  • She saidd funnest in this video hahaha not a wordd hun! It was terrible acting but these videos were sooo helpful

  • Having your friend there to ask questions is great. When you let her 'try' her hand at it, I almost feel like I'm trying it once...good teaching tool!

  • @PhatKatMedia Even a 'hobbyist' 'tabletop' printer should be built to honor what real screen printers need. YUDU has designed for NONE of that. I did not come here to breed contention but open some eyes. if you are in love with your YUDU...fine by me. Self punishment of all kinds has it's fans. I aim for those who want better for themselves...not for those who do not. My target crowd is not and will never be soccer moms/grandmas' and others who don't know and do not WANT to know.

  • Why is this product better than just buying t-shirt transfer paper and printing anything you want from your computer??? Seems so complicated!

  • This is nothing more than a toy! It is more marketing hype than screen print reality. WHY would you pay more to print with a YUDU than it costs to do it the way REAL screen printers do it? See my 'All About Screen Printing' videos and you will soon know the reality. Get pro advice not the marketeer hype. Also see the video: 'YouTees vs YuDu Screen printing' here on youtube. 'Yu' will be glad you did.

  • @youteesdotnet I think you are missing the point of the Yudu. It is not a screen printer for a shop but then again neither is yours. The Yudu works great for hobbyist! You mention cost but your unit cost more than the Yudu and and all you get is a frame, platen, and stand. Which would leave someone to still need an exposer light and supplies. You can always upgrade paints and emulsion with the Yudu. Marketing Hype! There is more highlights, CAPS & !!! on your site than I have ever seen before.

  • @PhatKatMedia Yudu use sthe worst inks ...water based. and the PLASTIC poor excuse for a 'platen' will not work with heat cure plastisols(true quality and FAR easier to use ink),nor the cheap excuse for a squeegee. thye Yudu is marketeering JUNK and i will meet you in any Kitchen anywhere; anytime and make it VERY clear to you. The onhgoing costs of Yuidu supplies are an insult to anybody who has a heart for screen printing. My equipment is based on REAL world SP truths...Yours is NOT. Period.

  • HOW MANY T SHIRTS CANN U DO WITH THE YUDU MACHINE WITH THE SAME DESIGN...AND DO U HAVE TO KEEP ON PUTTING MORE PAINT FOR EACH SHIRT?

  • after you do one shirt can you do another one?...or even more?

  • The videos are fantastic the olnly problem is that both girls are so very ATTRACTIVE that i lost track of the videos and learning, jejejejeee, awesome videos though, you girls make it look like 2 good friends not just some acting!!!!!! great videos

  • thats actually a nice guitar

  • Make sure you use alot of ink so you can wast it and buy more of their over priced ink. i dont think you need that much unless you want the image thick!

  • when done with that shirt can i just put another shirt on there n add a little more ink to make more than one shirt at a time.?

  • For sure get the 10 packs of yudu emulsion films from EMULSIONSHEETSdotCOM or from STORESdotEBAYdotCOM/BCN for only around 22 dollars. Soooo much cheaper and they are the same exact emulsion films that come with the Yudu.

  • How do you need to use the iron to set the ink on the shirt?

thanks I have two yudus getting ready to do my first shirts.

    thanks Carolann

  • can you reuse the screen. how do you take the desing of the screen.?

  • Thanks for the tutorial. I've been seeing this kit for a while now but didnt quite understand why it was so bulky. I had no idea that this thing was a drier and light source for burning emulsion. And now that i've seen it in action I'm gonna have to try it out. I personally like cutting my own stencils but the platform and hinge setup is is perfect and its small enough to be portable. You don't have to make wooden frames and work in the hot garage. I am sold. Is the ink any good? I use speedball

  • nice vid, how difficult is it to do multiple colors on a yudu? or is the yudu just meant for single color prints

  • i would like to know that as well....?

  • you have to make a stencil for each color

  • LOL more ink means you got to pay more then they jake up the price of the INK. You can go to a screen printing supply buy the containers of ink for a lot cheaper probably.

  • Good advice, the containers make it easier to save the access ink, but dont buy ink thats too cheap.

  • My mom just bought one of these, (:

She jsut made me a shirt for going to highschool football games. Woo!

  • I love this machine. Its turning into more fun than I imagined. I make my son's school spirit shirts and personalize them. He's the only one in school with them. The look so professional. I've had offers to do shirts for groups but havent taken on that yet.....kinda hesitant.

  • A tutorial for girls, nice!!! :)

  • Okay, so they didn't mention if image has text... and how to lay that since she went into detail about how to put the emulsion on what (flat / flush) side AND what about if you are doing more than one shirt at a time? Do you rinse screen after each shirt?

  • You don't have to rinse after each shirt, I just print 10 and did not have to rinse, just don't over load screen with ink and you will be fine...

  • she used wayyyy to much ink.

  • Wicked home brew! Check out my videos for tutorials on screen printing tee shirts. Questions welcome.

  • LOL...wow they made this entire product too complicated!

  • agree!!! Seems like it takes longer to make a shirt than to have it shipped to your house. haha.

  • when you iron it do you iron directly on the ink or do you flip the shirt inside out and iron it like that?

  • They're so well-mannered. :) I can't wait to try the YuDu!

  • Thank you for posting this tutorial this is the best on ethat I have seen on Youtube

  • WOW that takes waaay to long to make and too many steps IM NOT BUYING THAT PRODUCT too big too

  • if you try by the traditional way is MORE long to make and a lot of equipment

  • I"m sorry jrussels that you are a big idiot. This is a great machine, as well as the best video tutorial on the web. DUMBA..

    JOANNDOTCOM GREAT TUTORIALS!!

  • i have this yudo thing. & i'm curious to know what the light button is for? & by the way your video is alot better then the one the yudo came with.. thanks.

  • The light button is intended to help you when you do multiple designs/layers by allowing you to see the designs underneath when you layer your work.

  • will this do multiple colors?

  • can you do more than one color?

  • you know what? this thing is not only too expensive, but also takes waaaaaaaay too long!

  • $25+ for extra screens is just way too much. There are too many places in town that will do small runs with a setup fee lower than $25. I'll pass.

  • Just a friendly suggestion from an art student who's screen printed...

In the demo she uses packing tape, not recommended. Instead, use regular masking tape or painters tape, it will just make your life easier and it won't ruin the screen or your emulsion.

Also, to save money (whether you're using the YuDu or not), get a spatula and collect all of the excess ink and put it back into the bottle. Trust me, your wallets will thank you for that.

In regards to clean up, bleach will work just fine.

  • @tigerlily625 You forgot to mention that a REAL squeegee will work better! You forgot to mention that a REAL screen(which is far better and cheaper than YUDU poorly made screens)will aslo work better. You forgot to mention a REAL platen will work better than the plastic 'thing'...You forgot to mention that REAL inks(plastisol/heat cure)will wrok better...OH...that pretty much knocks out the WHOLE YUDU system! YUDU proves that there are still LOTS of folks marketeers can take advantage of.

  • @Joanndotcom I think an in-store demo would do a great deal. I personally would love to test it for myself. Thats how I got suckered into buying the (then new) Cricut Expression at Michaels.

  • Our large format stores hosted a free Yudu demonstration this past Saturday, March 7.

  • The videos (all 7) have a great deal of info. The product seems to be a great buy. However Im not sure how replacement items will cost ei: the fan inside and the light bulbs to burn. How easy will they be to replaced? Also, while watching the last part of video 7 towards the end, after they have screen the image on the tshirt, the actual screen looks unsteady and not wanting to stay down. I find that sometimes Ineed to run my squeegee twice even three times. Bobbing screens create double image.

  • ok ... i was seriously thinking about buyng this machine until i saw the video now it just looks like a total waste of time and money ... imo not worth it

  • How hard is the clean up? Is that screen reusable or do you need to buy a new screen for each project? How much would new screens cost or how hard is it to reuse the screen? How many t-shirts could you print with one screen? What about kid sized t-shirts? It looked like the platen (sp?) was too large to use with a kid's shirt.

This looks like it could be pretty cool, but I need some questions answered before I decide.

  • I assume the screen is reusable, but to clean the emulsion from a screen is difficult. The only sure way to clean it effectively is to use a pressure washer. If you don't get every speck of emulsion completely out of the screen before reusing it, it will never come out and you'll be left with areas of the image that won't be printed.

  • I can appreciate your screen prints you made for me now, ManBray. I had no idea how it all worked. Don't think I'll be purchasing one of these anytime soon, too much fuss.XOXO

  • How much would new screens cost or how hard is it to reuse the screen? Screens retail for $25.99. If you use the Emulsion sheets, reuse is simple. Make sure the emulsion is completely dry before burning a screen. If it is still damp at all, it won't burn correctly and may wash off.

  • Hi Joanndotcom, Im very interested at buying this product. Currently I have traditional screenprinting equipment and a Gocco Machine. Im planning to expand my supplies. Im thinking this product will be a great addition. I was wondering where I can purchase supplies like extra screens, emulsion sheets, sticky pads, etc. Will ALL be available at the store/online? I live in Canton, MI. In addition, what are the prices for additional supplies.

  • How many t-shirts could you print with one screen? - You can keep reusing the same screen to print multiple times. How many precisely will depend on the intricacy of the design.

  • How hard is the clean up? Is that screen reusable or do you need to buy a new screen for each project? You can use YUDU Emulsion Remover to remove any emulsion from the screen. Once it is clean, you can apply emulsion again and start with a new design.

  • pretty cool, cause this way you can print your images anywhere on the shirt, wheras if you sent it to a company they only do certain sections. like below, how cost effective is this compaired to just sending your image to a big company and ordering a stack of say 10? and is the quality decent, not cracking?

one more lol, are you comhow capable of doing multicolours, or would you be better of just buying an actual printer that prints on shirts? lol thanx

  • How cost effective is this? For instance, if you were doing logos on shirts what would be the cost if you were doing 10 shirts?

  • Cool

  • How AWESOME! I am a graphic designer and screen printing is really neat! I can't wait to get a hold of one of these guys! Thanks for the instructional videos too! Its exactly like the pros use!

  • Funnest?
