Yes, I heard that he (about 11 years old) was one of the folks who was climbing up into the tree and jumping into the river, but had the rope swing wrapped around his arm.  When he jumped, he fell part of the way, then the rope snapped tight around his arm. It damaged his arm so badly, that the doctors could not save it. Sad that it happened, but it could have happened anywhere.
