The problem is knowing which form of energy will be successful. If I'm going to take my own money and invest in a company, I want to know that I will make money. My problem with "green" companies is I can make better returns more quickly in other industries, and I'm not sure that today's "green" companies will be tomorrow's. That being said, First Solar FSLR looks like an undervalued company, even though it's a popular short. Not sure why the price is so low yet.
