Generally when someone is on trial in a courtroom there are witnesses that are brought in to testify. These witnesses give actual account of what they have seen and heard. After Jesus ascended into heaven He told the disciple to wait in Samaria for the promise of the Father, the Holy Spirit (Acts2:33). The Holy Spirit has always been and was manifested in flesh and promised us (Acts2:39). This being said after believing (repenting) God filled me with His Holy Spirit now I am a witness of this.

Scientists don't even know everything about things we KNOW exist. How are Chistians gonna know every little fact and detail about a thing we put our faith in? And if all the Jesus stuff is junk, why take facts from the Bible at all? How do they know that crazy guys believing in a man they thought was Gods son didn't just write facts? Either believe the whole Bible or none. And youre right, if we could we wouldn't need him. But we can't. So then what do we do?
Okay, what if youre right? What if we don't have a heavenly creator looking out for us and giving us someone to love? What do we, humans, have to live for? Ourselves? That would get old very quickly. Not everyone is going to take the Christian way. And we aren't gonna know some things.
And the hunger thing. God gave us this Earth to do what we choose with it. Why doesn't God take care of the starving millions, the African people, the people under communism rule? Because its our reponsibility. Our job to take care of our own. Intead of complaining we should be activating ourselves to help those people. And Gods not some magician. He's my, your, his, her Creator. Our Lover. He loves all of us so much.
And the hunger thing, humans do that to their own kind. God can't reach down and feed millions. he gave us this Earth to make it our place and to take care of it. I think that the chat forum should be all about praising the Song, in this case, the Lord. Not argueing with people who feel the need to seek out music they dont like and comment about it. Please support with a BIBLICAL answer. @tlempner Your missing the point. Its shouldn't matter on what you or I think. The point is the lyrics are aiming toward God and giving him the praise he deserves, the call for help, The humbleness of saying we need him. The lyrics are clearly that. I do not judge music by sound, but by the lyrics and the message of the song. This song has helped me praise God and get closer to him, I enjoy all kinds of music as long as the lyrics glorify God. Jeremy camp is a humble man :)
Though David's humility in Psalm 119:25-32 does not have music accompaniment, David prefers death and is experiencing deep sorrow, and he is asking for God to put false things from him, for strength (to not be negatively effected by emotions) and instead provide truth of His Word. Jesus in John 4:24 is correcting the woman at the well who thought she was committed to "Hard" worship and praise. Is this song sincere? Probably yes. But true worship includes reverence, among other things. "Hard" praise does NOT guarantee reverent praise. Even non-Christians like this music because it sounds like rock groups they listen to. Objectively, what is spiritual or truthful about this song?

Logically that seems right, but music that is for God & because of God [result of God's will or intervention] does NOT mean it is God's. One of many examples is Cain & Abel (Gen 4). Both Cain and Abel offered a sacrifice to God; if u follow logic this means they offered sacrifice because of God and because it was God's. The BIBLE says God had "no regard" for Cain's offering. God punished & cursed Cain. Referring to bible passages i listed earlier, is this song acceptable to God?

@tlempner despite how 'powerful' religious music may be for a believer, there really is nothing good about this music. the guitarists only uses simple power chords, the drums follow a strict 4 beat measure (with little to no off-beats), and the bass line is so drowned out. and the lyrics are terrible and corny..

I went to a Catholic school and a Catholic church all my life. I learned many things about a religion. Although I respect the Catholic religion I was left always feeling that the religion was the most important part. This may be to simple for most, but I now believe in two words "Faith and Hope" As long as I have FAITH there will always be HOPE. As long as I live as Jesus would have me there will always be hope. If you just think it is possible that GOD may exist than your faith can grow
I believe in God. It's real that we cannot prove that God exist (or not), but I believe. If you think what can happens if you believe, the answer it's nothing. If you think what will happen if you don't believe...well there are many answers, bad ones.
I gotta add this guy I met at a concert, Kingsfest I made my husband take me cuz im in love with this dude;s music and after the last christian band I liked broke up....I found Jeremy Camp, His music got therapuetic for me, to this day, preventing suicide attempts a couple times before, dunno what it is good stuff with him., I met him at his concert and he was probably the most down to earth star I met, I also met Remedy drive and they were rude, but not Jeremy, hez awesome stuff ;)

It's just that as christians, we believe what we believe and with the faith we have, we don't change our thoughts because that's what we believe. Atheists and agnostics are more open to different ethics and ideals as a general rule because they aren't bound by specific religious beliefs to guide them so they're able to take different pieces of doctrine and form it into their own mannerisms.

Generally when someone is on trial in a courtroom there are witnesses that are brought in to testify. These witnesses give actual account of what they have seen and heard. After Jesus ascended into heaven He told the disciple to wait in Samaria for the promise of the Father, the Holy Spirit (Acts2:33). The Holy Spirit has always been and was manifested in flesh and promised us (Acts2:39). This being said after believing (repenting) God filled me with His Holy Spirit now I am a witness of this.

The bible is not used in any serious history book except for corroboration of facts that have nothing to do with the salvation story. No, just because evolution happens on a small scale, micro-evolution, which is a fact, doens't mean over more time it can change species. Natural selection selects, it doesn't create, evolution requires plenty of things that have never been proven and are scientifically impossible. The point is the lyrics are aiming toward God and giving him the praise he deserves, the call for help, The humbleness of saying we need him. The lyrics are clearly that. I do not judge music by sound, but by the lyrics and the message of the song. This song has helped me praise God and get closer to him, I enjoy all kinds of music as long as the lyrics glorify God. Logically that seems right, but music that is for God & because of God [result of God's will or intervention] does NOT mean it is God's. One of many examples is Cain & Abel (Gen 4). Both Cain and Abel offered a sacrifice to God; if u follow logic this means they offered sacrifice because of God and because it was God's. The BIBLE says God had "no regard" for Cain's offering. @tlempner despite how 'powerful' religious music may be for a believer, there really is nothing good about this music. the guitarists only uses simple power chords, the drums follow a strict 4 beat measure (with little to no off-beats), and the bass line is so drowned out. and the lyrics are terrible and corny..

I went to a Catholic school and a Catholic church all my life. I learned many things about a religion. I gotta add this guy I met at a concert, Kingsfest I made my husband take me cuz im in love with this dude;s music and after the last christian band I liked broke up....I found Jeremy Camp, His music got therapuetic for me, to this day, preventing suicide attempts a couple times before, dunno what it is good stuff with him., I met him at his concert and he was probably the most down to earth star I met, I also met Remedy drive and they were rude, but not Jeremy, hez awesome stuff ;)

It's just that as christians, we believe what we believe and with the faith we have, we don't change our thoughts because that's what we believe. Atheists and agnostics are more open to different ethics and ideals as a general rule because they aren't bound by specific religious beliefs to guide them so they're able to take different pieces of doctrine and form it into their own mannerisms.
