  • I made the Mistake of workingfor treasure hunters roadshow.. it is a TOTAL scam.. I couldnt do the job because I didnt feel right about lies and con games they taught demanded we do. OH and there is NO 7,000 collectors database..it just them checking out ebay.

  • Lowballing scum! I would never have anything "appraised" by THR.

  • They are being sued by PBS as we speak for using the roadshow name.please don't give your valuables to them.

  • I encourage everyone to research THR cause they are there to get your stuff. They got me once, but never again. They are cheap,az hell.!!

  • they offerred me $58 for a big heavy 14k gold ring, while the true buyer, manager was spying on me behind my back. I took the same ring to a local deal and they offerred me $350.

  • Don't blame THE BUYERS because you are stupid and thought it was the antique roadshow. Ignorance is not always bliss. Also dont bring in your shit that you think is antique they have probably seen 10 of them before that are the same as yours.

  • As for gold they usually go higher the price the higher the kt of gold. for those who dont know 10k is 41% gold 14k is 58% 18kt is 75% and 24kt is 100% gold. You also have to remember that they have to ship it and melt it and everything so they cant give you what you paid or even what it was appraised for. if you come in with 10 dwts of 14kt gold dont expect more than $180 cause all they are after is the gold.

  • What they are mainly after is gold and silver. They aren't collectors in any form. What they start out on gold is $5 for dwts because the cheaper they can get it the more the buyer makes on their bonus. As for silver most silver is sterling which isnt pure. They offer around $11 on pure silver per ounce and up to .41 per dwts on sterling. They don't pay for diamonds if they are under a 1/3 of a kt.

  • Ok to clear things up this is how it goes. They like to advertise as "treasure hunters roadshow" to confuse stupid people into thinking that they are the antique roadshow.

  • Total scam!!! Just tryin to buy gold in time of financial struggle. Took antique advertisment in for appraisal and was told to check back in a couple of days. No response. Was told hot items gold and gold coins...was advertised in tri-state as ANTIQUE ROADSHOW and was filming for next show. DICKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I have been to three shows and sold them items. In one show it was for $498.32 and had no problems with the checks. If you search further you will see they claim to have had one minor glitch in accounting practises. Stuff happens. I would recomend these fellas.

  • **** ALERT ***** I don't need to explain the Treasure Hunters Roadshow, Just Google "Treasure Hunters Roadshow Checks Bounce" and see for yourself, OVER 80 newspaper articles from COAST TO COAST !

Mobile pawn show that does not have a permanent address to be answerable for their actions!!!

  • Google....antique treasure hunter roadshow bounced checks. Be wary and aware that sellers don't always get their money.

  • This is a joke: I took in some great jewelry, and they didn't even look at the names. They weighed it and offered me scrap price, despite the jewelry being in PERFECT condition with designer names. They offered less than $9 each for 14k gold rings, less than $5 for heavy sterling necklaces and braclets: it's a joke.
