Why are people only really nice and pleasant to one another on one day of the year? why do family members and friends u haven't heard from all year decide that now is a good time to make an effort to contact u? My family bought this movie when it came out on VHS years ago, and we now have the DVD. It's become a tradition to watch it every year just before Christmas. It's still my favorite adaptation of A Christmas Carol as well as one of my favorite Christmas movies of all time! This song makes me so happy :)

They did a special pre-Christmas showing of this at the local movie theatre where I was studying abroad in Scotland and it was completely packed with probably at least 300 college students. Tickets sold out days in advance. And we all left the theatre singing this song! Such a classic :)

I was in middle school when I first saw A Muppets Christmas Carol. Every December, on the Friday before Christmas Vacation, in the dwindling hours of school, all the classes would get off more or less early and they would show a Christmas movie in each class and each class would get some ice cream with food coloring Santas or Christmas trees on them and cookies. No idea if they still do it, but they did when I was in 7th and 8th grade.
