A converted AR 15 cost between 8 to 10 grand. A non-converted AR 15 full auto would cost around 16 thousand. M16 and M4 are military designations of the AR 15. When you buy one, do not buy from a class 3 dealer. Do the "person-to-person" transfer only if the person who is selling the class 3 weapon lives in your state.

Dealers usually add more cost to the weapon. When I bought my AR 15, I didn't go through the dealer because I bought the weapon from a friend of mine. You can buy from a dealer but expect to pay more.

You can buy a semi-auto for 900-1500 and just buy a new automatic lower for it for 300-600. Save yourself a lot of money, and hassle. Best way is to simply get a class 3.

If you are trying to do business buying, selling, and manufacturing automatic weapons that's fine. Then get a class 3 dealers license. If you're just trying to get the license to expand your collection or for personal use then that is ILLEGAL.

Nah it's not illegal. You just need:

-A place to "do business". Any building is classified as a business, as long as it has a front and rear entry. So any home with a back door, and front door, is acceptable

-2 different gun safes, 1 for your own personal firearms, and 1 for firearms for sale.

-No drugs allowed anywhere in the place of business, and no alcohol within 100 feet of any firearm.

-You're also subject to a business search at anytime if any day.

Quite easy to get and not illegal.

You can get a class 3 dealers license yeah easy if you have a clean record. You can conduct business in the middle of wilderness in a log cabin in Alaska as long as there is a front door and back door yeah. But you missed my point. Expanding your collection for personal use and not for business is not legal. Be prepared to pay maybe $1000 dollars a year to renew the license. It might be worth it for you. Oh yeah class 2 is something you might want to consider and not class 3.

Yes, this was shot in the US. Full Automatic rifles are legal as long as they were made before May of 1986. Any machine guns or automatic rifles (well automatic rifles are considered machine guns) made after that date cannot be owned by civilians.
