  • holy cats Ron ! who taught you how to paint ? cement masons ? every pro painter are laughing so hard right now they cant get any work done.

  • Nice

  • wish i knew this before i effed up my son's room :/

  • Really nice tools to use when you have to use a extender.

  • that paint edger got paint on the ceiling

  • I've had some reasonable results with a painting pad, however, I've found them not be be that accurate and there's some discolouration between your finished coat and the shade thyat the painting pad leaves.

A good cutting in brush with a tapered end will give you far better results.

  • Useless...

  • A painting pad is a HORRIBLE TOOL Just like shown at 0:22 and like another commenter said paint gets all over the wheels and voilà you're screwed

Painting the moldings and door AFTER rolling the walls to prevent the rolling from messing up your trim work ia a better way

Corner painting pad? What about a BRUSH?

Who is this video made for? 90 year old blind people with severe spasmic problems?

Why is it so difficult to find someone that teaches REAL TRICKS for trimming?

    Cause there are NONE!

  • @TUMNIAISETU

    I totally agree! :)

tips" they gave are for novices/ morons! ;p

pads may work for some people but IMO they are a waste of money/time.

  • pro? u hit the ceiling 0.22

  • This video is good advice for a homeowner. Professionals adhere to different standards...

  • Well, I agree on one thing:: a good brush is well worth the money and good brush technique can be learned fairly quickly. Personally, I've had good results with the painting pad. It's true, you can get paint on the guide wheels, but that can be avoided by being careful when loading it with paint. If you're a professional or do a lot of painting, that's one thing. However, if you're an occasional painter, you may well find these simple and inexpensive tools to be a real help.

  • Learn to brush cut and don't waste so much money on tape. Paint walls, then trim. A Purdy brush can be worth it's weight in gold.

  • @MrArrogantArtist Good comment. Im painting for a guy who---when all is done , will end up paying more for tape than paint! Purdy brushes are the best.

  • I'm a professional painter and these tips won't save you time. The edging tool is a terrible waste of money. Paint gets on the guide wheels and on the edges and makes a mess. Edging with a brush is not as hard as it looks and only takes a little bit of time to get the hang of. And that corner brush doesn't save enough time to make it worth buying. The order you paint the walls and the trim should have more to do with what colors your using. Light color first then dark.

  • These two tools are definitely handy for the homeowner who doesn't paint very often. I can't believe there is actually criticism on here about them. Apparently JhneMd isn't aware that you can buy a replacement pad for each tool after each use. The pads are very inexpensive. The alternative is to spend big money on a professional painter.

  • I hear a lot of people bagging these tools saying to just cut it in yourself. But for a lot of people like myself, its very difficult to get a straight line - even with the best brushes and with the utmost concentration. If you're not a professional or very experienced, these tools can be of help

  • Pad worked for me just fine. Sure, it's not perfect tool but with just a little practise results are good and painting is fast.

  • that pad is junk. the bristles are cheap and get bent out of shape easily providing u with baddd cut lines. get a dang brush and learn how to use it. Ron why waste all that expensive tape on the baseboard? paint the wall first, cut your baseboard in last by hand with a nice purdy or wooster brush and save that expensive tape. i prefer my 2 1/2 inch angled Cutty brush from purdy on trim. aka The CUB

  • two tools that I'm going to buy before I paint...Thanks.

  • @marqik Me too.
