of course its not going to hurt a firing pin in a real gun, the firing pin just clicks into place in a real gun when you fire it empty. excessive firing of the WE-TECH 1911 WILL damage the gun. It will prematurely wear out the seals and also cause the O-rings to freeze, damaging them permanently. So go ahead and dry fire your gun. ruin the fukin thing.
