Their actually not eating flies.Salmon do not feed once they enter their natal streams they bite lures and bait out of aggression not hunger.Thats why they gorge themselves before leaving the salt to have plenty of reserves to make it up to where they were born and spawn and die.Steelhead is a different story though.
