He risks everything for lust. He should feel glad that he feels guilt. God does not give up on us - it is we who give up on God. Anyone that is doing this - know that it is wrong and only leads to heart ache. When you are numb to whether this is right or wrong - then worry for you are close to being lost - both here in mortality and most importantly ... lost eternally.
@oc714cal my mother is a lesbian.. my grandmother is very much LDS. i have nothing personally against the church but when someone tries to tell me my mom is not making the right choices it really makes me angry. my mother is one of the best people i know. she works hard. she helps everyone she meets. she gives the homeless guy on the corner dinner. she goes to church... she loves everyone and everything.. even the ones that dont love back..
it makes me sad that people like you are so high and mighty that you will miss out on getting to know her and people like her. some of the best people i know are gay or lesbian and just because of that MORMONs say they wont make it to heaven. well... not all of them... but most.. i know that when my moms time comes and she stands up for judgment she will be received because of her good natured spirit and the love she has in her heart for God.
@oc714cal and [personally] i think that God gets to pick who goes to heaven.. not some million year old books.. no one person's choices will be the same as the next. who are you to say which ones are "righteous" or not?
@paizer22 I am just a disciple of Jesus Christ. It is his gospel that I follow. It is he who determines what choices are righteous or not. It sounds as though your Mom like others has made good choices and bad choices. Some of the choices we make carry stronger consequences than others. I would not assume to say that your Mom will not make it to Heaven as it is likely that she will obtain a degree of glory. The thing is - is that she will not obtain all that the Father hath do 2 her life style
