  • @jordan5221 mr bungle is like the frank zappa of the 90s but with even more abstract lyrics whats not to like

  • @jordan5221 this is not your mom.

  • Thanks if you mean it. I have been lucky enough to work in some of Atlantas' most inffluential music veneus (The Point, The Masquerade, Dotties, Nine Lives, etc...) Thusly I have gained the background for critique. I know "a critic is the lowest form of life" but I strive to engage as opposed to critisize. I would really like to do an art /music commentary because there is so much out there people might never find. If you know of a job opening for an edjucated, opinionated gentleman, let me know

  • pS- hAVE YOU MET bOB dOBBS?

  • @gracealone420

Shyeah, cut me some slack man

  • So I used to go to my local record independant record store. I would buy 2 or 3 albums/tapes that I was familiar with and one or two I had never heard of. On this particular day I had eaten a large dose of LSD, hoping to get home with my music stash before the shit hit the fan. One of my blind purchases was Mr. Bungle.Once I got home I popped in the tape and proceeded to lose my face. I was not prepaired for the assault forthcoming. Exactly what I needed, This shit cleared out my third nostril!

  • @gracealone420

  • mr. bungle is sort of proto-nu metal

  • @hbubic9 Actually, Mr.Bungle fit only into the genre of 'Mr.Bungle'. didn't you know?

  • @hbubic9 mr bungle isn´t nu metal

  • How about Patton,Claypool,Reggie Watts(beatbox), and Tom Morello. That would be interesting.

  • hahard tits hahard tits hahard tits hahard tits...

  • DONT YOU FUCKING LOOK AT ME!

  • Anyone know who wrote the music?

Was it like... Really just Patton who wrote it?

    Really curious about this.

  • @lpasepok I bet Trevor or Trey wrote this. They are resposible for a lot of Bungle's songwriting and lyrical credits. Patton wrote a lot of the songs on California though. And Heifetz and Mckinnon ocassionally wrote songs or contributed.

  • @SilhouetteJudas

Awesome, are there any official docs on who did what?

  • @lpasepok don't really know.

  • @lpasepok They show the credits for who wrote what on Disco Volante and California.

  • Can't think of a better band to play Bizarre Festival.

  • Mr. Bungle is great to listen to AND to mosh to! Wow

  • @SuperGibb

    FAIL!

  • What the hell?

  • the minds of mr bungle are fucking brilliant

  • King Patton, holding court.

  • Check out Hesus Attor on myspace. IMO, those guys have something Pattonish :)

  • I would rather hear the song as original, i know they get sick of playing songs a zillion times though. And Bungle eats Faiths pussy then dumps her on the side of the road weeping...

  • @aaronsdavis Lol, pretty much.

  • wtf is this? patton should go back to making songs like epic, falling to pieces, ashes t ashes, strip search etc.

  • @Supergibb Dude you named all FNM songs and don't get me wrong I love FNM infact I'll be flying to Hollywood at the end of the month to see them :) but Mr.Bungle is the reason why I love Patton he is easily the must unique and inventive musicians ever, from FNM, to this, to Fantomas, Tomahawk, Peeping Tom and Lovage and more I love them all. I'm surprised that you seem surprised from this any FNM fan should at least now Mr. Bungle there nearly as old a band.

  • dont you fukkin look @ me!!!!!

  • Brilliant use with "Goldie" Jah sample!

    Mike patton´s the MAN!

  • Like in every Mr. Bungle, Tomahawk, Mondo Cane, Fantomas and Faith No More Videos and songs (Don't including King Crimson ones, cause they're not Mike Patton brand lol) .... i come like at the 2 first minutes lol

  • A Zappa homage if there ever was one

  • Mike is so great!

  • mr bungle is great

  • Alright, I agree this band is a great sperm deposit from Frank Zappa!

  • COME BACK FAITH NO MORE

  • Very Mothers of Invention....

  • I like this "re-mixed version", as they played on the California tour.

  • I don't know why, but Mike reminds me to Ace Ventura

  • "DON'T YOU FUCKIN' LOOK AT ME. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!" lmao

  • Needs more cowbell

  • @GuysSeriously highest rated comment.?? sounds a little cliche to me never heard that one wtf

  • @inkQbus2009 Look up the SNL sketch with that name. Tribute to a dead producer who wanted more cowbell in the song "Don't fear the reaper" by Blue oyster cult.

  • @tehhhhhd ahah dude idk wtf your talkn bout, i should of typed in sarcastica

  • @tehhhhhd it is true

  • @GuysSeriously GUESS WHAT!....I GOT A FEVER!...AND THE ONLY PERSCRIPTION IS MORE COWBELL!

  • I find it interesting that there is a shriners sticker on the guitar, anyone know anything about that?

  • @johnbradburne you should check Trey Spruance's (the guitarist) other band Secret Chiefs 3; they seem to be either shriners, freemasons or just very interested or ... maybe just a little obnoxious; also check the lyrics to "None Of Them Knew They Were Robots" by Bungle

  • dude if time machines were real, I'd go back and see all of their live shows!!!

    Hell YEAH

  • Trevor dunn is the most underated bassist in the world, how did les shitpool get so famous? this is real music

  • Comment removed

  • @LordAsho2

You must be a pathetic chav then, you think your so tough on here but in the streets your a joke, so fuck off

  • Comment removed

  • @LordAsho2

ur just so stupid u dont even know what emo is, emo is a style, centered mainly around music, good try though, it got mislabeled by faggots like you who have no respect for the music and only see kids dressed in black whining., we are down to earth people unlike u who dont know jack shit about wat theyre tryin to talk about, so put your keyboard down before u look too ignorant, for your families sake dude

  • @TheByzantineEmo Les Claypool is fucking amazing, and I'd love to see his epic bass playing mixed with Patton's vocals.

BTW Most emo music is fucking whiny, and a lot of people think it's so deep, when it really is just losers complaining about your everyday problems.

  • @frididjurhuus this aint emo fagget

  • @TheJordan4444 "This is emo" was exacty what I was saying.

  • @frididjurhuus i agree

  • @frididjurhuus: while it'd be interesting, i personally hope claypool never gets anywhere near patton.

patton's music tends to be weird and much the same for claypool, but claypool often manages to cross the line into being kinda obnoxious.

  • @PooPoo2U Well I guess it's just opinions then. I love Claypool's music and I'd love to see him and Patton teaming up so I could hear their weirdness collide into something awesome.

  • @PooPoo2U you think Claypool is more obnoxious than Patton? I will have to disagree sir.

  • @TAYLORD: Yes. Patton is just inherently weird and it doesn't seem overt.

Claypool seems more like he's weird by choice and so alot of times it sounds like he's just struggling to stay that way.

  • @frididjurhuus Trevor Dunn is no slouch though. One of the finest (and tragically underrated) bassists out there.

  • @frididjurhuus

agreed that it would be cool to see them work together, but you cannot discount the fact that mr. bungles bass player is retarded good

  • @DickMagnet6969 I never said that.

  • @frididjurhuus les claypool is maybe in audience, i dont see him on stage

  • @wewothebigicipator Oh you picked up on that. I think you should've read the comment I was replying to.

  • @frididjurhuus Imagine Claypool, Buckethead, Patton, and Gavin Harrison. Now that would be fucking insane!

  • @DavidKinner I would've picked Bill Frisell over Buckethead. No disrespect to Buckethead, I'm just not that into his music at the moment. I've also yet to get into King Crimson, so I would've picked Mick Harris before Harrison. Also if we could've gotten John Zorn in on it too, it would be perfect.

I think we're pretty offtopic at this point.

  • @frididjurhuus Well King Crimson is probably my second favorite band, but I think Gavin has yet to prove himself as much with King Crimson, I was picking him solely on his work with Porcupine Tree, they are amazing. Zorn is amazing! I was picking Buckethead solely on how Bizarre he can be, Bill Frisell can be good, but maybe even Adrian Belew on guitar. Again King Crimson, but he did start out with ZAPPA! one of Claypool's biggest influences I am sure that would workout amazing!

  • @DavidKinner I'll be sure to check out Porcupine Tree. Bill Frisell can be bizarre aswell. He's very versatile. His atmospheric solo work and the rawness he had in Naked City could go very well with Patton's style. I'm embarassed to say this, but I've yet to truly get into Zappa. I've only heard a few songs and I loved them all.

  • @frididjurhuus Oh man Zappa is so amazing! He is such a good guitar player/composer everything by him is just awesome! Inca Roads, the whole Uncle Meat cd, Willie The Pimp, Billie The Mountain he has so many good songs!!! I don't think anybody stands up to him imo. I needa checkout this Bill Frisell thanks. Porcupine Tree is also amazing!

  • @frididjurhuus Totally true...it's like a group of venting Borderlines put to music. The most annoying thing in the WORLD. Waaaaaa, look at me....I got a music contract.

  • @DavyDave1313

u dont deserve to like avant-garde.. enough said..!

  • @DavyDave1313

i think you didn't get it you fucking noob.... !

  • Mike Patton is amazing, Mr. Bungle is awesome, but this is not My Ass is on Fire... I don't understand why they had to do this... My favorite Bungle album is the the first one and My Ass is on Fire is a trademark song, I'd say. I actually had to perform it live on three separate occasions (on vocals, though I know Patton can never be matched.) and I personally love the song in general. Why did they do this?

  • @gbncsrht If you want to hear the original you can always just listen to the album. Mr. Bungle likes to rearrange their songs for live performances for spontaneity and to present their fans with something new. I don't think it's in the nature of Mr. Bungle to play their songs the same every time.

  • Hey Seanh3651 Get bent. Mr Bungle is one of the most complicated bands I have ever heard in my life. Their structure of their songs are/were way ahead of it's time. To the untrained ear it sounds disorginized and that is exactly what you have, an untrained ear. If you don't like it go back to listening to Red Hot Chilli Peppers and their 800 songs about California.

  • saw them in the mid 90's at a small club dressed as creepy clowns.

    frighteningly good!

  • mike patton lives in the future.....he's unbelievable and amazing,..he can do whatever he wants...

  • FREAKING AMAZING!

  • If you like that listen to

/watch?v=MdfzfW21WDg it is also Avant Garde

  • DONT! YOU! FUCKING LOOK AT ME!

  • people can actually listen to this shit. what happend to good music. theres a difference from noise and sound and this is deffentally noise

  • @Seanh3651 yes. deffentally. lol

  • @Seanh3651 sound is old, noise is much better.

you should read a bit of art theory about "sound" or at least respect other people taste.

  • @Seanh3651 My mate asked me to listen to these, and i gotta agree with you man. lol, everyone to their own though i spose!!

  • @Seanh3651 Go listen to hannah montana...

i'm a sound engineer.. and the music you probably listen to, is influenced by Jazz (wich is pretty "noisy" for your pussy ears), and THE BEATLES, if you take a listen to SGT. PEPPERS... you'll say the same shit!!.. plz go back to swim in the mainstream

  • @fenixdeejay wow dude you must feel so proud of yourself. Calling me out on youtube. Telling me i listen to mainstream pop just because i don't like this band. Listen to what you want, i don't care. and do me a favor, every time someone states their opinion about a song, just agree or disagree. don't comment back about your career and don't tell me i listen to mainstream. Because no one fuckin cares! you're not making me feel any different about this music.

  • @Seanh3651 When there is respect in an opinion.. i give back my respect...

but when an "opinion" is "People listen to shit!!.. the have shit for breakfast" etc...

    no tolerance at all..

  • 0:18 - 0:22 reminds me on the opening theme for the tv show ''OZ''

  • this whole thing is magnificent, great rendition, perfect they way they broke it up.

don't, you... fucking look at me.

  • every bandmate is an original

  • Mr. Bungle is a genius.

  • @KidFromMichigan

This is kind of retarded... to judge the music by it's title? Get a life.

  • @dimistepa Wake up...

  • Comment removed

  • @dimistepa Who is retarded??? the guy who judge a song by is title? Those guys (especially Mike Patton) are genious.

  • Comment removed

  • @Mrloupsy

There is an old post here that says something like "how stupid is this song, just look at this song's title".

I really like Mr Bungle and apreciate Patton's work.

  • @dimistepa as its name says "KidFromMichigan lol

  • This band is amazing can't get enough of mike Patton

  • btw, this band is so adored by fake poser hipsters it hurts...
