When the horizon looks curved this is not the curvature of the earth. It's because of the wide angle lens. Look at 0:10. Does the earth has a negative curvature? And how could the curvature of the earth change? Every straight horizontal line in the top of the picture is bent upwards and in the bottom of the picture is bent downwards. This is only a lens-effect.

Also, do you have to have a certain amount of jumps under your belt to go as high up as you want? I live in Ohio, and the jump instructor was an Army Ranger in Vietnam. the curvature of the earth is not that pronounced... unless you're far out in space. Even most satellites dont show much of a curvature. That is the camera, notice how the curvature even inverts.

Its a Diamond 0.3x lens which gives you a 110 degree field of view. The 0.2x gives you a 180 degree field of view and really looks fisheyed. Fun lenses to play with.
