HAHAHAHAHAAHAHA... portuguese with a bagpipe??? hahahahahaha¨!!!!
veeeeery traditional....haahahahhaah!!! zaixega, you wrote "portuguese & galician traditional folk music" in your info! please remove that!! People, lot's of portuguese would like to be compared to Galicians but they are not. In portugal u've a few bagpipers and its marginal and in Galicia every child learns to play a bagpipe at school so please Portugal is not Galicia!!!
Now a days the portuguese ensembles are forgeting the bagpipe as Galician ensembles are forgeting the accordions. If you know at least some about folklore you should know this. And, of course, you should know yet Galician childs are learning a WRONG way of playing bagpipe, cause the traditional way of playing was closed digitation (not opened digitation) and the're is no child able to play in this way.
Keep doing offensive comments about portuguese folklore and I will have to block you.
Actually, Traditional Portuguese Bagpipers can be found, not only in the North, but in the centre as well, in every small village surrounding Coimbra.
Those are not as good as galicians... they doesn't have any school. They are old, dying, forgotten, but authentic!
Bagpipers are common in the North and not only in Tras Os Montes. Bagpipers frequently follow Concertinas in Popular festivities. Check some of my vids.
Man, I wish more Portuguese-Americans would use bagpipes at festas and the like. Silly that people think they're solely used in Scotland! Lol.

This side of Portuguese culture is virtually unheard of and as far as I'm concerned should be promoted more...
