With this type of tourettes, it's more about what the brains flags as being the most "risky" thing to say in public and then that flagging becomes a nagging URGE very much like trying not to blink for 5 minutes. So really with the cursing and stuff, it's more about the fact the kids brains know it'll bring very negative uncomfortable attention and so thus the urge becomes stronger. With twitching it's a little different

The thing that all of the types have in common though is that it's a big giant urge to do whatever it is the person does to tic.
