You know what I'm tired of people complaining about this show. The show came on in the 90's for goodness sake, they didn't have the special affects like they do now, but they used what they had and this realy was a kick ass show back then. And for smallville, that is still me favorite show and for it to come on for 10 freaking years, evidently they muast have been doing something right. You all should be glad they have people out there that want to give us a superman show!!!

the arm folding was probably the actor or the directors decision to bring out the Muscles of the character he is trying to portray. where if he was to stand normally *chest out arms down* his physique would not be emphasized by the spandex and ultimately make him very un-superman looking.

The one, minor nitpick I had with this show was the hairstyles of Clark/Superman: I always thought it would have looked better if CLARK had the backwards gelled hair (like in this video) while Supes should have had the "normal" hair.

Sure, the Metallo episode sucked balls but the show as a whole: Totally Rocked!

Teri Hatcher and Dean Cain had TERRIFIC Chemistry, Lane Smith is easily the Best Perry White ever and it was quite an enjoyable show for the 90's.

And BEST OF ALL: IT HAD SUPERMAN acting...Well... LIKE SUPERMAN.

Can't say the same about that certain show that constantly shits on the mythos called "SMALLVILLE".

On a side note, Smallville's Metallo episode also sucked balls..

Dean Cain "poses" too many times as Superman, folding the arms, the unnatural fake deep voice. The key to playing Superman in a believable way is to UNDERPLAY the character, the way Christopher Reeve and Brandon Routh did.

In Smallville if they utter the word "Superman" they will face a lawsuit. With that type of creative flexibility diminished they restort to Clark wearing a black trenchcoat and call him "The Blur". It's a disgrace to Superman, the character, Siegel and Shuster.

Every few episodes they have a "freak of the week" or some two bit criminal who causes a problem and in the last 2 minutes up the show, Clark beats them up and then he has a moment of reflection at the end. What a poorly developed show. It's been dropping since Jonathan Kent died. Tom Welling is a terrible executive producer...
