Absolutely the worst band I've ever seen or heard. I mean I tried too, I love the 80's bands, but it doesn't get any worse than this. Sorry, just one opinion.
chan poling is my uncle. i dint relize what he has done. now that i get older i can respect his music. i am glad every loves it to. i am gonna call him now
I shed a few tears when Bruce died. This is a Carlton show. They were so much fun. I have pictures of everyone taken from a kodak "disc" camera. Suburbs, Replacements, then Prince. Mpls. cool. RIP Bruce C. Allen, funk master, Beej, get well and get back here and play!
Allen had been admitted to Hennepin County Medical Center last week with internal bleeding and organ failure. He was taken off life support around 7:30 p.m. Monday and passed around 9 p.m. surrounded by friends and family.
The rest of the Suburbs issued a press release Tuesday morning praising Allen for "contributing his unique guitar skills and warm and funny personality to a band and moment in music that many have recognized made a difference in Minnesota pop culture."
I don't think Bruce is gone yet, I think they just took him off life support, however that doesn't sound too hopeful...
I'm kind of surprised at this... I've never heard of them, nor this song, and I was a loyal and chronic viewer of MTV from the beginning til about '92... I was watching videos on USA Nite Tracks before MTV was even around, but for some reason I have never heard of them.... weird.
@mushroomlounge I was THERE. I was also at The Cabooze...where Beej, the lead guitar here, was SO drunk, he fell of the stage, into the crowd of about 750 people! GREAT days gone by!
It sounds like a band who is trying to immitate some of the better bands of the 80's......and some of the better singers........like Bowie...:-)
