Bill Nelson is showing his true colors and who lines his pockets. Which are, Health Insurance and the Government Contractors that have slowly taken over the agency since the Apollo program. The science and technology he talks about comes from the same source that keeps his contributions coming in...government contractors. Bill the Shill fought for the budget so his contractors would get paid and in essence his voters get paid. Thanks Bill for helping Kill the Manned American Space Program.

Keep up the good work, Bill. Democrats and liberals are the only ones looking ahead while Republicans and conservatives lag behind. If the Becks and Palins of the world had their way, "progress" would be an outlawed word.

This is pork. Going to the moon got us velcro. The space station has no purpose. The shuttle was just another money black hole mistake. We don't need to send man into space. Invest in a practical delivery system first.

That, and the 'black holed' budgets spent on launching and maintaining military satellites which, like so much associated with our military adventures and so-called "forever wars" (I'm reminded of Gore Vidal's 2002, "Perpetual War for Perpetual Peace"), this stuff compromises our claim to a democratic society.

It's pork, and worse than pork.
