  • cool movie needs more dragons and shit though

  • What was the point with this

  • this is London?? thought was somewhere in bloody Third world ....

  • @woodywu2011 It's a film set you dumbass.

  • This movie had the most amazing camera work I had ever seen in a movie.

  • What the hell even happened? I didnt get the point of this

  • that was awesome

  • wow! Lucky for you.

  • did i miss somthing ?

  • This is simple : I just CAN'T understand why some people don't like the movie. In fact, I've just discovered that the movie was criticized : I thought everybody would agree that it is a success...

In my opinion, there is no doubt, it's a masterpiece. I LOVE IT :)

  • I agree.

This is one of my top fave movies ever, along with The Beach.

Anyone who thinks this movie is boring or badly made, doesn't understand this film, and its purpose.

It covers many issues, phiolosophical and mroalistic. It even delves into a bit of transhumanism and how detatched a human can be when seperated from the real world.

It shows you how pointless life would be without children. There would be no essential goal (this goes within the philosophical arena).

    I love this movie!

  • This movie was the one of the best!!

  • This is a great moment in time. Thanks for posting this, it's one of my favorite movies; I'm green that you got to see it being made!

  • Where was the location of Bexhill?

  • hahah yeah!

  • I recognise the 3rd A.D thats Richie from Harpo.

  • i love the ending.

  • When I saw the ending I thought: "what, already?!"

  • When i saw the ending, i banged my head on a wall and pretended there was more.

  • When i saw the ending, i banged my head on a wall and pretended there was more.

  • How did you want it to end? Theo got her to the boat and saved humanity, how do you top that?

  • Did she save humanity? She had a girl. That still means the men are sterile...Doesn't it? I didn't real get it lol

  • I know in the book it was males who were sterile but in the movie it was women who were . So in both the movie and the book the baby was the sex that was sterile so there was hope.

  • you missed the point of the movie. Humanity wasn't saved. Humanity was destroying itself. It wasn't about the loss of fertility. It's about society self-destructing. That boat wasn't going to change anything. The other 99% of the movie should have told you that. If you still didn't see it, remember how everyone saw the baby and went all quiet, then after 2 minutes they started fighting again? And there were many many many such clues. There is an open ending which tells you it's all for naught:)

  • I agree and disagree

The world was going to hell, but the reason for that is because there was no future and no hope. The baby represented hope for the future. The world was probably already too messed up for things to get any better... but there is always hope.

  • @goodflo911 Ah, but did you hear the kids laughing just before the closing credits rolled?

  • Amazing movie, probably the greateast movie ever filmed. The filming was just completelly perfect, extremelly realistic.

  • Wow that's cool

  • niceee

  • Awesome shot bet it was great to watch them make and oscar nominated film. Cant say Oscar winning because they havent announced winners yet! Starts now I think!

  • i thought it was interesting how the extras walked in front of the camera. timing and all...

  • i liked the movie...so there

  • The realism praise is not for the basis(future infertility) but the potrayal of the future. The apartments, the immigrants, the cow burning fields, and more realism in the way the scenes are handled.

  • Wait... This wasn't in the movie at all. INTERESTING.

  • Why? You should try to get infos about the amount of scenes that get cut out of EVERY movie in post-production. Really not that interesting... :)

  • Deleted scenes from movies this tight are totally interesting.

    Totally! =D

  • Hm... OK, you have a point there. :) It's interesting, but makes me angry sometimes. It often seems like they cut out just the best scenes. E.g. "Dune" (vers. from 1984): There's a three hour version, which is even cooler than the cinema-version, but Lynch hated it. They even had to remove his name from the credits.

  • Exactly, the same goes for Scott's Kingdom of Heaven. Fox butchered that poor flick compared to the real cut. This makes me thankful that we are in the age of DVD even more. I'm crossing my fingers that Universal gives this one more than a single disc treatment.

  • i just watched a documentary called "This film is not yet rated" very good if you are interested about how certain movies are not shown because a group of people (MPAA) say its "wrong"

  • I saw the movie and I thought it had great scenes and camerawork. Everyone needs to stop saying this is a realistic story because people are having way too many babies in reality!

  • I don't understand hwy people ahted the movie so much... It isn't realistic its sci fi. Anyway Fegu thank you for making sense..

  • Only reason this seems real to me is because it's been known that some anti-birth items make women infertile. If all women were doing anti-birth, they would no longer have the option because of hormones is what I've heard. But I don't see this happening either actually

  • wow.

  • I can't remember the last film I saw that startled me this much. Many people are posting moronic comments about how awful it was. I thought it was one of the most realistic displays of the near future I've ever seen. The scenes went on forever, incredibly well shot in that sense. I haven't read a single bad review except for over-obsessive youtube commenters who obviously tried not to notice the terrific subtle nuinces.

  • Amen! These haters are a bunch of mouth breathing ignoramuses.

An utterly abysmal, uninspired effort, as aimless as it is pointless.

This film is excruciating to watch: the dialogue is clunky and the acting is often embarrassingly bad. I don't think this is a funny film but we ended up laughing practically all the way through. From 1980s Citroens dressed up as the cars of the future, to Michael Caine cast as a weed-smoking tree-hugger, it is undone at every turn. Save time and money - see something else.

Utter twaddle; frequently laughable. Some pain relief provided by the shooting of the main 'stars'. It'll probably appeal to anoraks and conspiracy theorists - of which there are plenty. What a waste of dosh !

  • 1. "Very bad plot, implausible story, underlying assumptions didn't make sense" 2. "Rambling, confusing, no character development. The only two good characters were killed off early and pointlessly.. an embarrassing mess of a film." 3. " The story doesn't flow at all.. I cringed at the bad jokes and the wooden acting. Children of Men is like an extended episode of Dr Who but without the irony." - the views of others who also obviously associate with morons.

  • The gibberish you wrote, are you pretending to be a learned person?

If you hate it so much, why the hell do you keep coming back here. Troll!

  • While I agreed with you at first, you lost all credibility for using the word "troll."

  • LOL.u obviously associate with morons, yeah snackpimper u do, that movie was amazing..give me three good reasons why it was bad

  • That was the worst film I've seen in years. Interestingly, several people walked out of the cinema and everyone I knew who saw said it was rubbish, yet all the film reviews said it was good. Hmmmm...

  • You obviously asscociate with morons...

  • WHAT....ur stupid..where u liv? practically all theaters in jersey nd pa were packed to see this movie...get out here stupid

  • awesome!!

    best film of 2006!!
