@vtx1300dave Mine is made in Japan. I think I heard something about them starting to use a better tuning key for the new ones but I cant confirm this. The keys I have don't hold a candle to my Rick's tuning keys. It's not that they don't hold tune.....they do, however the gearing is too coarse for my taste. The slightest rotation has a big effect to the tune. Good luck and I hope you get what your looking for!

Excellent job man, nice cover with no string buzz whatsoever. I have the Fender Jazz 5-string and was thinking of selling for the Geddy-4. How is it as compared to other bases you've played? Pro's/Con's? I figured after Geddy's 40+ years of bass-playing, he put his name on this bass, so it can't get any better. I'd love to hear your comments and thoughts on this bass as I want one now. You play great man, good timing and great job.

I have the Ged and have no complaints. The guitar is magnificent and the neck is very playable.

Neck is awesome, the sound is meaty but at the same time very versatile, and the action is perfect.

Also, correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't Geddy deliberately add a bit of fret buzz to certain songs, just to get a bigger growl from his bass?
