True, but in part, because these powers were started by the Bush administration and extended more with what Obama signed. We still do not know who will be in power in 2012, therefore Obama's "promise" may still be valid in that if he is in power again, he might not step over boundaries.
I still think this should have never been signed in the first place. Between this and Citizens United vs. SCOTUS, we have lost our rights and democracy as we know them. I never thought I'd see the day. Scary.

Through executive orders he alone signed us into bankruptcy putting our money further into the hands of private bankers. This is not to mention orders to enforce the trading with the enemy act against Americans.
