If "Quiet City" is considered a good film, then I'd have to say the bar has been set very low. The film has it's moments but I certainly wouldn't recommend it to anyone unless they were doing a critique of this emergent genre of mumblecore and how the standard is low in lieu of image.
Agreed...stupid. Awkward pointless ramblings from socially retard "hipster-ish" pseudo intelectual artsy wannabes. Of all the fantastific films of various genres, why does a segment of our society promote this kind of bullshit as if it has much value. Mumblecore = lamecore
I saw this movie on the Sundance Channel last night and I loved it because it was so different than all other movies out there. Imagine my delight when I learned that there is an entire genre of films like this called mumblecore. I look forward to seeing more like this.

That "shaggy haired loser" is my brother, and the fact that you somehow managed to turn an innocent scene in a movie into a porno fantasy really says some good things about you. =]
I saw this film at SXSW and loved it. Very very sweet and touching. These actors are very genuine and down to earth and what you see onscreen is really from the heart.
