Seems the Rustler does alot better off road then on pavement..Ive only tried mine on pavement and hate the handling on it! I will try getting some Jaco Foams maybe that should do the trick. otherwise its hitting storage.I tried racing my buddies Jato using 2s lipo But couldnt keep up, plus i have to slow down to about 10mph just to turn or it tumbles. Love the power and seems pretty durable, hate the handling!

the rustler vxl is a top seller and a really " rambo " and not soo big you can put it in your backpack , go to a other place and race :D ...oohh the shocks yeeaa ..when you buy a rustler buy also tuning shocks because there bad ...the shock caps not really strong they opened z.B. by a big jump or a long race and all oil came out -.- ... soo when you buy a really coool rustler also buy tuning schocks ... i hope you can read that because my english ;)
depends what you are going to use it for, i have the rustler vxl. The slash is a basher and the rustler is more of a racer. And if you get the rustler buy it a whelie bar and aluminium caster blocks because the car itself is weak, hope this helps

the parts that are most vulnerable to breaking are the axle parts. they are pretty durable, though they can't take extreme hits. you can get aluminum metal parts to replace them though

@rckid595 Use a Lipo and this thing CAN go over 60 maybe 70 mph, yes it's that fast.

well the ruslter does blow of some tires if ur goin 70 down the street and the stock gearing slips but i think u shuld get rustler vxl

Yes, of course parts break..but it's a very good strong fast car. The Slash is bigger and heavier. I think the Rustler would be your best first RC.
