Very nice overall but David lynch would NOT use a CFL lamp. He would more likely use an unfrosted -- possibly antique -- incandescent just not a fluorescent.

Excellent commercial. I can tell that you have a deep respect for Lynch's work, while still maintaining a level of your own style. Quite effective. I'd be willing to bet that Lynch would appreciate your efforts.

Side note, wanted to mention that I get why you put the watermark on the video, but it was up there for entirely too long & became quite obtrusive when the subtitles were on especially. A minor complaint overall, but it did take away from the enjoyment of the video. Brilliant otherwise.

It was made with friends and shot all in my small apartment in my spare time. So it didn't really cost anything other than the pizza boxes I used for cardboard (I had to eat a lot of pizza) to make the big Coffee Grinder.

Calling my video a commercial was merely an excuse to toy with some of the master's classic tropes and themes and provided me a central subject: coffee. And as we all know, DL loves coffee.

Do I think you're capable of achieving that "Lynch ambiance" in your videos? Not even close. I think you are having difficulty separating the differences between Gothic & abstract art, and working/creating on a subconscious level (which is what makes Lynch's films 100% authentic)

No difficulty at all! There is a very simple reason why my film does not bear the authentic "Lynchian" signature: I am not David Lynch. Much in the same way no guitar player has ever sounded like Jimi Hendrix despite a lifetime of effort. My film is intended as a tongue-in-cheek homage to my favorite filmmaker, there's even a punchline at the end.
