wrong, and I'm not saying my religion is right. What I'm saying is that I believe in my religion and it's my right. I have acknowledged that there MAY in fact be no god, but I regard my belief more than atheism, that's all. You have no right telling me why or how I believe in God, it isn't death or hell. You also contradicted yourself in your last comment. You said you don't fear death and yet you overcome fear of death through living life to the fullest...?

  • I mean REPEPITIVE mantra not what you said ("repitive"). What I mean is anti-christians always spew words at christians like ignorant, hypocrite, etc. It's the same old garbage I've heard for years. I know that atheists don't completely rule out an existance of a god, don't tell me what I know.

I don't need to chase god, because I've already found him. SO, you're going to try and use reasoning, but how can you when you can't even spell LEARNED right. look at your last comment it says "learnt"

  • wow, hypocrite twice on the same video...this is the repetitive mantra I've been talking about. You just proved my point, my friend. Look, you and your scientist buddies can spend your life figuring out the universes mysteries (that may never be solved) but I'm going to believe in god in the meantime. I won't hold you back, don't worry, bud.

  • How am I a hypocrite? how? I never said atheists are wrong did I? HELL NO. I NEVER said they have no facts. You can't defend yourself against a statement I didn't even make. Nobody can rule out atheism, because it is a likely possibitility there is no god. Besides Atheism isn't a religion, at least by my understanding. By the way, using "your entire post is an excuse" as a comeback from my "excuse" reply is pathetic...P.S. "hypocrite" falls under that repetitive mantra I explained as well...

  • Trust me, christians don't "waste" 5 hours a week, it's filled with learning the word of god. and honestly, do you need to have proof or evidence for everything? You don't always have to see to believe. YOU are the one who has all the same excuses, which are that we are ignorant, or there is no evidence for justifying christian belief...blah blah...it's the same repetitive mantra over and over again. Just stop spreading religous intolerance.

  • Agreed.

  • that's what I meant by the message. It's not the music that matters, it's the message. As long as the message is clean and glorifying God, then God loves everything from gospel to death metal. I totally agree that it's the lyrics you need to watch out for. I mean, metal is my favorite kind of music, but most secular metal has the darkest and most depressing message you'll ever hear. It's really a shame

  • by the way, my favourite genres of music are metal and hardcore. Zao, As I Lay Dying, Becoming the Archetype, Means, Blind Witness, August Burns Red. Jesus loves that stuff too

  • God loves all music. There's no kind of music that we as Christians can't listen to. It's the message that's portrayed that's the deal. And wayzey, if I choose to follow my God and His word to the letter by loving others, forgiving and being forgiven, never being alone, and all around trying to improve my life and the lives of those around me, that's my choice right? Because THAT is what the bible tells us to do. God Bless

  • I agree with you on one thing, but there are some types of music you may want to avoid. God doesn't mind different genres of music and, of course, loves all kind of music like you said, but lyrics are what he wants you to beware of (ex. Sex, money, drugs, etc. mostly in rap, but not all rap is bad)

  • Jesus Christ is coming sooon.

Christ followers is suppose to have LOVE for the Christian. Vice Versa. As Christ follower we are NOT to listen to the WORLD's music or anything of the WORLD. We are limited in so many ways, because our mind suppose on Jesus Christ. That's the sacrfice we have to make rather our pleasure in a sinful world.

  • You have got to be kidding me...you should perhaps consider moving into a monastary or something akin to it. I understand being enthusiastic, come on! Being overzealous isn't the best way to sell Christ....how many converts are you going to secure with that pitch? If it were me I would have picnics and share brotherhood...maybe talk about something other than the good book...something like what constitutes a good steak. Pass a few bottles of beer around to put people in a receptive state of mind

  • I used to think that, but then I realised the Christian's I knew lived a much more fulfilled life than I did earning a 1/4 of what I earn. You can of course call me a deluded fool, but at least I'm consistent - putting religion 'on tap' so you can turn it on when you want to and off when you can't be bothered is surely more delusional... beliefs can't work like that. It's akin to saying to your partner - I will love you when i'm in the mood... that is delusional.

  • I don't want to offend you, but myself am almost offended by your complete misunderstanding about what Christianity means genuine Christians... "just don't let your beliefs interact with reality"... this is the ENTIRE point of Christianity - its not a some weird hobby that people try when they need a 'pick me up.'

I echo the words of Teutonik, "that's a whole comment full of fail"

  • Wow, that's a whole comment full of fail.

  • It's disconcerting how many people don't get these videos or take exception to them. But, given what society is these days, I suppose I shouldn't be surprised. It's just more proof that the message is sorely needed. Good job!

  • The only problem I have with this, is that the Christian is trying to be more Christian, and the other guy ridicules him while not setting a good example to others. I mean, here is a guy clearly devoted to Jesus, trying to make him the center of his heart, and this follower guy is just being a stumbling block, if you need music and sunday's, well then go for it, if the follower can learn more about his god from U2, then fine.

  • Yeah, there is something this makes me feel a bit uneasy

  • One more thing, Coldplay rox! And they are (I beileve) a "Christian Band"

  • Besides there are a bunch of different kinds of Christians. Baptist, Bretheren, Exposigtory, etc. But we all beileve in Christ Jesus! Da!

  • I think that being a "Christ-Follower" confirms to others that you beileve that Jesus died on the cross for all of our sins so that we may not perish but have eternal life. I consider myself a "Christian", but in a essence I am also a Christ follower because I beileve the bible is true (both old and new testament) I have multiple genres of music on my own ipod... Most of my songs don't have any reference of God or Jesus, but many are good and don't refer to crude stuff such as sex. I beileve HIM

  • Wow, U2 is a Christian band! haha.

  • This video sucks! I'm a christian and a Christ follower and I don't see why you're trying to make a christian look like an old fashioned nerd. You might as well call me a nerd because I got Christ in my heart.

  • i agree with you! i am also both, but still display it openly. yet i listen to dif. styles of music.

proud to be both a Christian, AND a Christ follower <33

    peace

  • I think the video is correct actually

  • I very agree with you.

If you were really a Christ follower everything in your life would praise Jesus.

There's nothing sinful with listening to music like U2

But you know, secular bands...not good rol
