  • Exactly like me when I get into trouble; "Yeah yeah, shut up already so I can go and watch TV. <.<"

  • My staffy cross does exactly the same, but all you have to do is say 'What's this?" and if he does this you know he has done something wrong :P

  • Seriously? It’s like hearing a duck trying to explain something to a dog.

It’s a Whippet you got walking around, how does he get his teeth in your scissors?

  • You need to go to a trainer and get yourself trained..

  • What an asshole you are

  • For the past few weeks, everyone it seems wants to put them selves on utube to show us their mastery over their pets. The one thing that comes clear is that you and all of the others seem to think that dogs speak english. One thing is for sure, you display yourself as a one hundred percent compete idiot. I feel sorry for your dog.

  • @Phoenixmike100 They may not know how to speak english but they understand the meaning of what your saying. They know they are in trouble and did something wrong when you speak the way this person was speaking.

What are you supposed to do, just speak gibberish sternly? Its either that or use your native language and the tone you are using gets the message across.

BTW, my whippet mix reacts just like this one when scolded. Ears down, hanging head, no eye contact.

  • @testy462 We all know how an animal acts, its those humans that are acting out. You for example are tyring to show us what a grand master you are. I'm sure that you treat your children the same way. You shouldnt be allowed to own an animal. You have just demonstrated to all of us how little you know about animal behavior

  • @Phoenixmike100 ROFL, really?

I'd try to argue with you, but it would be like trying to argue with a wall... a really really really dumb wall lol.

Nothing wrong in this video, or scolding your dog. This dog hasn't been beaten, its just the way whippets react to scolding. GTFO.

  • @testy462 Its a shame most people who cry abuse have absolutely no sense of what real discipline is. Dont waste your breath on this person. They're not worth it...

  • My greyhound acts the same way when I catch her doing something. "Did you take this yogurt container out of the garbage?" and she avoids all eye contact.

  • How can you be mad at such a pretty girl;)

  • @Gliese0 The other problem with owning a whippet is that people think we are terrible owners because we don't fed our dogs.

  • What an angel! He really is the cutest thing ever.

May I ask how he gets along with cats? We are thinking about getting a whippet but we do have a cat (older, indoors only) and have heard that sometimes whippets and cats don't mix.

  • @mintchip01 that depends on the dog. all dogs are different. this one may get on with cats but others dont. you can train them to get on, its much easier when their puppies to do that.

  • lol My Iggy acts like that when she knows she's done something bad. Guus is beautiful. : )

  • that's the way my dog looks.all i have to do is not give him the whole biscuit and he looks crushed! if i ask who took my sock he'll look like that.i have to talk baby talk to get him in the happy mood again : )

  • Aww you can't be angry at that face for long.

  • This whippet is not afraid of his owner, they always do that look when somethings wrong. You should see the way my whippet acts if we get caught in the rain when out walking and i've forgotten to put his waterproof coat on! He expects to be dried immediately we get home, if not, he sits there with the sad face, ears down, staring me out and shivering like hes been beaten. If anyone seen him doing that i'd be reported for neglect, when really hes treated like royalty and has eveything he needs

  • Ooooh, the face! Neither whippets or greyhounds like being told off. They always look so sad when you do. Can't believe accusations of abuse have been posted. Clearly people that don't own or know any greys or whippets.

  • The very first accusation out of some people's mouths is how they HAVE to be beating their dog for it to react this way. These people haven't got a stinkin clue most of the time, but many people tend to think of themselves as armchair lawyers and are gonna give you their opinion one way or the other anyway....

  • Our whippet is the same as this we also have a greyhound we wounldnt dream of playing like this with the grey hound as she was treated badly by its previous owner she was so bad she Hates all Men and she lives in a house with 4 grown men but she is ok with us

  • its only when you hear someone talking to a dog in a foreign language that you realise what dogs are up against lol! clever animals to understand us

  • What an earth is that guy doing with his hands?

  • Adorable face!!!!

  • i have 3 whippets and they all act dumb but there fast learning and very intelligent. when my dog do some thing wrong i tell them off for like 10 seconds and then just dont talk too them for a bit till they come over and place there heads on my lap. job done

  • the problem with owning whippets is everyone thinks we are terrible owners because they are such drama queens

  • @Gliese0 I swear the amount of screaming my dog did as a pup each time he stepped on a thorn or fell over made me wonder how I was supposed to tell if he was really in pain...

  • @Gliese0 haha i'm crying over here.

  • i own a whippet and this one has obviously not been beaten or it wouldn't just stay there. but i do think that they are so sensitive (way too much!) that making a long scolding like that is not necessary. a simple "no" (maybe followed by a few minutes of ignoring if it's a really tough one) is more than enough for my whippets

  • I'm an owner of Whippets, we show them and work with a professional breeder and I can say with 100 percent confidence they are like this. They only need to be scolded to act like that, it doesn't mean the owner is hitting or beating his dog. Whippets are very in tune with their owners and they don't like it when their owners are not happy.

If a whippet is frightened they look to hide, if they are just being scolded but are not afraid of their owner they'll generally act like this

  • you hit your dog dont you? why else would she act so frightened? my two dogs are rescue dogs and were beaten by previous owners so they act the same way...ive noticed this in many dogs some act different but the ones that have been hit or smacked or just hurt act like your dog...the poor thing, you wouldnt like it if somebody went and smacked you around the place so why do it to your dog?

  • @iHaveNlmagination whippets are like these, they are not hAPPY IF YOU ARENT HAPPY. oops caps lock.. but anyway.. mean thing of you to assoume that people hit their dogs without knowledge about the breed...

  • @EuropeanPartyPeople i have a 3 yr old female whippet, i know what they are like so i do have knowledge about the breed

  • 3 second rule! my god! is it realy that hard?!

  • hehe., like my girl whippet! (i have 2 boys and a girl)

  • Why does that poor dog look so frightened???

  • If my whippet pisses in the house he acts all nervous and won't come near us until we figure out what he did and scold him

  • ahahah, my dog, too, has that nervous yawn when I scold him!

  • dogs are going to chew things when they're teething or otherwise bored. its up to you to give him outlets for his natural instincts and get some bones or chew toys.

  • of course she knows that was naughty... dogs aren't silly. We had a labrador that used to bring back cow poo after it had gone hard in the fields, and you knew before you had even seen it as she would get that snake eyed look around you.

  • LOL KEEP PRESSING 9

  • @darkfire1211 cool!

  • no, the dog knows perfectly well what's going on... our whippet knows when we're punishing him, they are far from stupid!

  • I know, i just like to kick and scream at my dog and then see what ultimate dog experts have to say about it...

  • She was reacting to your voice, pointing to the scissors meant nothing to her....whippets are sensitive to loud voices. You don't understand dogs...why put this on youtube?

  • Hahaha, Grutto, you ignorant prick.

  • The dog hasen´t got a clue about what ist done...wrong or otherwise... It only reacts to the owners threatning and dominant behaviour.. A** hole... Learn som dog language would ya

  • He is so lovely. I have a white whippet and she is so like him
