And for your comment about: "salvation army could have sold, or given it to a poor person..." Do you even know what the whole concept is behind thrift stores? You clearly do not. Everyone from all walks of life can shop at a thrift store. The proceeds go to benefit charities and is for a good cause.

You would be shocked at what you would find, I have found brand name stuff at thrift stores for pennies..i once found a bill blass 3 piece suit for my boyfrienf at the time and we paid 10 bucks for it..and once had to pay 15 more for alternations,,,so a 600 dollar suit cost us 25 bucks.

I used to think the same as you when I was in highschool. Its not like anyone has to know, but yea highschool kids can be very critical & cruel about everything. Now that I'm older & out of there, I see everything in a diffrent way & I don't think thrifting is such a bad idea. There will always be that old smell at thrift stores no matter what. I once found a Hollister sweater at one of these places, you won't always find something you like all the time. Most of the time I don't.

you go girl, you can find good deals in the thrift store, and you can tell what is worth buying and what is not. I always check the clothes I buy for stains, tears, I even smell them sometimes lol. Iwash my clothes before wear them. I dont think I am cheap , actually smart. I don't care what other people think. I also buy at clearence racks, & love ROSS.
