Yea of course it is easier now with the rules of the game assisting towards the offense. Back then you could play defense and good put some contact on the receiver. Now after 5 yards if you breathe on the receiver you get flagged for PI. The game aint what it used to be.
@copsondonuts I have nothing against your version of football, Infact I am an avid watcher, but I can understand why some young Americans would turn there back on the national sport.... Our version of football opens up a complete world to the players, not in salary but the opportunity to play in different countries, experience different cultures. Both are exciting sports in their own way, whether it be a 98yd drive.... Or a 30yard free kick..... Both get the same reaction.
You really should identify the people being interviewed in this video... Of course, everyone knows Elway (LOVE him!), but not everyone knows Reeves, Jackson, or the other gentlemen commenting on the game. Just a suggestion...
I totally agree, let the players play Football damn it, the NFL is still popular only because of huge marketing, College Football is a lot more exciting.
Getting back to this game, I just wonder why the defensive Browns player put his arm down when Elway was throwing the ball?, he could have deflected the ball.
I love the shot from the back of the end zone. Not sure whether that or the shot of "the catch" is the best clip NFL films ever did...Either way...cameramen, set up behind the end zone
how could you watch this and not literally LOVE our version of football? how? i keep reading that the young bucks of our country are more interested in soccer....really youngins? ....really?
This was The Drive to end all drives. 4th quarter comebacks have always been a Broncos' speciality and Elway was a big part of that. This was spectacular, football at its finest!
i love elway and he was a great qb but i feel like those browns were robbed. i am not biased for i am a saints fan but in overtime that was a missed fieldgoal. i would bet my life on it. no way that the field goal was good.
Hated Elway growing up, Johnny would rip the heart out of my browns everytime Tom Brady, Elway owned your ass and the patriots to But I like Elway now that he is retired one of the greatest of all time no doudt
LOVE MY BRONCOS !!! Was yelling, " GO FOR TWO !!! ", over and over considering we had ALL the momentum and an Elway keeper on a sweep was clear all the way...
@JuanLeg Unfortunately that was not an option in the NFL at the time. The 2 point conversion was not adopted in the NFL until 1994. At least they won in OT.
1 dislike ?? mmm must be a Browns fan...As a BRONCOS fan till the day, I do have respect for the Browns fans (well bout 90% of em, there is that 10% in which every team has em that r well JUST PLAIN ASSHOLES!) & i was watch this over & over this never gets old to me & so does "the Fumble" cant ever get tired of those to gms
Does anyone else think it's funny when the announcer says about the crowd, "This is the time you can help rattle John Elway." Really? It's Elway. I can't remember ever seeing him rattled.
I am born in Cleveland, long time fan. James took the curse with him when he left. I have grown up all of this resentment, but I love you, Denver Colorado!

People talk about quarterbacks, and what makes a great one.
To me, the best ones inpire confidence. Mark Jackson said
that we KNEW we were going to score. From the two.
Enough said.
