Are you all fucking drunk! Any idiot could have said "We need roads!" "Ok, I'll build it". The economy only got better cause no factory owner had to pay for labour. Shit - he was a mass murdering psycho!
Absolutely the most brilliant and spellbinding movie i have seen.Love it! Heil Hitler ! He was the only head of state who was genuinely acting for the german people.Th stupid "western" version of events of the war are still not understood by the dumb sheeple, nor all the horrific things the allies did to innocent humans. the allied fire bombing of dresden killing more civilians than the bombing of hiroshima and nagasaki. Plus all the other great "invasions"and massacres by the usa and britain.
@johnsvideochannel That may be true, but he was also a despotic, unfeeling megalomaniac who used his people and their love for him simply to achieve his own goals of conquest and empire.
To be honest, I find it ridiculous how even now, about 60 years later, people still act the same whenever someone mentions his name as they did in 1970. It's true he was a horrible man and I admit that (so was Stalin). However, he did give Germany the Autobahn and the Volkswagen. He promised a better economy and a job for everyone, both of which became reality.
I also think Hitler was an extremely smart man. No one else in history has achieved to rid democracy or gain power that quick.
@Henkboom1612 Autobahnen were created for a) jobs programme (did little to alleviate the long-term problem of unemployment, effectively useless) and b) move military vehicles quicker. Real wages did not rise under Hitler, but government debt skyrocketed. He got more people into work by pushing women, Jews and Communists out of work. His economic policy was terrible and a massive failure. Also, he seized power when he could, yes, but it took him a very long time to get that opportunity.
Bruno Ganz's performance as Adolf Hitler was incredibly moving and awesome. It was the best portrayal of such a crazy and delusional men, yet if had some human moments. I would only let germans to do WW2 german movies, because -for some reasons- they take it serious therefore the result will be great. Excellent job in this one!
After watching this clip, I've added it to my Netflix queue. If it seems to be a good movie, then I will actually purchase the clip as it seems to be a good movie to show to my homeschooling kids, when they are trapped in a car, on the way to relatives in IL (mwahahahaa!). I came here after watching a Parody (about SOPA) on another YouTube account

What the US should have done is gotten to Berlin first. Make a deal with the Germans in return for their cooperation, and the elimination of the Nazi Party. Berlin would have been saved. Then you take the able body Germans who surrendered and have them fight with the US against the Bolsheviks.
After watching so many parody videos, I wanted to see what the original one actually said... plus I'm studying for world war 2 for my final exams...so I'm not exactly falling off topic. xD
Its so great to finally watch the original, since the parodies got really old, real fast. I am fascinated by Hitler, by WWII in general. What strikes me in this great scene is how Hitler admits defeat, how his whole world came crashing down... much like the enemies he mercilessly defeated. A big taste of his own heartless medicine... yet, I see an old frail man who shakes, whose light left his eyes. Absolutely brilliant performance. I will be watching this tonight, for sure.
Such arrogance. The mans generals were brilliant, and it was his own foolishness that ultimately led to his downfall. He had no understanding of military strategy or tactics, yet frequently tried to take direct control from Berlin, and he had no concept of give and take. He was a powerful and charismatic speaker, but nothing more. I'm thankful every day for the troops from every nation that helped bring him down.
@misterballistics Hitler was actually a genius on the battlefield. How else did you think the man conquered the entire of Europe, save Britain?
It was Hitler's own confidence that led him to his untimely downfall. Invading Russia is never a wise thing to do, especially in Winter - 800,000 German troops perished at Stalingrad. The German army was never going to recover from that.
@misterballistics Like Ownsya10 said, Hitler was a genius compare to most of his Generals. He approve and even plan part of the France invasion. The Red Army was easily swipe aside during the first year of the invasion. It was just that USSR was too large of a country and a bit far from any permanent German supply dumps.
well i first watched the hitler reaction to rebecca black friday parody and i cant stop laughing ang repeating on it and it also makes me go lol! but then i watched this video,i became quiet and i almost cry like a baby, but still i resisted to cry.....btw...Im not a gay or a baby! why? becasue i didn't cry!
@archertrio He didn't conquer Europe. He occupied some countries for a while and then was humiliatingly defeated. Occupying for a few years does not mean "conquering". He failed all his objectives: defeated by England, defeated by the USA, defeated by the USSR. His only possible "victory" was against France and some minor countries from Europe, and it was short-lived.
Where can I find this without the subtitles? I have looked everywhere and I can't find it without subs and I did buy the dvd but my sister took it before I could see if they could have been turned off.
Well, this explains a lot. Gerda was crying because she was wrong about believing in Hitler, and his hand was shaking out of Parkinsons and not, as I assumed, shuddering with barely contained rage. If it wasn't for the whole Holocaust thing, you could almost feel sorry for the guy.
It always got me that people seem to think that Hitler was some kind of supernatural evil demon, but he wasn't. He was just a man, a man with a troubled psychology who fate put into an incredible position. I wonder how many people with the drive to bring a country from collapse to taking on the world, would not believe in their own invincibility and power?
We should always remember that he was just a man and needed no supernatural powers to cause so much devastation.
you know, after seeing all those parodies, i didn't think i could watch it and take it seriously, but seeing hitler rant about something so serious, i must say almost pissed myself
@TheSkaboose8291 Now I'm no history expert but based on the documentaries:
Germany lost because THEY DID what Hitler told them to do.
They were winning in the beginning because of Hitler's bluffing and Germany's efficient use of tactics (developed by generals, not Hitler). Stalin was losing initially because he liquidated his generals.
Hitler became proud as he was winning and took control making mistakes while Stalin, now loosing, allowed his generals to take over. And Soviets won.
They were also trying to fight the war on too many fronts. They were taking on the USSR, while also trying to help Italy maintain control of Africa and also trying to take Britain. They simply did not have the men or the resources to fight so many battles. Not to mention, the USSR had a far greater number of men than Nazi Germany, and were also accustomed to the conditions in Russia, which the Germans weren't.
All that aside, I think this is the best depiction of Hitler ever.
Wrong. If Hitler had withdrawn from Stalingrad earlier he would not have lost the war. The Generals asked for a withdrawal before winter and he refused.
I know this is a a sesitive subject, conscerning the countless souls lost in the war and events during the war. BUT the truth needs to be heard, desptie what people think. I don't support him, but the truth can be disregarded, sure, but not changed, like many people want it to be. He did care about the German people, but the power went to his head, and(this is just me) I would kinda want to play the blame game too if enemy soldiers were getting ready to bust in and try me guilty and hang me.
@Oshaoxin In that time, many women and young girls looked up to him as a leader as well as having a sort-of fatherly sense to him. In agreeance with the guys up top, Hitler WAS human, despite what many people think. And no one here wants to beileve that it was his officers as well that commited the atrocious acts of the Nazi party; it wasn't just him. Joseph Gobbles, Heinrich Himler,Gooring, and many others were part of his group. And EVEN THOUGH he didnt stop it, Himler crrated TheFinalSolution
thanks for ruining all those great parady videos for me, i can never look at them in the same way. But on the otherhand i guess it made me watch a great movie
@Mark123USA Why i must shuting the fuck up? Maybe you just need to read more real facts about history of WWII? You are only stupid american patriotic boy. Russia is not only Bears, Vodka and Boris Eltsin. Clean your brain, fucker. By the way, 9/11 was inside job, jerk.
I love these kind of movies that stick to historical facts. Not Just some horde of natzi zombies (though, that's cool, in it's own way). You know why they don't want to see Hitler as a human being? I think it was politic. If people start to see Hitler as human being, they'll sympathize with him and eventually learn of his belief (which is so, so wrong!) So in the end, they want everybody to think Hitler is an absolute evil and anyone who brought him down(you know who I talk about) is justice
Just gonna through this out there, but at 1:47, the guy in the brown jacket has a mild Derp Face. That aside, speaking as a Jew, I don't see what the critics have against this movie. All these people saying how they don't agree with seeing Hitler as a human being. I've always seen him as a human being, Eva is proof of that. Horrible, yes. Murderous, yes. One of the worst humans, yes. But still human. It is one of the main ideas in Judaism to consider all people human, even if it's a cruel person
@Arithmancer1 Your sentiments are rational and true. Hitler was not some demon or supernaturally evil entity. He was a human being warped by his environment as easily as anyone else could. They set out to make his movie different from all others, by not making it a character of the man but show him with startlingly and unsettlingly human traits.
@dpaanlka Some complain that the film "humanised" Hitler. But I think that's the whole point. He wasn't an evil robot, he was a real human who made those evil choices. And anyone can become truly evil - that's what should wake us up.
@musoderelict Of course, it's a shame that Hitler is so often portrayed as a sort of mythical creature when in fact he is a human, and this makes it so much more disturbing. In just this scene, you can see him go from villainous tirade to gently kissing a lady. That was the true Hitler. Only a human could be at once murderous and charming.
@Arithmancer1 he's part of the play called the human experience, he encompasses all that we fear in ourselves, People made a choice to either follow him, or to have no part of it. One day you will be asked the question, " how well did you serve your fellow man?" The universe evolves, as does the human consciousness. More free will choices are ON the way. That's what life down here is all about. Peace.
@Arithmancer1 As a fellow jew I have to agree, it's nice to see that other people know who he was, not the devil. but a very, very sick and twisted MAN
I haven't learned German yet, (it's on my list after Japanese and maybe Korean), but i've seen this movie so many times I know what he's saying by heart. I quoted it, in German, in history class for a project, I got an A+ and my teacher said I should sign up for play auditions cuz I played a convincing mad person really well :D
I can't take the real rant seriously. Not after he was not getting into Hogwarts, the Aussie fed election was undecided, he was banned from Xbox live, he couldn't get Assassin's creed Brotherhood before everyone else and the allies found his rape dungeon.
I love how what he"s actualy saying is as outlandish as any of the parodies. I also love that people mock hitler instead of fear him. If you take him seriously, he wins. Remember that kids.
@josetomastorres That was Joseph Goebbels, and he was on his way to kill his 6 kids, and then commit suicide with his wife because they'd lost the war.

This is the most amazing portrayal of Hitler I've seen...Genius? Yes. Mad Genius? Yes....if only his genius was guided toward the good of mankind.

Arithmancer1 4 months ago 45
@Arithmancer1 i like that, everyones human, from saints to monsters.
icepoop20 4 months ago
@Arithmancer1 Your sentiments are rational and true. Hitler was not some demon or supernaturally evil entity. He was a human being warped by his environment as easily as anyone else could. They set out to make his movie different from all others, by not making it a character of the man but show him with startlingly and unsettlingly human traits.
dpaanlka 4 months ago 24
@dpaanlka Some complain that the film "humanised" Hitler. But I think that's the whole point. He wasn't an evil robot, he was a real human who made those evil choices. And anyone can become truly evil - that's what should wake us up.
musoderelict 3 months ago
@musoderelict Of course, it's a shame that Hitler is so often portrayed as a sort of mythical creature when in fact he is a human, and this makes it so much more disturbing. In just this scene, you can see him go from villainous tirade to gently kissing a lady. That was the true Hitler. Only a human could be at once murderous and charming.

@Arithmancer1 Derpy was Goebbels. He always had a really strange face to him, even in the real world.

I actually feel sorry for this film, because it's like nobody can truly look at this scene seriously anymore.

Why can't I ever watch this again without a part of me still thinking it's another parody?:..
