Springfield armory manufactures the M1 Garand. You can pick up a new one for just under $1000 US.

They are manufactured in Croatia.

It would need a blank firing adapter, which would just be a plug.

@yort002 Manual actions should not have any modifications to fire blanks, but the reply was in reference to the springfield m1, which is automatic.

No, we usually use real weapons with blanks when we do battles. We hire them from a Section 5 firearms dealer who hires to reenactment groups and films etc.
