how do you make the camera run so nice across the map? is it sandbox only? if so how do you activate it and also once a map is loaded into sandbox can it be played fullscreen i still see all the buttons and menus even when playing in sandbox

@1ENGINEofCHAOS1 I used the trackview editor which is the tool used to make all of the game's cutscenes. Sandbox is for level editing, I don't know of any way to play without the tools and buttons within the sandbox. If you have more questions go over to Crymod.

The only appreciation I have for Crysis is because of how technically impressive the game is, other than that it is a TERRIBLE game, I would much rather be playing Metal Gear Solid 4, Final Fantasy XIII or Gran Turismo 5.

I get about 25 - 30, 22ish in action scenes, 35 in more linear areas. There are so many variables to consider in your rig, so that might be why.

There are a couple of texture mods but I dont think they are what you are looking for. The textures in Crysis are so good nobody really bothered.

Check Crymod, there are a couple of ground texture packs.

Well that's true for the most part....you might happen to come to a long stretch of walkway along a cliff or come to a ledge...and those are the times when you might notice the pop-up

Even so, at those times you can't move forward (falling over the edge) so you can't notice pop-up from a high elevation while moving forward. If you are just standing there nothing will pop-up.

If you want you can make all the view distance variables something like 10,000 and never seen any pop-in no matter what happens.

No, you just write an autoexec (a text document), or if you are already using a config edit the one that came with it. You need to know the variables, there are different ones for geometry, vegetation, texture detail etc.

There won't be a graphics leap, but it won't be worse. I have no idea how you got that idea. It is scaled down for consoles but that doesn't mean that the PC version won't look good. It has nothing to do with the PC version.

The best config for a fairly gd system, being 4 gb 1066hz ram, q6600, asus p5k,powercolour 4870 512 mb, would be , the ccc mod but at what lv? and then the ultra high quality mod, as the xconfig shows more unreal affects. i just compared the extreme and ultra quality again. And believe as the extreme quality config has a slight few more pros but looks like it would need some AA to look perfect,i believe this will reduce my fps more than the ultra high quailty mod, so for me ccc, ultra high mod

Ultra High was one of the first configs available, and it's main draw is that you can enable Very High on DX9. If you are looking for realism then there are newer, better configs available like Real Lifesis and Natural Mod.

I consider Anti-Aliasing not a viable option for Crysis. Not only does it lower performance but it means you can't use EdgeAA which is the only was to anti-aliasing and enhance the vegetation.

The ccc mod applies to crysis warhead also, does mean if crysis and crysis warhead were conpared they would look the exactly the same with warhead having a few new frames due to the engine? The config maybe, but the TOD files are unique for each level in Crysis so they would have had to have been done for Warhead to (so you can't really apply it from Crysis 1 to Warhead) but I don't know what Warhead configs exist.
