Crysis graphics are better but its not a sandbox game like RDR is. And for the record, RDR was developed using 2005 technology, which makes the tech even older than the Crytech engine. IMO GTA4 is more of a technical achievement than Crysis just by the shear number of pedestrians, cars, buildings, and fully interactive objects/environments.

Best game ever for me. One tiny complaint was the prairies were too small. It felt like riding through a few fields.

I can't wait for the next gen consoles. 2 or 3 times more detail, more character AI etc.

What I love about the game's visuals alone is that not only does it look incredible, but it feels like you're in an active, living, working, and breathing world. The jaw dropping looks are well complemented by the emotional level the game brings and the feel you get from playing goes well with the looks. Amazing game.

@l33tpete you clearly havnt seen all the small touches on RDR and IV , If you wade into the water in RDR it will leave a accurate water line, and your wet leathers will glisten in the sun, thats just one, in IV the Cars have the best damage modeling EVER your car can be damaged in thousands of different ways all effect handling diffrently, evey lil bumb and scratch is unique ,the physics are just as good if not better then crysis

Also, GTA4's damage physics are pretty beast. Not gonna argue. Gran Turismo 5 does damage pretty well, too.

Trust me, i'm a PC gamer mainly, but the detail in at night was extremely impressive. I have no idea why they wouldn't show it. Moving or not, this game has the best Day/Night cycles in any console game i've played.

Sadly, it's also incredibly simple.

It's not BAD, it's a very good game, it's just that Rockstar think like filmmakers.

They always set up the perfect atmosphere, dialogue, plot, themes, motifs, etc. in their games, and the gameplay doesn't live up to it. Partly because of their negligence, partly because the technology to make their gameplay live up to everything else isn't available yet.

Awesome game, I just wish it was as fun to play as it is to look at for the first time.
