  • I love this theme! I think is just so romantic, so vampire-ish! He is so awsome and handsome and powerful, voice and man together, and she is so pure and divine.... and the rock guitar and the pipe-organ make their voices sound like celestial!

  • Just listen to the lyrics. Doesn't anyone else think Erik is a major creeper?

  • I really dig Gerard Butler's voice

  • Personally, I prefer this version to nightwish's version...

  • one of the best schaumacher movies

  • Emmy Rossum's voice sounds so pure even as an opera singer, she has a vocal quality and power almost equivalent to that of Hayley Westenra, I was so stunned cause I never knew Emmy was such a beautiful soprano singer. I love it. Very well done !

  • @TheMathias456 she has an awesome voice but have you heard nicole scherzinger sing it

  • Rock & Classical music intertwining with each other. Best thing ever. PERIOD!!!!!

  • I know this song completely by heart! ♥

  • this sone is very gppd

  • Iron Maiden's version is better. Up the Irons! \nn/

  • Considering the fact that Gerard Butler never sang before at the time the movie was being shot (to my knowledge), he did a pretty damn good job. Kudos to him and his sexiness <3

  • BEAST song XD

  • That finishing high note...Oh dear God

    Emmy Rossum is amazing

  • When the Phatom yells "SING FOR ME" I can only imagine dirty things..

  • Awesome!

  • This always gives me the chills... brrr! ;)

  • gerard butter is awesome and he is so hot in phantom. way better than the broadway version. emmy isn't bad either. but phantom is so figgin' hot!!!!

  • Tim Burton didn't write the music.... Danny Elfman did. Oh and btw he is extremely successful, not only has he written songs for many, many movies! He also writes all the music for The Simpsons.

  • @whiteday70 try Andrew Lloyd Weber you ignoramus. At least look at the facts before you post your moronic comments. Also learn to grammar.

  • this is the only movie with people singing that i will ever LOVE. <3

  • I would sooo marry Gerard Butler!

For those who don't know he has a scottish accent

He can act out action, comedy, tradegy, and musical movies!

    His body is SMOKIN!!!~!

Where can a girl go wrong?

  • That girl is having an orgasm

  • Jack Skellington :)

  • @dudefreezone Uhm....what the heck?

  • @PinkPearledGirl please dont be ignorant and bring tim burtnoskill into a beautiful song

  • @dudefreezone Lololol. You really mean to say that you think Tim Burt has no skill? That's why he is so successful that he can buy you, your family, and any of your friends that are as stupid as you and then some. Don't trash what you're jealous of.

  • @hannahbrandon1 fuck you bitch

  • @dudefreezone Umadbro? Go yell at someone else. I'm just a computer screen.

  • @hannahbrandon1 Well, unfortunately Tim Burtons so called "skill" is not much to brag about.

  • I sometimes sing along with the song~!! Love this movie!!

  • OMG i didn't know Gerard Butler played the Phantom!!!!!!!!!!!! I love it when she hits that REALLY high note at the end <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3

  • Gerard Butler is epic!!! Action, Romance movies...AND MUSICALS?!?! He's truly awesome.

  • love this song<3

  • its perfect live :D

  • Thumbs up if the beginning sounds the beginning of Not Ready to die by a7x!

  • im possibly singing this for my talent show. (: these notes are easy.. I live the aray of tempo. I just need a partner.

  • @KionaHataka if u have the voice for it, its not hard to hit. the hard part is having the ability to go fairly low and high, im lucky enough to be a tenor 1 that can go low baritone

  • Oh Phantom can sing in my head all he wants

  • @XxXxjasmineXxXx1 oh yeah

  • @XxXxjasmineXxXx1 Oh yeah! Gerard Butler mmhmmm lol

  • yeah right gerard butler is 46 years oldright now

  • Comment removed

  • @theviciousguitar Actually, he's 41.

  • yeah right gerard butler is 46 years old

  • I can ALMOST hit that last note I can hit the pitch right below it but the that sole note I can't!

  • I hit that ;)

  • I hit that.

  • Gerald gives me shivers <3

  • Oh, Phantom. He can sing in my head all he wants.

  • la de NIGHTWISH, LA MEJOR VERSION

  • Saw this Awesome play last night in Vegas. Truly an Amazing show.

  • Lets see the gross half of your face! come on!Lets see the gross half of your face so i can get outa here! That nose better be piggy!

  • @mikevmpr3 LMAO

  • i saw this movie twice at the Theaters, i love it, a masterpeice, i saw the play too, but i didnt care for who played the phantom, and i dont mean Michael crawford, i have never seen him live

  • This song is hard to sing along to when you're trying NOT to wake up your entire house XD

  • @WolframxYuuri95 haha so true >.<

  • THIS. IS. OPERA!

  • I love the movie but I was kind of bummed that Christine didn't choose the Phantom. V_V I liked him a lot.

  • @WolframxYuuri95 ya i soo agree with u but like it so scary how like in the old versions of the phantom of the opera, the phantom always was made to look like the bad guy especialy in this one slauter version of this but anyway . ya sadly in the old versions they made him look like a bad guy but in this new version here with gered butler omg finally they didnt make the phantom look like the bad guy. n plus i think he doesnt look like the bad guy here cuse he's way to handsome to be hot lol

  • @ultraelectera i mean he way to handsome to be made look bad that wat i ment to say in my last sentence

  • i trying to get the last notes right:L

  • @alextrex17 i second on that! he is amazing at singing!

  • I love this song!!!! To me personally, this is the best song on the soundtrack!!!! Gerard Butler has a beautiful singing voice, and that's his real singing voice in the movie, but British opera singer Margaret Preece was "Carlotta's" singing voice.

  • @protectorofillinois3 uh uh. it was really Minnie Driver's voice.

  • @petermckracken Minnie Driver sang "Learn to be Lonely" at the end of the movie, but for the rest of the movie, Margaret Preece was still Carlotta's singing voice.

  • and you guys are insane gerard butler has an AMAZING voice!!!!

  • ps wicked guitar

  • omg i soooo wanna see this on broadway

  • dude thank u so much, finally found this song...

  • I'm laughing my ass off right now, because it gerared butler singing and he's supposivly a bad ass actor. What the hell i like him any way. And the girl is hot. And even though i saw the movie when i was only 10, and i saw the play when i turned twelve. I just like the idea he's a mysterious killer.

  • \m/

  • why am i listening to this?????????

  • @nunka34ify Because it's awesome.

  • Gerad Butler can't hold a candle to Michael Crawford, much less a chandelier.

Sorry, I just really detest his voice.

  • @BwookieT As do I. I hope whoever does it on Broadway in the spring is better at it

  • @BwookieT everyone has thier own opinion, i rather not hear michael crawfords cause his voice isnt manly enough for me, he just comes of a little more girly, not saying hes bad cause hes not, i just like deeper voice for men, not higher voices, but then again when i was in choir i was a bass, so yeah im all about the deeper voice

  • @GamingandMetal6 Haha, fair enough. I must admit I am a little biased, I've grown up admiring Michael Crawford as Frank Spencer and then Erik, so any song I hear him sing, sounds better than any other version I hear.

  • I really wish they hadn't had cut the "In all you fantasies (phantasies lol), you always knew..." part.

  • probably not the best film for gerard butler but he did amazing none the less.

  • @bman45101 Are you freakin kidding me? He was awesome in it!!

  • OMG! She`s like 18 years old!!!!

  • The Phaaaaaaaantom of the opera is thereeeeee....inside my mindddddd

    Holy shit!

  • i still can't believe it's gerard butler singing 0_0

  • @LimonPower So good!!!!

  • @LimonPower he actually used to sing in a band believe it or not

  • @LimonPower i know i just found out who it was and hes one of my favorite actors and he has really good voice

  • @LimonPower I couldnt believe it either!

  • This sounds totally 80s and it's completely awesome. Love that organ.

  • gerard butler is a hot sing/actor god!!!!

  • They could never be on broadway. They have alright voices.. Better than most.. (cept it gets put through filters and stuff). But never on broadway.. All so... WHY DID THEY CUT OUT PART OF THE SONG FOR THE MOVIE?!?!? "In all your fantasies, you always knew

    that man and mystery . . .

    CHRISTINE

    . . . were both in you . . .

    BOTH

    And in this labyrinth,

    where night is blind,

    the Phantom of the Opera

    is there/here inside your/my mind . ."

  • @personlalafa Emmy Rossum could if she wanted. I think we all know that this song only represents half of what she can do.

  • @0123aria But she really couldn't, she has a pretty voice but it's not strong or full enough for a lead role on a stage.. She could at most have a supporting role but that would be pushing it.

  • @personlalafa ok but if she werent doing opera she could! Are you a professional singer? If you arent then dont judge!

  • @0123aria bahahahahahaha "don't judge" ?!?!?!?!?!?! Oh, you are hilarious. Hun, the whole entertainment world is about being judged. Don't tell me to do such frivolous things. I am not saying I am better than her. Because by George I am not. But I am sure if I had the same training as she did I would exceed far beyond her talent. Anyway, we are all entitled to our opinions. So let's leave it at I think she has some talent but no Broadway for her. And that you like her.

  • @personlalafa well you took it how you wanted. And no by all means the entertainment world is not about being judged. Its a yes or no. Simple as that. Same as if you ever went to a casting. Theyre not gonna waste their time saying: your too ugly or too pretty. Please take some time do do some research on stuff you want to point out to other people. But yea I guess we all have our opinion.

  • I love this...Gerard Butler doesn't have an Opera voice, but it's so raw i love it. <3

  • 11 people are deaf

  • Gerry juice ftw! Gerard Butler is the phantom

  • I can actually hit those high notes. Love this song so much. I love the guitar part. (:

  • Love how it sounds slightly modern...Gives me Phantom Fever.

  • favorite song from the whole movie

  • @awasomeguy123 yeah, I went to see PotO live and it was just epic. WATCH PHANTOM OF THE OPERA LIVE! YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT!!!

  • This song makes me think of the kidnapping of Persephone by Hades.

  • This is the one and only musical I like. This music and Overture are the best. Emmy's voice is just pure angelic.

  • @CollideFan1 Well, that says something. if you have no experience with musicals, then of course this will be the only musical you like. And of course you'd consider Emmy's mediocre singing "angelic", typical of the common man who knows nothing of music

  • @WaxedLegs Sounds angelic to his/her ears. Is there a problem with that? That's the beauty of music: different voices, lyrics, melodies speak to different people (and in different ways). I don't understand people who want to rob music of that power by telling people they're stupid for thinking X, Y, or Z about a song or artist. It's very provincial.

  • @CanidaeCrazy phantom of the opera, at least the 2004 version, is a very commercial piece, very mainstream and appealing to the most superficial of senses. there's nothing wrong with liking it, but you should at the least recognize that its not good. kind of like a guilty pleasure. Especially because this movie was such a poor illustration of the novel and even musical, and the singers they chose are in fact not real singers, but actors.

on a side note, I never called he/she stupid.

  • @WaxedLegs So it's commercial. To each man his own. For someone knowledgeable in music and theater, I'd understand that certain versions seem superior and some mediocre, but that doesn't mean this version can't be enjoyable in its own right--agreed? No, you never said "stupid," but you were condescending in tone and I was likening that to that insult. And you're doing it again by saying this movie can only appeal to "superficial" senses. Even this version taps into deep emotion.

  • @CanidaeCrazy Already said that. the piece can be enjoyable, but one should be aware that its not good. I actually love this song, but the 2004 version is, while catchy, also trash.

I was only telling the guy the truth. He said it himself, that he doesn't like musicals, and while that's fine, he's obviously going to be criticized for his ignorance. in any case, by superficial i meant emotions that don't carry with you, make you think or move you. its catchy, simple and will touch you shallowly

  • If u go see it in the theater it will probably sound alot better most of the time because of the live orchestra

  • i cant bilieve i didnt go to this earlier it was brilliant

  • This song is AMAZING!!!

  • I LOVE YOU GERARD BUTLER ^^

MY PHANTOM OF THE OPERA <3<3<3

  • LOVE THIS SONG

  • the best muicel of all time!!

  • Beautiful

  • This is definitely my favorite song from Phantom of the Opera, besides Music of the Night. My biggest dream is in fact to play Christine Daae. And I can actually hit that last note, but it sounds more like a dying scream from me, lol.

  • Gerard Butler has actually had his own rock band....he's a rock and roller....thought his raspy voice was perfect for this role

  • SING MY ANGEL! -:3

  • FANTASTIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!111

  • I love tis so much it is ze best

  • Loath Christine for that note.

  • I have a friend that every time he's near a piano, he plays this song. About a dozen people cheer everytime he does.

  • Check out the Nightwish version of this song!

  • It's weird because the director of this adaptation is the director of the God-awful Batman & Robin movie starring George Clooney as Batman. O_o

  • I want to meet the people, in person, that have disliked this video... FREKING NOOBS!!

  • Psh i could hit all those notes perfectly...............inside my head lol

  • @aXlilXpiceceXofXOme

I can hit all those notes perfectly in my mind and outside also... and yet I think I'm horrible at singing xP maybe I am good xD yeah right lol xP

  • @aXlilXpiceceXofXOme I can.... unfortunately im not the stereotypical girl who sounds like that.

  • This song really rattled me when I heard it in theaters.
