This song actually took some thought and brains to write unlike the new music that is only synthesizers and warped voices. Its amazing that a man sat down and wrote this.  No computers or playback software.

One word....profit.

1) Classical music can't be easily reproduced in front of a live audience of 10k, every other day for months on end.

2) You can't sell products through classical music.

3) You can't create an enjoyable piece of classical music in the span of a few weeks. (If I ever reach a state of desperation, I can probably crap a few catchy lyrics and make millions in the pop industry)

Classical music simply does not make money.

You could even get your orchestra to reproduce Lady Gaga songs and make even more money!
