how long did it take you to do the body work i have a 95 and there is rot in the same spots, was it costly to fix? i want to paint it black as well and do a lil engine work. There is only 112k on my car though with a newer transmisson
Hi.I have the same year with 170k on it.Still runs great but the ball joints and or tie rods sound-tirewear-age like they will fail any minute.Any idea how much that might run.I know the ball joints are going for sure.I'd love to get some estimates without driving it somewhere and without greed or profit margins getting in the way. Thanks...From some random internet dude.
if you can let me know asap. I have the same car and i want to put headers on it before i switch to dual exhaust. can you give me the exact location on the internet where you got them? would be greatly appreciated. cause are model cars dont have much clearance space.
@BigMello90 hey man, the headers are for a mustang gt....the passenger side only took a little work to fit them in, but the drivers side were really hard....i had to cut them up and piece them back together to get them to fit.
did u paint the front grill by urself??00000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000
@RobinMastersCorp Hey its not too hard....i used a pi intake manifold, the same thats in the 99-04 mustang gt. the thing is, the ports dont match up to the oem heads that are on the grand marquis, but that didnt matter for me cause i put on pi heads from the mustang gt as well.
hey i have been looking for a good aftermarket intake for my 93 marquis, i wanted a k&n but they dont make one fore that year... where did u get ur intake from?
@jcupsmells1 Ha i just kinda made my own by cutting out the bottom of the existing air box and fabricating a ram air that takes air from the vents in the bottom of the front bumper skirt
this things awesome dude. Im probably one of the only 21 year olds your going to hear that from lol. Im thinkin about gettin one pretty soon in black. Its just a really classy car with a big ass hood and trunk. Its fresh haha
dude this fucking marquis is better then most of the other ones ive seen i wish mine were like this lol fuckin beautiful! so how fast have you gotten it to?
lol yeah i know i got a 94 lol and my friends make fun of me because they think thats the top speed, but when i raced them they wernt laughing anymore lol...
Damn man, nice fuckin Grand Marquis. That Black Paint looks good as hell too!! Is that Candy, Metallic or Gloss?? Also how did you get L/T Headers to fit on a 92-94 Grand Marquis?? Did you have to some some custom modifications to make em fit, or did they just slip in no problem??
Thanks dude....the paint is gloss black. Ha, the headers were a pain in the ass, thats a good question. They were made to fit in a mustang. The passenger side ones only took a little bit of work to get them to fit in, but I had to cut up the drivers side ones alot to get them in.
The headers I got already had a bung welded into the collectors. The 92-94s only have one 02 sensor on each side and it was in front of the cats, so we just replaces the old ones and screwed them right in to the headers.
Oh yea, and you had to cut into your Driver Side Header to get them to fit in or you just had to move a bunch of shit out of the way?? Sorry for all the Questions, but I would really like to try this my-self!!!
Ha its good to hear when somebody appreciates all the work put into somethin......the drivers side headers were made in two seperate parts so that the back two tubes would slip out and the steering column for a mustang fits in between the back two and the front two. So the back two tubes swing way out and get in the way of the steering column on a grand marquis. so basically i had to cut out some sections of pipe up by the exhaust ports and narrow it up so that it didnt swing out too far.
Hey thanks dude....my dad and I actually painted the car in our garage at home....I saw some of your vids, nice mustang! are u gonna paint it? I have a whole bunch of pics on facebook if you want to see the entire process.
Awesome car, nice build photobook, too. Great sound on that engine. Do you take it to the strip at all?
