Spardas rise to power would not necessarily be very... Morally positive. I mean he was initially a member of Mundus's army. A freaking lieutenant.

@evilnekowantznobs Good point. Sparda's story could be a bit complicated, knowing that he had the good personality of Dante along with the ruthless personality of Vergil.

There's also that bit about him sacrificing a human woman in order to seal the gate of the Demon World--along with the fact that he was once an evil demon. Some morally dubious actions.

It must be shown how and why he became good and married Eva--And what happened to him after life with Eva.

Which if you remember took place 2000 years ago. However... Simply imagine fighting the entirety of demonkind... As Sparda.

Imo, this should of been Vergil's theme in UMVC3, but never the less, I can't wait to use him in UMVC3, my team was Dante/Deadpool/Zero, and now instead of always picking those 3 characters, I might replace either Deadpool or Zero with Vergil, Ghost Rider, or Strider.

a) Dante lives in the DMC 1,2,3,4 and they were after this one.

b) How? (You can throw him in lava - he will survive, you will stab him - he will survive)

c) Dante is Capcom's main hero. So he can't be killed by some asshole called Vergil. (I love Vergil just this is why Vergil can't beat Dante.

P.S.: If Dante was not the choosen one in DMC, Vergil would stab him in 1st 2nd and 3rd fight. And Nelo Angelo would be Dante. (Corrupted by mundus)

1. it's not called DMC 5

2. Dante's drastic change

3. the fact that NT stated it was a re imagining

4. the setting looks different, but i can't describe how

It's definitely a spin-off, Capcom have said it themselves so you are correct....also you may be glad to know that they arent finished with (the REAL) Dante, just thought they'd try something new. The setting of the new game kinda reminds be of Bayonetta coz it seemed like Dante was walking around in an alternate world but could still see and interact with the real world similar to Bayonetta.....I could be totally wrong though
