  • The Harpist is more than welcomed to lull me to sleep anytime.

  • OMG!!

    I just had an orgasm!!

  • MOZART-i do te kish mbetur me i madhi muzikant EDHE sikur te kish krijuar VETEM concertin per flaut dhe harp 2nd mvt

  • Unos pocos músicos, una obra maestra llena de sensibilidad y maestría, únicamente un puñado de personas disfrutando de esta obra de arte. Como es posible?

  • I do suppose that those who disliked it wanted a better permanence. Still, the music is purely magnificent.

  • I do my homework to this :D

  • Absolutely my favorite by Mozart; I wish more people knew of it. And I think it’s great that contemporary artists have continued to integrate classical influences in their music---offhand I’m thinking of Queen and Regina Spektor, but I’m sure there are plenty more. I hope this never dies off.

  • Harp AND Flute???? It doesn't get any better than that!

  • @lonogugeadult Agreed, although a close runner up would be flute and classical guitar, IMO.

  • i dont like to swear, but who the fuck could dislike this.

  • oh harp...such a beautiful instrument, if I ever improve quite a bit on the instruments I already am learning, I will make sure to also take up harp!

  • it such a beautiful piece but its sad how mozart hated it the most....

  • @CarrieUnderwood2710 Mozart hated it?! How!!! D:

  • @SirBob202 because at that time the harp just came out and people at that time didnt know how to tune it and take care of it so it wasnt that great of an instrument..this piece was written for the king and prince because they both played the flute and harp and they ask mozart to write a duet for them of course with payment. so he wrote it and they played their duet but they never paid him and thats what i think drove him to hate it even more.

  • it such a beautiful piece but its sad how mozart hated it the most....

  • There's all the ugliness in the world. And then there's this...

  • I remember when I was 17 years old, that Winter I went through listening much to Classical music and this one the finest, this gives me the nostalgia from that best Winter.

I'm getting more in to it Again, I've been On/Off listening to Classical.

  • enchanting thoughts

    still dewdrops

    lick morning tounge to greet

  • mozart is in all

  • MOZART AND HIS HEAVENLY INSPIRED MUSIC WAS A REAL GIFT OF GOD TO MANKIND! THIS IS WAY HIS EARTHLY LIFE WAS SO SHORT AND LASTED ONLY 36 YEARS!

  • Exemplary performance beautiful, karin well done

  • It always hits me with its magic. I was bending to love harp mainly due to this movement.

  • Nice balance between flute and harp. Further evidence of Mozart's ability to write superb music for virtually any instrument! Very nice performance!

  • So nostalgic. Absolutely beautiful :)

  • de l'oxygène..merci..!!

  • 19 people listen to kesha

  • Mozart is said not to have liked the flute. Then, what if he had liked it?

  • @MrAndieMusik I feel that he liked it all a long. He was just pissed that he didn't get his commission for the works. Heck, supposedly even his early piano sonatas had flute accompaniment. Plus, he's got the whole magic FLUTE opera. If he seriously hated the instrument, I seriously doubt that he would have written a whole opera dedicated to the instrument.

  • @jfluter Yes, you are absolutely right. His operas, other than The Magic Flute, also abound in flute parts, one more magnificent than the other. To say nothing of his marvellous flute quartets... It's all the more strange that one can read in many sources that he did not like the flute.

  • @MrAndieMusik Also, if memory serves me correctly, he was writing the pieces for flutists whom, in his opinion, were not very talented. So, he was sorta feeling what he was writing, in a sense, was a waste, solely because he thought the flutist would not be able to do the pieces justice.

  • @MrAndieMusik

I heard that about trumpet. He thought that it was an aggressive instrument and that if blown in his direction he would cringe.

  • Makes the spirit rejoice in this sad world.

  • It's like the flute is crying out in beauty

  • Those 19 dislikes had to slip ... or I don't believe in humanity anymore.

  • What's so amazing is that Mozart wasn't a really big fan of the flute as an instrument, so for him to write such amazingly beautiful for an instrument of which he was not very fond just speaks volumes of his genius. This is an extraordinarily beautiful work.

  • Can you imagine when the people hear this for the first time . They must have fell over in their seats. This stuff is out of this world. It is beautiful is every facet of musical structure . I bet the people didn't sleep for a week just going over this piece.

  • THAT IS GOOD

  • voice of heaven

    all i can say

  • La música en una iglesia tiene una sonoridad especial. PRECIOSO

  • Que LINDURA!!!

    Beautiful piece!

  • Muito bom, o mozart foi um dos melhores compositores que já existiu

  • I don't know one God from another but that music is beautiful .....

  • very nice

    guy from slovenia

  • A beautiful masterpiece composed by the greatest and most talented musicians that were ahead of their time.. Truly magnificent and awe inspiring..

  • @LoneWolfX2 Ur axactly right man!

  • Heavenly inspired music.....

I just can feel "the sweet shuddering" and flying of my soul.

  • Great

  • Truly beautiful

  • It is truely approaching divinity. How could a human being, a mortal, produce music as miraculous as this? I nearly stop breathing whenever I hear it. If one has never heard this piece, then one is not using their ears to their maximum potential.

  • @mjbeaz Music was created by men.. Not god.. God did not create musical notes and terminology.. It was us humans who created a system of how music works and behave.. Us humans with our imagination and creativity were the reason why we hear this piece of music today.. Do not attribute this to a god but to our ancestors whose dedictation has resulted in this piece of music, for without them, life would be less interesting and dull indeed..

  • @LoneWolfX2

And the same may be said about nature of which no laws would exist without humans.

  • @FERENCEFF

    you're totally wrong.

right is - no humans would exist without nature laws which are GOD's laws!

  • @Umsamir1970

What is outside the realm of humans shall ever be a mystery. Those who claim to have found it suffer from the greatest possible conceit.

  • @FERENCEFF

If you think/believe in this way it does not mean that you're right!

Yours is only very [limited consideration] of a [limited human being].

  • @Umsamir1970 Now you have the right idea. This applies to all human beings, and also to other creatures. We are limited by virtue of our very being.

  • @LoneWolfX2

Yes, music was created by men.... notes, terminology, musical instruments...

But, Mozart being able to write such a wonderful music...(and a few of other composers, too) was surely INSPIRED by GOD (not god)! Even the Bible speaks about "heavenly, angel's harps...

You may deny it...not accepting this possibility... but it doesn't mean that you're right.

If you don't believe in a divine inspiration, don't annoy others with your negations of GOD and "human dedication theories".

  • @Umsamir1970 Hey U, rarely do u see a comment here at yt where its one of those 'couldnt have said it better myself' kind but urs is definetely one of those. Probably should be for most everyone other than the moronic atheists. Mozarts music itself is proof of God. Well done U

  • @SDJOE1

Thank you. I absolutely agree with you that Mozart's music itself is proof of God.

And how do you like this one - Mozart IS one of the greatest gift of GOD to mankind!?

And this saying - "the music of some composers lead us to heaven, but only Mozart's music comes from Heaven".

One more - Mozart's music expresses all joy and sadness of human existence!

  • @Umsamir1970

Another idiot taking away credit from a genius and attributing it to an invisible, mythical, non-existent entity. Mozart's music was created by Mozart, and none other. It's that simple.

Now you can invoke god, or God or GOD or gOd or doG or Santa Claus or the Tooth Fairy or Thor at the sight of anything and everything, just as people of limited intellect have done since the infancy of mankind, but that would be just another irrelevant fantasy among billions.

    This is all Mozart.

  • @kossmikham

    another IDIOT of monkey origin.

  • @Umsamir1970

That's right. I'm of "monkey origin" and you're not. God must have farted you out special, one night after a giant plate of mexican food. LOL!!! What a stupid fucking moron!

  • @kossmikham The incompetence here at yt never ceases to amaze me. Get a clue u piece of shit

  • @Umsamir1970 The origin of music came from different sources at different times.. Even from secular countries like China.. The origin of music definitely was not absolutely 100% from any religious form of inspiration, thats for sure..

  • @LoneWolfX2 Aside from ur last line ur so wrong. Obviousely there is no first hand proof of who created music but ur comment is first hand proof that u dont have a clue. Get one

  • @SDJOE1 Not everything in this planet must be attributed to be from a God. Dont forget what mankind has conceived like technology, medicine and the like. Dont be too conceited to forget what Man has came up with for the sake of survival and for the improvement in our quality of life, these things did not drop down from the sky, but were invented by Man's intellect, creativity and persistance.

  • @SDJOE1 Tell me then who invented music, the notes, the many diverse instruments.. Prove it.. I can even go online and search for the origins of music theory and many instruments, such as the first parchments of music notation.. It was all formulated by man just like language.. Look at h t t p : / / en . wikipedia . org / wiki /Music _ notation (without spaces).. Look at the evidence of ancient artifacts.. Ignorance is bliss..

  • a musical masterpiece

  • The mastery of both flutist and harpist are phenomenal

  • This is truly one of the finest pieces of music one can ever hear. It brings tears to my eyes. Sheer beauty and elegance at its finest.

  • beautyful

  • I hope this is what I hear when walking around the garden of Heaven

  • 2.49-the audience is really a audience,mannn...

  • I lice it very mutch!

  • a man at the harp and a woman at the flute ...usually it's the other way around!!!

  • DIVINE music! Long live MOZART!

  • Heaven and beyond! Endless thanks.....

  • I've read that this music is actually used in healing. Listening to this piece before falling asleep is said to affect DNA, RNA, & the immune system in a positive way - possibly even the pineal and thymus glands. Wow!

We all can sense Mozart's ability to tap into the Spirit/Divine & give us a glimpse of what Heavenly music sounds like. Maybe it really does have a soothing, healing effect on our bodies at a cellular level. I wouldn't be surprised. It surely touches the soul.

  • @MrPinksBane It's got to help us on the mental level, to say the least, because how we think and feel affects everything else. If the music makes us relax mentally, it's only going to help us physically. This is why so many of us get into music...we find it very relaxing, invigorating, and challenging. Absolutely NOTHING beats the "rush" that we get with performing music extremely well in front of an audience, and sharing the music with others.

  • Lindo! lindo! você é maravilhosa!!!

  • Nice and sweet.

  • mozart @ his finest :)

  • Great. Magnifico! I listen to this almost every day.

    Juan Alejo.

  • j'adore..

  • I understand that Motzart was not fond of the flute or the harp. Amazing how he could write such beautiful music for instruments he disliked. True genius. True beauty.

  • i was starring through a cage of those tech screen at an absolute beauty.....

  • @ ngonguyen123 hahahahahahaah. Mediocrities every where...

  • magnifique superbe

  • Love this work.

  • Meraviglioso Mozart. Grazie ancora Mozart

  • It boggles my mind how beautiful this is and the genius of Mozart is hard to fathom how he composed such amazing music until the early age of 35. Words don't describe this concerto.

  • When you hear this, you realize why Mozart is revered.

  • If Mozart is a human being, then I am definitely a cockroach. Period.

  • @ozanand

Me too, truly music from the Gods

  • Wow!!

    So Beautiful!

Wolfgag Amadeus Mozart was a Real Genius

  • Yes JewSA-Bombers destroyed His Hous in Salzburg 1944; I was there and have seen the Pictures of thoses terrorists... and Barbars once and today.

    Wonderfull music like in Haeven!

  • it sounds do pretty :) mozart is such a genius

  • Only a genius could create such a beautiful melody.

  • Very good!

  • Da bin ich wieder mal bei diesem wunderschönen Stück!

  • Ottimo Grazie,

    Giuliano

  • This is the most touching and extraordinary music I have ever heard. The harp and the flute melodies make it inspiring, sad, nostalgic....

    Juan Alejo

  • beautiful flute,beautiful sound

  • Amazing...beautifull tone...

I'm a flutist player too, but I also play the other two mozart concerts.

  • The flutist is beautiful.

  • he is an extincting specie!!! There are so little male harpists nowadays!

  • personally I think this is one of the most beautiful melodies ever written.. period.

  • @tiffanynicolega ....oh, absolutely ! !

  • it's about the love for his wife, but everyone can have his one interpretation :)

  • It's music from heaven.

  • This piece was performed in Cape Town, which makes it even more special for a special person.

It makes the soul fly from earthly sorrows to higher divine dimensions with the soul of the beloved. It would be even more divine to listen to it with you at the ocean's shore mixed with the sounds of the waves and I feel the warmth of your breath on my neck. I love you.

  • Beautiful. Five stars!

  • A maior inspiração de Mozart.

Devia estar numa fase de muito sofrimento.

    Lilia

  • Bravo Duccio!!! Loved your performance here and also in Vienna, when we met last spring.

    Gregory from NY

  • that phrase.....painfully beautiful! Wolfie was something else....

  • Fabulous concerto, Mozart was so stressed out when he wrote it though, he hated being in Paris, and it is very likely that the patron who comissioned this work did not even pay for it, so ironic! Mozart's life was full of constrasts as well as his music. Bravo Mozart!

  • this is mozarts love song to his wife. this song should be played slow and with feeling. this is a great version of it

  • Aomebody knows what's it's name on Köchel catalogue? It's truly beautiful!

  • what comes to my mind is a free spirit who does not let the obstacles of life get him or her down

  • Congratulations ! Mozart is happy somewhere...

  • merveilleux classique

    très reposant

  • gorgeous

  • this is a work of a man who did not like the flute

this is art at its upmost naivety and purity and nature has been unable to produce another mozart

    simply astounding

  • amazing, isn't it? just imagine what Mozart would have written, had he actually liked the flute, and, more importantly, had he lived longer than he did

  • Wonderful...Bring to me thoughts about God, Nature and Universe...

  • this is one of my favorite mozart pieces ever. it's amazing and you really interpreted it well!

  • possibly the most beautiful piece of music ever to grace itself upon us

  • @123parrot456

    It just is.

  • Wieder ein Besuch zu diesem schönen Video. 5 *****

  • This is one of my favorite pieces by Mozart. Everytime I hear it makes brings me to the point of tears. You play it beautifully.

  • trés bien!

  • Hier bin ich wieder; das ist eine der mir am besten klingenden Aufnahmen dieses Stückes. 5 *****

  • Wunderschön, danke! 5 *****

  • I'm going to play this on the harp. Men i'm nervous. If I hear this I know I still have a long way to go!

  • I can really hear the voice of god.

  • Mozart, tu sei stato un angelo mandatoci direttamente da Dio per farci sentire la Sua voce.

  • it's my dream to play this in my high school orchestra... the High School of Performing Arts... show everyone that expensive lessons & flutes are no match for pure passion & dedication...

  • My dream would be to play Mozart clarinet Concerto. My its good is it not?

By the way. Those who show how much money they have are the poorest of heart of them all. Mentaly. Ofcourse.

    Long live Mozart.

  • aww, it would sound amazing on clarinet!! go for it :D

and i agree completely. practically 1/2 the ppl in my class have these solid silver flutes with all these fancy attachments...sad they wasted all that money, they sound like robots.

  • So very beautiful.

  • marvellous concert long live mozart

  • It's so beautiful, it brings tears to my eyes.

  • Such wonderful music and such an accomplished and personal performance - thank you!

  • I'm thinking of playing this for my AS level music performance (I play flute). I think that it's beautiful... so elegant...

  • It's really wonderful to find some great quality music on youtube. You made my evening!

  • Absolutely amazing, you sound like James Galway and Marisa Robles!!

    But more powerful and evocative!

    Thank you for posting!!

  • Beautiful. :)

  • hermoso, lo escucho siempre y siempre dire que lo interpretas muy bien Karin!!!....

  • Porventura a melhor interpretação de uma das mais belas peças musicais.

  • Bravi!

    :)

  • i loooove this..breathtaking....

  • Brilliance, sheer brilliance. Few pieces in the classical genre can match the utter beauty and elegance of this piece. I cannot hear this concerto enough times.

  • Oh god how beautiful this is! Both of the soloists are brilliant, too.

  • I AWARD THIS 1 1/2 WOLFIES.

  • Bella cadenza!

  • This is the music which I want to go out of this world.. the last piece to send me home to my Creator. Makes me cry eache time I listen to it.. THE VERY VOICE OF GOD..

  • Beautiful!!!! BRAVO!!!! I love what you did to the cadenza. I agree with JamieFDalton, that WAMozart did not write that part himself.

I have been playing flute for 40yrs and I can only dream of playing so well.

  • incredible... thanks for posting!

  • I'm working on this peice in harp. It is really cool

  • This music is /incredibly/ beautiful. We mustn't forget that Mozart was a lucky man for being able to write music like this, let alone us being lucky for being able to listen. After all, he did enjoy his own music. Also, I often wonder if only he could fully appreciate his music, because he could hear all the parts interacting and harmonizing at once, and understood it all completely. Either way, masterful, so underappreciated in his day, and so young a death :'(

  • This makes the internet worthwhile. Its an amazing piece, beautifully played and the sound quality is excellent. I can listen to this 4-5 times in a row every day and savour every second. I'm attempting to write it for the piano although I could never do it justice. Am I right in believing the 2nd movement cadenza (perhaps other parts too) was not written by Mozart but by one of his students?

Thanks for sharing such a stunning video Karin and for giving me hours of pleasure and motivation.

  • Too true. The Internet would be revered instead of often condemned if it was all like this. And I don't know about the cadenza! The one on my recording is a different one. And I think this would sound good on piano, though maybe for a piano duet! One piano to do main accompaniment/harp, and the other to do flute

  • Linda pieza y bonita interpretacion.

  • This is, in my opinion, the most beautiful song in the world. I'm not saying that it's the greatest or the most complex or the most intense. I think Beethoven's Ninth is the greatest piece of music ever written. But in terms of pure natural beauty, this is the finest creation by the hand of a man.

  • i love it when the sound of the flute resonates beautifully. thanks for posting =]

  • It is miraculous!

  • It's one of the best pieces io Mozart in my opinion. Thank you very much for posting!
